“Came in just myself and enjoyed my time. The place was clean and the staff were always making sure to clear/reset tables quickly. Staff were friendly and joked with the guests. I had a hot chocolate and a traybake and it’s clear they are made freshly. I would recommend this place to anyone who was visiting both Aberdeen and the beachfront”
“Bar staff are friendly, regulars are lovely. Been drinking here for many years and always a great bar. Highly recommend.”
“Went here for the football game. It's a true sports bar. Huge number of quality TV's over 16 of them I think so not the usual task of crowding in for a couple of screens. Super service and super friendly staff on top made this a great visit.”
“Incredible place , just by walking in there feels like home. Amazing atmosphere and staff Great place to spend the evening and night”
“Amazing bar. Was only 2 old regulars in when I got there. Made me feel like a local. Cheers guys.”
“Great range of crafting stock, nice staff too, very helpful”
“Small local pub, decent selection of beers and spirits available, nothing too exotic, but I wouldn’t expect it somewhere like this. Saturday afternoon pretty busy with people socialising and watching the sport on the TVs. Good outside space for when the weather is nice.”
“Well stocked for a smaller bar. Best thing about Wagleys has to be the most patient and friendly staff we experienced in our time in Aberdeen.”
“First class traditional Aberdonian pub owned and run by Viki Lumsden . Every month pubs like this one close due to lack of patronage. Get down there and Chuck some darts. Reasonably priced and central location make it a good start for a night out in Aberdeen.”
“Hidden gem! Great Guinness and service Also has a pool table and darts”
“I visited here on an open mic poetry night and I loved it. I'm quite an awkward person so I pushed myself to go out myself to experience this and the bar staff made me feel very welcome throughout the night. It was great getting to listen to everyone's creative efforts and the environment was cosy and friendly. It's great to see venues supporting creative endeavours”
“Lovely place really spacious and modern great place to hang out and watch sports plenty of tvs. Really good food and great service the staff were very friendly and accommodating such a reasonable price for a city centre establishment. We will definitely be back highly recommend.”
“Great festive menu and good value for money. Portions were large! I had the festive burger with pulled pork it was divine. Theres lots of seating though id reccomend booking as can get busy!. We are always well looked after when we go for food or drinks. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Would highly reccomend eating and drinking here.”
“This is the first time we have been to Vovem since their re-opening recently. Their team is solid, from host to bar to service, we had a wonderful experience. Servers are knowledgeable and well-spoken. We were sat near the kitchen which was nice to observe, but perhaps a little loud due to traffic of servers walking by, that did not affect the experience. Food was good and well-priced.”
“This was our first time coming to this restaurant in a number of years and we were very impressed. We came on a weekday lunchtime and the food was amazing, lovely atmosphere with the Christmas decorations and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back more regularly.”
“Lovely place to watch football with beer. Very kind staffs and a number of large screens. There are pool table, darts, and some playing machines. One thing you might need to keep in your mind - the kitchen’s last order for foods is 7:45pm, so be there earlier than that if you would like to bite some chips.”
“I came up to Aberdeen for the day and stopped by this pub for some food and some drinks, the staff were fantastic especially Tracey. She was really awesome, attentive and friendly. Made me feel really welcome there. would definitely come back again.”
“Great time meeting up with friends, nice food :)”
“One of the top Irish bars in Aberdeen! Visited here recently with family for some Christmas drinks, shout-out to the lovely and friendly barmaid Amy, who poured me my first pint of Guinness! Will definitely be back.”
“It's a nice city centre pub, down the stairs from Union Street on The Green. It's normally pretty lively there. There's a really good function room upstairs with a bar which is great for birthday parties. There was a male stripper there last night for a hen party who were using the function room - always a good laugh!”
“Bartender was very nice and helpful. Made great food recommendations. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. Very accommodating to my service animal.”
“Booked cocktail making at Paramount and Murray was amazing, a good laugh and made the night great. Highly recommend!”
“Friendly service Wonderful atmosphere”

“A delightful little cafe in the heart of the city. I’ve been twice now and I have no doubt I’ll be back again. A friend and I were enjoying the sun at Union Terrace Gardens when we both fancied a coffee. We went to Common Sense, but just they had closed. Very kindly, they still served us coffees to takeaway, which we very much appreciated and enjoyed. I went back on my lunch break a couple of weeks later and got a double espresso, curried vegetable soup and cheese scone to takeaway. The food was delicious and after having worked as a barista for a few years, I consider myself to be a little bit of a coffee snob. I was far from disappointed with the espresso. Perfectly balanced and brewed. £10.25 in total and of course more expensive than a now almost £4 meal deal in the supermarkets, but a wonderful treat. Although small, there is still a good amount of seating considering and I’ve found the service to be second to none. An absolute gem to have here in Aberdeen.”
“Dive bar and grass roots music venue in the city centre is often packed with people. The band playing when I went there was superb and it was nice atmosphere with a good crowd.”
“The best place for you and your mates to unwind and have a great time. The service is top notch 100 percent. Met a few good folks.”
“Old worldly drinking bar, verly busy. You get a good pint, no food.”
