“Came to Brighton for a day trip. Was recommended this restaurant by a family member who had been before. Nice cosy old-school vibes. It was a sunny, warm summers day, so we sat outside. There was a range of dishes, but we went for the £27 for 2 course summer set menu, as it seemed a good value for money. I ordered raw rock oysters as starter. Got 3 fresh oysters which were fresh and juicy. Came nice and cold, with the mignonette and ponzu dressing. Delicious! Another person on the table ordered salt and pepper calamari and even though portion was small, with 3 large pieces of calamari, the taste was amazing and it was so fresh. The fish and chips were crispy and fish was flaky. Though again, could do with a few more chips. Tartare sauce was great! The mussels marinieres was exceptional. The sauce was extra creamy and goes well with chips. For the price of the set menu, its great value for money! Would highly recommend! There was bread that came to the table with delicious mackerel pate. But you will need to pay for a cover charge for this. Drinks menu was extensive. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend. Women’s toilet was up some narrow stairs at the top of the building.”
“Nice cocktail bar with unisex toilets. Because it is so popular the waiting time can be quite slow. Nice decor and very stylish and the staff were nice. Also toilets nice and clean. All in all top marks. Wouldn't stay there all night due to prices though.”
“We went here for lunch after having seen some good reviews. It has a nice and light pub atmosphere, the service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Everything was great but the scallop special and the spicy king prawns were particularly good. Would definitely recommend.”
“Great old English pub, great people, atmosphere and locals/regulars. Usually pub doesn't serve food but does provide catering service.”
“This is my favourite restaurant in Worthing! The food and service are always 5*....having just returned from the Mediterranean I wanted to keep the vibe going a bit longer. The food is superb and every bit (if not more) as good as we have eaten abroad. It's a shame the restaurant isn't situated nearer Warwick Street as I feel it would always be packed with people. Every time I have been in there it has been quiet and I'm sure it's because it is slightly out of the town centre, with not many other restaurants nearby? Thoroughly recommend to everyone, it's only a short walk and worth every step!!!”
“Lovely staff and owner, great layout. Proper old boozer but not awkward like some are nowadays (as a young person!) Fireplace, dogs, good Guinness, what else could you ask for.”
“Went for our wedding anniversary, so the service was great and the food was also very good. Unfortunately, we were the only people in the conservatory, so the atmosphere was not great. However we'll worth the money and would recommend it to all.”
“Well, what can I say. Everything was perfect!! Friendly atmosphere. Great service and reasonably priced. I had the seafood platter for one. I just couldn't decide which shellfish to eat last and have the taste last a bit longer in my mouth. Everything was super fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. Will definitely come again.”
“Food was absolutely amazing, went in for my mates 50th. Instantly the lady was welcoming and friendly. Service was great, and then when our food arrived I was blown away by the flavours, it was definitely the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Everyone left feeling happy. They even brought out a dessert for the birthday boy, and topped off with a shot. Thank you we will be back”
“Best coffee and cakes in the area with Nasiba’s lovely service. I’ll definitely come and breath this positive atmosphere again soon.”
“I always find staff at B&Q Burgess Hill particularly polite and helpful, and would like to thank Henry Freddie and Tash for outstanding help yesterday, they gave a lesson in how it should be done. Well done all of you”
“We chose Jo at kitchens de la Casa to design and supply our dream kitchen in our new home and we couldnt be happier with our decision and our new kitchen! From the beginning Jo listened and helped us choose a kitchen that suited our style and home and we had complete confidence throughout. Despite us working on a large project with an estimated ready day, Jo always worked with us and communicated the entire time from workshop stage to delivery, which made the process so much easier. Our kitchen is absolutely perfect, everything we asked for. Jo ensured we used the space to its full potential being aesthetically pleasing, practical and functional. We couldn't be happier with the service, process and the final product. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Jo to anyone looking for a professional with great knowledge, fantastic customer service and a gorgeous range of quality kitchens!”
“Amazingly helpful staff who looked for a top that I lost earlier in the day, They are always really helpful and friendly and positive. I always have a chat at the till and they always engage with me and make me feel like they wanted me to be there and they’re always really complimentary about the stuff that I bought. Always a positive shopping experience. Ericka”
“Basic Wetherspoons. The building is quite ordinary and the layout is one big rectangle on the ground floor the toilets miles away as usual. Staff and locals and friendly. Good mix of tables and booths. Don’t spend too long choosing your coffee or you’ll get some tutting directed at you. Enjoy!”
“We came in for a roast on Sunday (didn't use the rooms). Even though we were a little late for our booking the staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was lovely. They even brought some beef out for our chihuahua. We'll be back!”
“Great experience! My sister had to replace her 1 year old sofa due to insects, so decided to visit dfs. Upon our visit we was met with a very warm welcome, even though we had 3 very over excited children with us! We looked around and spoke to Matt, who was more than helpful. We explained the size of her front room and looked at each sofa with his guidance. His knowledge of each item was brilliant and so helpful. After looking at a few, and my sister falling in love with one in particular, I decided to go home and measure up correctly the size of the room. Good job I did as the one she loved wouldn’t have fit! Once measuring, we went back to dfs with the kids. Yet again they met us with warm welcomes and hot chocolates! We explained the sofa would be too big so we looked at others. Once we found one, Matt went above and beyond to assist us. Answering every single question we had, and even explaining things more than twice if required! He was great with the kids, really understanding and gentle. We was in dfs for hours, and really enjoyed our visit. We was in there until after close and still felt welcome even though we had over run their day. The lady was also so lovely and ran through everything with us before the order was finalised and placed. One week to the day later and her new sofa has arrived and it fits perfectly! Every single piece of the Trekk sofa we ordered fit! We walked out of the store last week feeling like a weight was lifted, and having 3 small children, she needed to sort something fast! Their express 7 day delivery was spot on, their customer service was spot on and our experience was brilliant. Thanks so much, Sophie & Bethany! (And the 3 rugrats!)”
“The staff was really helpful and polite. Would recommend 10/10”
