βI have been pleasantly surprised at how good the teaching is here for swimming. After having looked at a fair few in the Bradford area, this is by far one of the best swim schools. The lessons are organised and the groups are small. All the instructors have a smile on their faces when teaching and look like they enjoy being there with the kids. Thank youβ
βBuilding a-bit burnt on front but overall its a 5 star and excellent staffβ

βJust a few weeks left then we will part from Splash after 9 years and both my kids have gone through it. The youngest is now at standard that with finishing primary school that she is done. Probably the best way to judge it is that twice we moved to Ogden Otters for 6 months or so each time due to it being closer and dates/times working better for us. However, twice we came back as Splash Bradford was simply way better (we used mostly St Bedes school but also Bradford Grammar School for a while). Ogden Otters told you how wonderful they were and how good their bespoke training pool was (and the water was warmer admittedly) but they were actually really poor. The pool was far too small, the lessons were of really poor quality. They would have a class of 6 and each child would do something with instructor whilst others waited at edge of pool. I took to timing Ogden Otters and on multiple occasions, I timed my daughter swimming for between 3 to 4 minutes in 30 minute lesson. At Splash, the classes are smaller with 4 maximum and often if kids don't turn up, my daughters have been in classes of 1 or 2. They ensure the kids are working almost constantly and with pool being much bigger than Ogden Otters, it all works way better. To my untrained eye, the lessons seem really good and the coaches know what they are doing. They are fun and the kids have always loved the 5 minutes at end when do fun things if they have worked hard. At end of day, I now have 2 kids who can swim with far better style than I ever had and I wish that I had Splash type lessons when I was young. Very happy to recommend them. One final thought, the communication and payment is also good and easy at Splash - you know where you stand. Ogden Otters amazingly took cash only and flat refused even a bank transfer. This was often inconvenient as don't carry cash anymore and if you were late, they imposed late penalty on you. It always felt like a tax fiddle which I don't approve of. Splash is all direct debits and clear communications.β
βLovely views of the ponds and the canal from our rooms. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfy.β
βlast-minute (typical male) search for a Valentineβs night getaway led me to a place in the center of Haworth that was booked within seconds. Then, I came across this little gem, full of surprises. My take on it: a great place nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire hills. I visited during the coldest time of the year. From the first call I made to the moment I left, I was impressed. The lady who answered the phone quickly confirmed availability, and Karen (a lovely lady I met outside) has kept the place spotless for over ten years. You donβt get a second chance to make a first impression, and they nailed it. We stayed in the Charlotte Room, which featured light grey wallpaper with peacocks etched into it, beautiful beams, and a cozy ambiance. The room included a sauna, and I enjoyed a swim as well. It was excellent value for money. The pub was equally fantasticβdespite being Valentineβs night, they managed to fit us in last minute. The mealsβboth breakfast and dinnerβwere generous portions, and the service was warm and attentive. To summarize, it was a refreshing change; in a world where things often donβt live up to expectations, this exceeded mine. A couple I met by the pool mentioned they had visited three timesβthat says it all! Highly recommended. When leaving the car, we unfortunately had a small mishap. i.e., it didnβt start, bit of a conundrum. We tried to start the car, and with the cold weather, it refused. Rang AA and went to a local pub. Hati, a waitress, was super helpful and suggested we get a hot chocolate and some Biscoff biscuits. She invited us in to sit by the fire. To some observers, this may have appeared small, but in the throws of one of Bradfordβs most desperately cold winters, it was so welcome and so appreciated. Thanks to all, and big thanks to Karen, who attempted to help us jump-start the car with leads from her car to ours. Our only downside was we had to get home and missed out on shopping in the charity shops and some of Haworthβs shops, so it felt a bit curtailed. But it was our Valentineβs break, and my treat is getting to share time with Carolyn, my girlfriend, incidentally truly my greatest find.β
βBoth my boys go here for swimming lessons. We change after one of the teachers from here covered a swim lesson at the previous swim school. The difference in teaching style was amazing, found out where she teaches (swim rite) moved my boys there, they have come on leaps and bounds since, with one of my children just about to start swimming competitively and hoping the other one will soon.β
βWe have two kids who are very strong swimmers and we have been coming swimnation for the last 5 years. Both my kids could swim without armbands from the age of 6 years old. Swimnation is a wonderful business with a fantastic team of instructors, we could not say a bad word about any of them. They take their jobs very seriously but know how to make it fun for all the children at the same time. Full of praise for the whole team and the facilities are spot on as well. 10/10 from me and Shelley! We could not recommend this business high enough. Steven, Shelley, Leo & Jakeβ

βDaughter has been going here for a while now and she absolutely loves it. Her confidence in the water has improved so much. The staff are always lovely, friendly and so helpful. Would definitely recommend for children swim lessons.. they do adult lessons as well but I haven't personally taken advantage of these.β
