“Great local pub, big cobs and a nice atmosphere, plenty of ales although ironically I only drink Madrid these days so can't comment. I know it's still summer but in winter they have 2 open fires burning logs for a lovely warm effect too.”

“We chose The Swan for my brother in laws wake we found the place to be a good size for the amount of people that were coming, spoke to Jodie about what food they could provide we chose the hot and cold buffet which was presented and tasted lovely nothing was left. I would highly recommend this place for the professionalism and respectful staff on this occasion will be most definitely be going back to enjoy the live music and atmosphere”

“Had a lovely meal at a large special birthday gathering. The staff were very well organized and the meal was tasty and everyone got what they had ordered. We had several children on our table ranging from 3- 7. unfortunately our table was one of the last to be served. so rumbling bellies. Apart from that a great night.”

“I would like to thank your very attentive staff for their friendliness and consideration when my friend and I came to see Downton Abbey. My friend uses a walker and needs assistance so I called in on Saturday to ask some questions and book our tickets. The lady who helped me and answered my questions was really lovely. When we came in Monday the young man checking tickets very kindly showed us to the screen and helped us parking the walker. He was very helpful and approachable. My friend doesn't go to the cinema often because of limited mobility but she will certainly go again now particularly as the seating was extremely comfortable too.”

“Me and my partner called in here on a Saturday night and ate the most beautiful Indian cuisine. It was cooked to perfection and to our taste. We didn't want it too hot and had no problems whatsoever, as the chef listened to our concerns and made it beautiful. I'd never had the bread before called paratha and was pleasantly surprised. “Attended the Chestnut Tree with 11 friends on 10/12/25 for our Christmas meal. We all had the 3 course festive menu. the food was superb as was the service. This is our usual pub so was really pleased that everyone else, who all drove miles to this venue, all agreed the food was amazing and an excellent price.”

I thought the prices were decent and worth it for what we had. We were served by Angus, he was a friendly guy, made some good conversation while we checked out the menu and made the visit enjoyable. . Would definitely go back!”
