“Absolutely incredible eatery. Stunning variety of small plates, lovely surroundings both indoors and out, and an extensive drinks list. The food was OUTSTANDING. The chefs catered to our request to have a dish that wasn’t on the normal menu. The food came out in good time and each dish had an entirely unique and tasty fingerprint. My personal favourite was the satay mushrooms with a cherry jus (inspired by PB&J). Big shout out to Amy and Claire who were fantastic and helpful hosts!”

“We went here for our anniversary dinner, wonderful food and service! We had the duck and lamb, both very tender and juicy. For starters we had the duck roll and scallops, I normally don’t enjoy seafood which I always find “fishy” but I loved the scallop, complemented by the sauce/puree that goes with it. For dessert we had the mango cheesecake, not the most impressive but not bad and would overall recommend this place !”

“Over the years we have had so many amazing meals inside and take-aways at home. We went recently with a friend who was visiting and again, as always had an exceptional meal. Mal’s dishes have so much flavour, are cooked perfectly every time and the menu offers a great range of flavours that is always changing. This time we had marble bread, carnitas, lamb and cheesecake/chocolate cake for dessert. Can’t wait to come back again soon!”

“This is one of Hove‘s best kept secrets, Where locals and regulars return, the fish is exceptionally good quality, Always fresh and they have the option of gluten-free batter too you can dine in or to have a takeaway you can phone up and order it and collect your own order or get a taxi to collect your order. It’s a good old-fashioned fish and chip shop.”

“Perfect airport cafe/restaurant with REAL art deco look and feel and panoramic views of the airfield, plus outside terrace to take the sun. We were there for cafe visit and were served by friendly, helpful staff. Good coffees. Tea in teapot and Danish Pastries to die for - ming that waistline!”

“Genuinely maybe the best 3 course meal I've ever had, booked the function room for a surprise 30th and was genuinely unbelievable. We had Riccardo (might be slightly wrong) but couldn't have asked for any more. It is slightly on the more expensive side but one million % worth it if you want the full experience. “Came to Brighton for a day trip. Was recommended this restaurant by a family member who had been before. Nice cosy old-school vibes. It was a sunny, warm summers day, so we sat outside. There was a range of dishes, but we went for the £27 for 2 course summer set menu, as it seemed a good value for money. I ordered raw rock oysters as starter. Got 3 fresh oysters which were fresh and juicy. Came nice and cold, with the mignonette and ponzu dressing. Delicious! Another person on the table ordered salt and pepper calamari and even though portion was small, with 3 large pieces of calamari, the taste was amazing and it was so fresh. The fish and chips were crispy and fish was flaky. Though again, could do with a few more chips. Tartare sauce was great! The mussels marinieres was exceptional. The sauce was extra creamy and goes well with chips. For the price of the set menu, its great value for money! Would highly recommend! There was bread that came to the table with delicious mackerel pate. But you will need to pay for a cover charge for this. Drinks menu was extensive. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend. Women’s toilet was up some narrow stairs at the top of the building.”

“Country pub vibes with nice atmosphere. Lots of seating inside and out. Food was good but could do with more vegan options. Facilities were good but no hand towels in the bathroom. Staff were good and attentive to the table, I would advise booking, we went on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy at lunch time”

“We just had our work Christmas do at Indigo. The food was excellent, particularly the traditional Xmas dinner. Succulent turkey and crispy roast potatoes. The service throughout the night ran line clockwork and it was a great atmosphere.”

“As a hgv driver travelling all over the country Thursday is treat day. Parked on Shoreham docks for the night it's quicker to walk to Chippy chips in Hove than to a fish and chip shop in Shoreham. And well worth the walk it was. Fish is cooked to order (large cod and chips) so a 10 minute wait to have my tea on the seafront all worthwhile. One of the best fish and chips I've had in my life. Great guys who run the place, yes you'll turn up and think oh could do with a lick of paint on the outside but don't let that put you off. Go in, order and go sit on/by the beach (weather permitting) and enjoy. 100% will be back.”

“Brunch was fantastic here. Food was great as well as drinks. We opted for the bottomless drinks, but as the restaurant was extremely busy was a little slow with topping us up but understandable. Friend’s steak wasn’t great but was replaced immediately. Other than that, food was so good we returned the next day before heading back home.”

“The old tollgate has produced such a consistent product for years they have got their carvery down to a fine art. Excellent value at 3 courses for under £30, great service and plenty of choice. Unlike most carveries, they even manage to keep the vegetables fresh. Easy to get to off the a27, and plenty of parking.”

“This newly opened pizza franchise today of The Fat Pizza is doing amazing opening deal of regular pizza @ £2.99 and large pizza @ £5.00. But I must say these are the best pizza’s I have ever tasted. Regardless of the deal or no deal, the pizza’s are certainly worth trying.”

“No.27 is a really fantastic place to eat on a special occasion , i have been there on several occasions and the place is a very intimate little restaurant offering 1st class service and great food , also very good on Valentines night offering champagne and oysters (if you go for that kind of thing) , its pretty expensive on special occasions like Valentines night understandably but normally very reasonable.Highly recommended.”

“The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and nice, I ordered a basket of bread and fish soup, the soup is really tasty and has variety seafood inside. There are many restaurants in Brighton serve fish soup but most of them are pretty pricey but this one’s price is reasonable. The bread is fine, felt it is super fresh bread but it’s good enough. It is an small restaurant that run in Brighton for more then 50 years. Will definitely come back to try more different dishes next time.”
