“Great place to stop for delicious cakes and excellent coffee as well as a range of light meals, can certainly recommend the bacon sandwiches! Helpful staff who took time to help with our dietary requirements. We were able to find a good choice of food for people with food allergies. Good place to go with children. Dog friendly too, our dog was very happy with the dog treats! Pleasant sitting out area. Close to Saltaire. Very convenient for a stopping place on any of the lovely walks around the area.”

“We started our evening at this wonderful pub. The walls and ceilings are covered in pub memorabilia. They had a good 10 or so beers on tap including some Belgian ales. Great atmosphere.”

“Brilliant alehouse with loads of seating areas and a fine selection of beers on cask and keg. Very helpful bar staff (and lots of them) and extremely friendly local customers. Dog friendly pub too so poach can sit in and have a bowl of water.”

“I absolutely love it here. My first visit was around 2 weeks ago. As soon as I walked in the door I was made to feel so welcome. People are really friendly,the lady behind the bar was ace. There was a band on they were actually quite good. Love it here. Its going to be the one pub I'm gunna visit every week with all my sister's.”

“Wow. 20 years I've been coming here and never had a bad meal. The food is truly exquisite with perfectly balanced flavours, interesting combinations and always beautifully presented. My recommendation is go midweek for the £16 2 course menu. Great value. I am an ex chef and ex mystery shopper so am exceptionally hard to please- I flipping love the food here. Go try it. “I waited all week for Thursday to arrive (closed evenings Monday-Wednesday) so I could experience the food after a recommendation. The waiter welcomed me, I was worried there wasn't space as it was busy but thankfully there was. The menu is fairly short which is good, makes selection easier. Opted for starter of fishcakes and noodles main. Had Thai the elsewhere the day before and no sooner had I placed my order the starter was there!! I questioned the freshness there. Copper & Moss took an acceptable amount of time for the starter and the wait wasn't dissapointing, fresh and flavoursome. I was regularly asked if all was OK, there certainly wasn't a shortage of staff. When I came to the main I was informed they had run out of rice noodles, to be honest they could have probably said nothing as I hadn't paid much attention to what noodles they were, but I appreciated the honesty. I was offered some rice in addition, which I thought a strange combination, but again accepted the gesture, glad I did. The main was outstanding, the flavours were so fresh, having had a cold my taste wasn't at its best but this didn't make me miss the Thai basil flavours and combinations of seasoning making a delicious meal. The extra rice was used to mop up the remaining juices, lovely rice it was too, much appreciated. All very fresh and glad I had the opportunity to experience this meal and great service. Oh and I can't forget the Bloody Mary, after a b####y tough week it was much needed. Thank you.”

“Myself, my Husband and our little boy popped in for a quick family meal. We couldn’t fault the food or service. The staff were really accommodating and brought out or little boys food first and made sure he had cutlery he could use. The food was hot, well presented and came out quick. “Lovely music themed venue, great music and atmosphere. Highly recommend the american burgers and sandwiches. The vegetarian menu is outstanding, with alternatives to all meat sandwiches and burgers. Great drinks selection with real ale, cocktails and premium spirits.”

“Visit the Malt shovel monthly with Husband for Karaoke on Saturday nights. Great Karaoke host and good sound system. Cosy atmosphere, friendly crowd and attentive staff. Adequate Seating inside and outside. Clean toilets. Food is good and a varied menu. Great choice of traditional puddings and desserts. Wide selection of Drinks and cocktails at the average price. We park across the road rear of the shops.”

“Beautiful location on the river at Saltaire. Lovely decor and wide range of food and drinks. Excellent prices and the food was very tasty. My Caesar Salad had two very large pieces of chicken. My friend who is coeliac was well catered for. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Water and treats available for dogs too.”

“A good old fashioned "local pub". Ideal for the real ale drinker. Plenty of televisions for those who want to watch football. Always plenty of staff, so you are not waiting ages, to get your round in. However the noise is something to contend with. Because of the televisions, customers are shouting over the noise, to hold conversations. At times it can be overwhelming.”

“I planned a surprise meal for my husband’s 60th birthday for 18 of us and what an evening to remember Everything was perfect which includes the food, staff and service they couldn’t have done any better. I will definitely return and would highly recommend this place. A big thank you for all involved”

“Can't understand the bad reviews on here .I go every week with my friend and I would rather have a beverage that doesn't go cold after two minutes or while waiting for your food- It stays hot throughout your meal.The staff are lovely and I've never had a bad meal there .”
