“Stayed here recently after we went to a Christmas do here. Staff were really friendly, the rooms were so clean and spacious. The food was delicious including breakfast. Thank you for a lovely evening / morning.”

“We booked a pre-Xmas festive evening meal for 6. The restaurant was warm and the table beautifully set up. We all enjoyed turkey, beef, sea bass with plentiful vegetables and tasty desserts. Very reasonably priced with good, friendly service.”

“Visited today first time in years, decent prices, good service, mixed bag of regulars who appeared to be looking out for each other. Bar staff friendly and efficient never waited long to be served. Warm and comfortable even sitting near the main entrance. It's definitely an old time pub and although it's been through various changes since I first drank in there it remains an old time pub. A firm competitor for whetherspoons.”

“Great boozer, brilliant private room upstairs for events, drinks are very reasonably priced and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Super quirky place with interesting bits and bobs everywhere you look. The smoking area is brilliant too, even the toilets are cool as hell.”

“Had a lovely meal at a large special birthday gathering. The staff were very well organized and the meal was tasty and everyone got what they had ordered. We had several children on our table ranging from 3- 7. unfortunately our table was one of the last to be served. so rumbling bellies. Apart from that a great night.”

“What a FANTASTIC night. Aidan and the team were fab. The service was on point. The food was awesome (we have brought a lot home as we had eyes bigger than our bellies. The cocktails were delicious. The atmosphere was fire. We went for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and had the best night and it was so so needed. Aidan, you were a legend. Thank you SO MUCH. The evening was exactly what was needed.”

“I came for food on Thursday at 1500. Very welcoming service. My waitress was Georgia and she gave me the best recommendation on the menu. The food was banging the Mediterranean wrap, with a side and the biscoff cheese cake. 10/10”

“We had a lovely experience, from the warm welcome to the delicious food and accommodating staff. We had a child with nut allergy which was taken very seriously and all the staff were attentive to our large group. The food was very tasty and plenty to go round which enabled us to share round the table. Thank you for a great experience.”

“Didn't have a booking but was seated straight away by friendly staff. Drinks were ordered and arrived quickly, lovely holdens pink gin and pint of glow. Our food was fresh hot and very lovely, lasagna with garlic bread & salad and large fish & chips. Don't usually have room for pudding but there was black forest sponge on the menu so had that, it was huge and delicious, gutted I had to leave a bit, and my hubby had a mini dessert platter. Food was delicious, restaurant was very clean and spacious and all the staff were friendly. Will look forward to another visit soon.”

“We chose The Swan for my brother in laws wake we found the place to be a good size for the amount of people that were coming, spoke to Jodie about what food they could provide we chose the hot and cold buffet which was presented and tasted lovely nothing was left. “Booked Gilbert's for an upcoming family function, venue clean and well kept, staff friendly and accommodating, outdoor seating by entrance, easy parking access to the side of the building. Would recommend for private hire, just book in good time as they get booked up fast.”
