“Had an excellent meal at the Parlour Bar. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Expect a very large portion for a reasonable price. I'd advise making a reservation if you're planning to attend on the weekends. Overall a very excellent meal and establishment.”
“Great coffee Lovely fresh tray bakes Friendly staff Great location All round a really nice place to visit. Easy parking Lovely stunning views over Strangford lough”
“Went for lunch service was great food didn’t take long in coming out and the price was good”
“Small, romantic restaurant just outside the walled part of the city. The food here was really good. I highly recommend getting a selection of the meza. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back.”
“The quality of food, flavours, ingredients and customer service is as good as it gets. The venue is tidy, immaculately clean and well laid out. The general atmosphere and background music, make it the best place to eat in Belfast”
“Called in today, being brave for solo drinks, in search of the best Bloody Mary in Belfast! It did not disappoint me….. a lovely female server gave me a great Bloody Mary… and she was knowledgeable and fun. The atmosphere was amazing, great music, trendy but still kept a local pub’ feel about it. Thank you for making my solo visit easy and welcoming”
“The place is always busy which says a lot. It’s bijou and quirky. The staff are lovely - just folk trying to do honest work to make a living. The food is really flavoursome, the fish always meaty & fresh. There’s a wide choice in the menu with plenty of sides or small starters / you decide. They’re not licensed but you can byob & there’s a corkage charge dependant on wine/spirits/beer. They will provide glassware. The place is always warm and it’s homely & intimate. Recommended without a doubt.”
“As a regular visitor to this fabulous little gem, I cannot find fault in anyway. Menu - lots of tasty choices, good price Staff - attentive, friendly, professional Location - quirky, well decorated, vibrant One of the very few places in the city that’s properly dog friendly as opposed to “dog tolerant” If you haven’t tried here yet then I’d suggest getting some and giving it a go, but if you turn up at a busy time you may have a short wait ahead - but this is a good thing, would you rather go to a place with nobody in it - the place speaks for itself. Highly recommended”
“Some amazingly delicious food we got to taste here. I feel i have tasted the best Indian food until now in northern ireland. Very Authentic experience. A must must must try for everyone. Bombay chowpati chat♥️ Mango Lassi. Paneer Nawabi tikka..♥️♥️ Paneer garlic chili And garlic naan”
“Had a lovely midweek meal here. The set menu is great value and we loved having the chef put on such a great show. Food was fantastic and we even had enough left overs for the following evening. The staff made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend.”
“We ordered from here for takeaway. Great service and food was exceptional. Highly recommend.”
“This has to be one of the most friendliest pubs in Antrim, great food too. There is an old saying "there are no strangers in this bar, only friends who haven't met yet" this is very true of this bar.”
“The food has always been good and tasty and was great value too! Phoned in a take away order of Crispy Duck & Chicken Chow mein and all very tasty but do check the 2024 prices. Much higher than some menu photos here, but still reasonable enough.”
“This wonderful hotel is located in the former White Star Line drawing rooms. The windows have been preserved, creating a particularly cozy atmosphere, and there are numerous paintings with photographs of the Titanic and all those involved in its construction. The hotel is clean, and in the rooms you'll find a book about the hotel with numerous photos on the desk. The showers are clean, and the staff is polite.”
“Coppi was amazing. I was there for my graduation celebration the week leading up to Christmas and it was so good. Our visit really topped off a really happy day marking the end of my studies in Belfast. We had the choice of ordering from the Christmas menu or the regular menu - we went for the regular. The only snag when I tried to make a reservation was the website not allowing reservation for more than a group of 6, so I had to call. Food was yum - try the nachos and thank me later. Service was attentive. Really can't fault it. Overall, a really positive experience!”
“Last minute birthday treat for our (now) 7yo daughter. Service was great and staff couldn't do enough for us. We opted for 3 course special.. All the food was delicious and in generous portions, so we left stuffed! There is a typical Sushi train in the middle of the restaurant which is freshly stocked.. all looked really nice. Hope to return again soon! Well deserved 5 stars.”
“I took my family to Oliver's for Sunday lunch as we heard the sad news that they were closing. The food was superb and the staff very friendly. It's very sad to see a good restaurant have to close it's doors, I know Peter has done everything he possibly could to keep Oliver's running, sadly it is just not good times for the hospitality trade. My family wish Peter, his family and all the the staff the very best for the future.”
“The meal was better than I expected, to be honest. Especially given the reasonable pricing. The seafood chowder was served piping hot and was thick and fresh tasting. The brisket rigatoni was delicious. Plenty of beef in the dish and the sauce was slightly sweet. Didn't have a dessert because the servings were enough. Would return.”
“The food was really great, we had the monkfish, steak and lamb. As well as some delicious starters and desserts! The staff made sure we were well looked after even though there were a few really large groups! We thought we had booked into SHU but were seated in the downstairs area "Juls". It had a slightly different atmosphere with music with quite a loud bass. Not sure if the music was turned down or we got used to it but wasn't noticeable after a while!”
“This is my favourite café in Belfast. It is simple, straightforward and down to earth. The breakfast is wonderful, well cooked and not greasy. I've also had a couple of the lunch options - fish and chips and chicken goujons. Both were excellent. Lovely curry sauce, none of this fruity business, good little lick off of it. They take card or cash. The staff are very efficient yet you don't feel rushed. Far better than the like of Bob and Bert's. First class. Very highly recommended!”
“I recently had dinner at The Welcome - Hong Kong Cuisine to celebrate my Mother's birthday, and I honestly felt very happy very that evening! The service, the food, and the surprise birthday treat that the restaurant prepared was incredible! Unfortunately, I didn't capture the names of the staff. But rest assured that this establishment is fantastic for a wonderful experience and meal. I will certainly be returning soon!”
“Quick service and lovely food - the cauliflower poke bowl was full of a wonderful mix of flavours, sweet with a little of spice. A good choice of vegetarian/ vegan options available! Can also recommend the chocolate and fudge tart - it was the perfect finish to a meal if you don't fancy anything heavy or too sweet.”
“Booked for 11 on a Saturday evening after a recommendation and very impressed. Delicious food, amazing service and great atmosphere. Highly recommended and would book again in an instant”
“Exceptional I can’t believe this was our first time at this lovely bar/restaurant. It’s some h character and history all over the building with it being the oldest pub in Belfast. But aside from the venue itself the staff and food was absolutely amazing. Their beer garden is fantastic with lots for kids to play with also. We will definitely be back”
“I was back in the Empire for the first time in over twenty years and what a nostalgia trip it was! I did not realise that they served food now and I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. We had fish and chips, the Empire Burger and the Mexican Chilli Chicken burger, all with generous portions of chips or wedges. We were all very impressed. I had the chicken burger and it was so tasty! As we ate, we were entertained by the talented Jackie Rainy. Her acoustic set was just perfect and not loud which meant we could still have a conversation and enjoy the music at the same time. Overall we had a great time in the Empire and we would be very keen to return soon and do it all again!”
“We were in on Saturday past for a birthday celebration - 18 of us. We had the armoury pre booked with food platters included. Prie was out host for this, she was absolutely fantastic - Made sure everyone was happy with their food and drinks and everyone really enjoyed. The platters had so much food on them all fresh and hot. We then had table booked in the courtyard - again no issues other than we had to move after a few hours which we weren't aware of (possible mix up in communication). But Tina in the stock exchange worked her magic and swapped a few tables around to accommodate us. She was fantastic, so friendly and helpful and again checking everyone was happy. We had the best nights craic and would definitely recommend for a good night out! We will be back!”
“Good space to get food supplies in large sales. The fresh fish init for me!”
“Absolutely blown away by this place! On a Day trip from Dublin had dinner on this place… The food was simply amazing, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. To top it off, they generously offered us complimentary soup, fresh fruits, and naan breads – such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the huge portion sizes. You definitely get more than your money’s worth here. The seating area is comfortable and clean, and the customer service was warm, attentive, and friendly throughout. Honestly, what more could you ask for? This spot is an absolute gem for kebab lovers. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know!”
“We arrived without reservation as we are visiting Belfast. We explained to the host that we were there for the good reviews on Google Maps. He was extremely kind and got us a table. Very cozy atmosphere. From our table we could see the dishes being finished very carefully, fresh ingredients. Delicious food, amazing. Pizza even tastier than the ones I've eaten in Tuscany. If I could, I would give 10 stars.”
