Bar pub in Wolverhampton

“*Update* - Had lunch there again today. Really lovely experience, thanks to Tonya. We had the lamb rump, fish and chips and the sweetcorn fritters. Such friendly service! Absolutely recommend! Really great find, just outside Cannock on the A5. Awesome parking (lots of disabled parks and parks for people with kids). Very friendly staff, great menu, very clean and welcoming. More like a restaurant than a pub (in a good way) but has a really well stocked bar, which I'm sure you could enjoy sitting up there with a cocktail or two. Dog friendly, in a sectioned area (which is great for those of us with dogs and also for those not wanting to dine around dogs). Toilets were clean and presentable. The food was very good, we had the chicken supreme, the corn fritters and a steak. All were really excellent. The service is efficient and professional, we had Steph & Suzie looking after us. We will definitely be back!”

“Had a lovely carvery for mom & dad's 76th wedding anniversary with the family Plenty of parking space. Eady access to the pub. Had an alcove of the pub to ourselves. Staff were very accommodating & service was with a smile. Meat was plentiful, mash, roastas & yorkies were delicious my only gripe would be that there was only a small selection of veg. Gravy was delicious plenty of condiments too. We will definately eat at the castle again so would definitely reccomend oh & the prices are also very reasonable. Dad loves Guinness & is really fussy the Castle is the only pub in Wolverhampton that he has enjoyed it, which is always a bonus.”

“The staff here are incredibly friendly and genuinely kind—some of the best you’ll ever meet. I visited a year ago and came back to the same great experience. The person who served us went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies, helping me use the allergy filter on their website and coordinating closely with the kitchen. “I had a meal at Wrottesley Arms today and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and well-prepared, but what really made our visit special was the outstanding service from our waitress, Tina. She was exceptionally friendly and polite, always wearing a smile .Tina went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and ensured we had everything we needed.No job was too big or too small for her, and her attentiveness really stood out. Highly recommend visiting for great food and excellent service.I will definitely be returning back here Soon!”

“The posada is a stunning Victorian era pub with mostly original interior, including tiled walls and bar fittings. The pub is of national importance. There is an excellent selection of beers larger and cider, including four hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when we called in. There is an outside seating area behind the pub. Regularly featured in the Camra Good Beer Guide. A great pub highly recommended.”

“You will enjoy this lovely bar. Restaurant. We called in for dinner. The food was exceptiinal. Many srlections of beers lagers and wines. Landlord welcomed us, reminding us that a welcome smile and chat is still available in pubs in this area Hope you try tgere veggue ootiins. I am not a veggie but it seemed a waste not to try domething differrnt. Just guve it ago and enjoy a relaxing evening or weekend treat. “Visited today with a large group for a birthday celebration and we were really pleased with our choice. Service is absolutely fantastic as usual and they were so patient with the kids and changes to the order. Food was fast, hot and tasty. They cater to gluten free really well so that set my mind at ease for my daughter. Great interior and decor, and clean everywhere in arrival with a lovely welcome sign for my other half’s birthday. Lovely little oasis in Wolves, recommend to anyone wanting a great value meal in a relaxed environment.”

“​We had such a cracking experience at Hollybush—we were truly impressed! ​Right from the start, we felt welcome. The first staff member we spoke to, a young woman in black, was incredibly friendly and happy to answer all our questions. We had booked a table online, we noticed the tables had names on and then we found the table which had been allocated to us with our name on up in the back area with the kids' toys. Honestly, what a brilliant idea—it's such a thoughtful idea and keeps the little ones happy. ​When we ordered, the staff were all professional, efficient, and polite. The only slight disappointment was that quite a few things were off the menu—like the kebab, the whole pizza selection, and a specific gravy dip for the burger etc. ​We were told to expect a 40-minute wait for the food, but it arrived in around 30 mins and it was piping hot. The serving staff were attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with the meals. ​To be honest, we expected typical, run-of-the-mill, cheap pub grub, but we were completely wrong! The food was genuinely decent and cooked perfectly. From the fries being perfectly crispy to the burger patties being nicely charred, and even the kids' mac and cheese (which can often be terrible at big chain pubs) was great. ​The pub itself is huge, with so many different areas—it's a real breath of fresh air. We had an outstanding time, and we'll definitely be back very soon to dine with you again. Please do pass on our highest regards to the staff from yesterday—they were absolutely fab!”

“Dropped in for Sunday Dinner, randomly as we were passing by, when we arrived at about 5:15 the barmaid said they were closing early (service usually ends at 6pm on a Sunday). It turned out the landlord had a family emergency to deal with. I thought fair enough and said no worries, we would go elsewhere. Anyway, the landlord insisted we stay and reopened the Carvery, it was lovely and the Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was nice and despite it being right at the end of service it still tasted fresh and delicious. The chef did us a fresh batch of Yorkies which were excellent.”

“Today myself and my daughter randomly decided to go to harvester after some shopping. We was greeted and seated by emma. She was friendly polite and immediately took our orders for our drinks and gave us menus. We opted for the 2 course lunches and refillable drinks. Our salad bowls were brought straight to us them. We're We helped ourselves to the yummy salad cart. I had scampi and chips..scrumptious My.daughter had classic chicken which she said was lovely. We both had treacle pudding which was a good portion with custard. Emma was very attentive to us checking in our food was ok and everything was ok. She was very pleasant and smiley. A credit to your establishment We will definitely be returning again very soon for your breakfasts.”
