“Excellent customer service from 2 young men working on 9th Jul 2024 at 15.15. First young man was standing in entrance area, by computer screen ready to take our order. He punched the details in himself (was in to order a Titan petrol lawnmower) and then proceeded to collect the lawnmower from the storage area. I hardly had time to open my purse, when the guy at the till asked how I would like to pay. I left the shop, to reverse my car towards the main door - and as I was doing so, the till man was already standing at the door, with the lawnmower in his arms, ready to manhandle it into my car. These two young men helped, without being asked. They were very pleasant, smiling and joking. We were in the shop for 5 or 6 minutes. Amazing service guys. Ten out of ten. Well done.”

My husband and I had used this company for our own wedding eleven years ago and Michael had done such a great job, that I had no hesitation in using him for my son's wedding at the Ivanhoe. The room looked amazing and the atmosphere was perfect with the lighting that Michael had recommended. He lit our live band perfectly and liaised with them behind the scenes to get things right. “Visit to the store on Sat 27th July looking for outdoor toddler toys. Was quickly approached by a young guy - i'm assuming a student who quickly identified what we were looking for and directed us to and ex display slide and ex display climbing frame. We agreed to purchase, he radioed a code through to the tills, we went and paid. By the time we had got back he and his colleague had moved the items to the door for easy loading, they then even help me put the toys in the van. Both these young men should be commended for the friendly and helpful approach. They went the extra mile for us.”

“I enjoyed visiting here. There is a good range of audio visual items. These range in price up to quite expensive - but for the more expensive items, they are high end. I bought a soundbar and there were several to choose from. Of these I was able to get a demonstration in-store. There is also a selection of multimedia cables to purchase from.”

“We purchased a ‘little tikes’ Cozy Coupe, for our 2 year old grandson, at the weekend. I started to put the little car together on Sunday, and as the instruction leaflet said that the approx assembly time was 50 minutes, I thought no problem !! Nearly 3 hours later, I was still struggling with it, with bits not fitting properly ‘for me’. I took the half built car, the numerous parts & the box that everything came in, back to the Smyths store the following day, thinking that my purchase may have been faulty. A very friendly staff member at the tills contacted one of his colleagues (Louis) to come to my rescue. Louis appeared & straight away started to put the little car together without any questions & had my grandson’s new wee pressie up & running within 30 minutes !! Louis did this without any fuss. He was a lovely, friendly fellow. Brilliant service & a life saver for me.”

“I bought a cot mattress from Smyth's Forestside a few weeks ago, unfortunately when I brought it home it was not true to size and left a dangerous gap of about 6cm between the cot and mattress. I contacted Smyths customer service over the phone and they sent me a form to fill in with details of the incident and photos of the gap measurement. Smyths customer service was excellent and fully investigated the matter and contacted Smyths in Forestside on my behalf who then provided me with a replacement mattress if my choice. When I returned the faulty one, the staff in Forestside were already fully aware of the situation and provided excellent customer care. Monica in the Nursery section of Smyths was very friendly and helpful. I am delighted with the replacement mattress. Thank you for all the help, my 1 year old is getting a great night's sleep thanks to all at Smyths.”

“This is the 3rd Currys I have been in and the first where I was actually helped by a young lad Michael in TVs Every other store (Lisburn ,Craigavon) no one was available to help and when trying to flag someone down they where busy with someone / something else Michael answered the questions I had and helped me come to a decision on what TV to get Was meant to call back next day but couldn't get back to the store but bought the TV online and is getting delivered just felt that the store and the worker needed acknowledgement of how well they are doing the job Because of his knowledge I actually purchased the dearer one at £900 instead of the £600 one Keep it up Currys Newton abbey will be back”
