“I have recently moved to Kemnay, but not knowing the area or where to take my car for an MOT test, I took my car to the Aberdeenshire Council workshop in Inverurie. The car having failed its MOT, I was looking for a decent local garage, which could be quite challenging. I asked the local Land Rover garage if they repair other makes; they said they do not but recommended Brian Downie in Kemnay, who repairs all car makes. I went straight to him and asked for an estimate, which I found quite reasonable, and booked it in for repairs. Reading some comments on Google where some say that he is rude and arrogant, I was somewhat concerned, but since I needed the car to be repaired, I thought I would put up with it. So I did. Yes, at first, he on the surface appeared to be somewhat "rude" and "arrogant," as the posters said; however, he turned out to be a very kind, honest, and helpful man. I had another quote from another garage in Inverurie, but it was more expensive, in which they also included wheel alignment, which I did not require and was not required for MOT testing either, which raised my eyebrows. Fast forward, the car was repaired, and he phoned to tell me that the car is ready. I went to pick it up and was pleasantly surprised at his honesty: the repairs cost less than initially estimated, and he also carried out a small extra work, which I really appreciated very much. Please do not be put off by his appearance, as it could be his nature, as I found him to be a very kind, honest, reasonable, and helpful mechanic. At the end, my impression completely changed, as I found him to be a pleasant person to do business with, so I would highly recommend him.”

“Contacted Richard at Remap Aberdeen about my 20230 AW1 Polo GTI. Car just wasn't performing as it should have, factory map was flat and DSG gearbox was slow in shifting. Agreed on a Quantum combined ECU and DSG remap. Booked in quickly, and the team ran the new maps. What a difference. Car was transformed. Smooth transition of power and DSG shifting through the range is now quick and precise.”

“I required urgent assistance on Saturday after discovering my front passenger tyre had a puncture and was completely flat. With this being a Saturday I first opted to take my car to a local garage a couple of minutes from where I stay (Laws Tyres in BOD), however this company advised me that I required all 4 tyres to be replaced and my alignment fixed and that I would be a total of £590 to have this work carried out. This sounded questionable, however as I needed my car to be drivable I requested if it would be possible to have only the front 2 x tyres replaced whilst I shopped around for a better deal on the back 2 tyres. The manager of the above store told me this was not possible as I needed to have all 4 tyres match so not to set off sensors in my car. Being a 30 year old female with limited knowledge on cars I decided to get in touch with Kwik Fit in Dyce, who were extremely helpful, stating it would not be a problem to replace the front 2 tyres and very kindly managed to have me fitted in for an appointment that afternoon. From the moment I walked into the reception area the staff shown great customer service - very polite and eager to help. Within 30 minutes my car was ready to collect. The salesman from Kwik Fit was extremely knowledgeable and showed me the data on screen which had been collected during their checks which showed my back 2 tyres are fine and would not need replacing, that there were no alignment issues and that my car intact does not have the sensor system which Laws tyres told me I did. The Honesty and transparency from the Kwik Fit team saved me a total of £450 on Saturday. I drove away a very happy customer and cannot recommend the Kwik Fit Dyce branch enough to anyone who is looking for a reliable, friendly car garage to help with any questions, problems or issues.”

“I had an recent minor collision at Kingsford roundabout near Westhill -- contacted my insurer online, and they highly recommended Autospray Aberdeen - 1st choice. Aviva were great and got call from Autospray the same day, asking to bring the car up for an eval (car was driving fine, just some front bumper/near-side wheel arch and wing scuffs). Tech came out and checked over my Outback, and did a good review and knew what parts needed to be ordered. Advised 4 days for repair. Sarah was very good at arranging the pickup before and delivery of the car after repair, once the parts came in. Good communication from Sarah and 4.5 days working from home (ADAS calibration delayed delivery by a day), the repair they have done is excellent, its as good as when i picked it up new from C&M McDonald in 2022. Front bumper & left wing fit perfectly and the paint blends in very well, impressive! The car was returned by the same helpful driver, it was valeted & washed, so easy to inspect. I only hand detail the car, so i know every inch of it. I would definitely recommend Autospray Aberdeen for anyone needing accident repair or paintwork correcting.”
