“Spot on! Tried the tearoom in my journey to Holyhead. Lovely friendly staff and excellent food. Great value too. I nearly missed the requirement to register my car licence but rectified that in time!!”

“Fantastic pub & hotel! Free parking to the front and rear of the pub. Nice cosy room, went downstairs for tea, partner had the hunters chicken with chips & peas, said it was the best chicken he’d ever had! Only thing I’d ask for on the menu is a vegetarian option but I happily tucked into my halloumi fries and cheesy chips. Nights sleep for us both was good and so was breakfast, greeted by the nice staff with plenty of choice available. Some reviews here mention no staff available at breakfast time but being a relatively small establishment they of course will be busy prepping orders put in first. Partner enjoyed full English and I loved my beans on toast! Thank you very much for a pleasant stay!”

“Had lunch yesterday with my elderly mother. Staff were excellent, very attentive. Food was awesome, well cooked, hot and generous portions. Would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be going again.”

“I've lived near here for over 2 years and walked past this place many, many times but, last week, I was handed a flyer as I walked past offering two breakfasts with drinks for £13.50. We went and tried it out and I can honestly say that it was the best breakfast we have found in, or near, Kidderminster. We had a traditional English breakfast with orange juice and coffee. Everything was cooked extremely well, the plates were hot and the staff were friendly. To test it out, as to whether we were just first time lucky, we went back a few days later and it was just as good. Scrambled eggs were done to perfection, as were the poached ones. It's good value, even at full price but, at the promotional price, it's amazing. Bistrot Pierre will be seeing a lot more of us in the future.”

“Went tonight for the first time with family. Everything we ordered was excellent. You can always tell when a chef has worked hard on the food! I had Tandoori Salmon starter and Chicken Tikka Naga for mains. Hot but with amazing flavour. Everyone commented on how good their food was. Great friendly service too. We’ll be back! “we come here after we visit kinver edge for a drink and a meal. this place is very nice, there’s seating outside when the weather is nice, they have a nice size carpark, drinks and food is lovely, especially the fish and chips, my family have the sunday roast and they love it, they keep nagging me to take them again considering we live in birmingham. friendly staff and great service. oh and the chips were delicious.”

“Food is excellent, staff are polite, well-mannered and very accommodating when it comes to asking for certain ingredients to be left out of their dishes. We have our favourite items on the menu which we tend to stick to but tonight we tried a set menu option and it was fantastic. Arrived when it was supposed to, piping hot and plenty of it. Very impressed.”

“Great Pub/Restaurant. Brilliant play area outside for the kids. Carvery we had on Sunday was 10/10 amazing dinner. Service was best we've had for years! Won't go anywhere else for a Sunday dinner now.”

“Libby was very warm, attentive and very polite. The breakfast was very enjoyable. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, some people were wearing their pyjamas and doing their make up. The music was at the right level where we could have a conversation without being drowned out. The pub was clean, tidy and very well set up. The manager came in after to help shuffle some chairs which was nice to see, she even made the effort to have a lovely chat. Overall a very good experience and I look forward in visiting again. The staff are an asset to the pub.”

“My local Indian takeaway has truly mastered their art. I’ve had yet another gorgeous takeaway from them today- 10:10 gold standard. The food is consistently delicious—rich, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The customer service is top-notch too—friendly, prompt, and always attentive. Nothing is ever too difficult for them, I always modify items on the menu. I absolutely can’t recommend this Indian enough, a front of house staff member even offers to walk me to my car when my order is larger than usual.”

“Found this little gem by chance, and what a find. Recently taken over by new management. The decor was welcoming and comforting, with very nice leather sofa's and armchairs, amongst other tables and chairs. with a nice out door area included at the rear of the pub. We had an afternoon lunch which was of high quality at a very decent price. Staff was very pleasant too. A must visit, one which we will certainly be returning too soon.”

“The Weary Traveller has become my home from home this last week while I visit friends and family in the area. Sam was very welcoming and the local regulars have been accepting of this 'Auzzie outsider'. I haven't sampled the food but the ale is on par and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. The place can go from quiet to 'everyone singing to the duke box' very quickly indeed. Look forward to calling The Weary Traveller my 'local' for another week while I retread my infancy and continue to visit family.”

“The staff are some of the kindest, friendliest and patient people I’ve met. I will be honest I’m a frequent visitor to this Starbucks and the team always have a smile on their faces and offer the best service. I get making coffee of various forms is long and can take time but the staff always are kind and apologetic if needed. The music playing always makes me smile and the staff seem to have a laugh and support each other. I come back to this Starbucks for a reason. Well done team!”

“Hard to comment on atmosphere as it was a delivery. A bulk order for 32 people at the paintballing park down the road at Blakedown. A mixture of pizzas and fish and chips arrived promptly and super hot and fresh. Thank you so much, especially for going the extra mile on delivering to the tables.”

“2 night stay here for work and I happened upon The Gainsborough House Hotel at the last minute. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff could not do enough for me. I was welcomed with a free glass of wine, which was just what I needed after a long journey and the lounge/bar area was warm and cosy. My room was large and again, spotless. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the room had some useful extras, such as hairdryer, full length mirror, iron and ironing board - oh and a bath! Great free wifi and large TV, coffee/tea and biscuits. Travelling for work a lot, I often find mediocre hotels and am happy to leave, however, The Gainsborough was just brilliant in every way, including a wide range of breakfast foods on offer. I would highly recommend and will certainly use this hotel again. The main shout out is for the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly - I haven't had such a warm welcome in a while!”

“Went on a christmas work do on Friday 28th. Paid just under £60 pp.. absolute bargain. Nice 3 course meal, drink on table plentiful.and free bar. Branded drinks too ...gordons pink Gin.. waitressing staff and bar staff very good and friendly.. had brilliant night. DJ wasnt the best he catered more for the younger audience despite being asked for 70s and motown”
