βHands down the BEST pizza in Lewes! Nahβ¦ actually itβs the best pizza I think Iβve ever had. No joke! The Fuoco Blue is my weakness. Super friendly staff in a sweet, simply, hidden away location behind the station. And now they do awesome coffee too! If you like a raw and rustic atmosphere, friendly, down to earth staff and pizza that is frickin heaven with every mouthful - then def come here!β
βWe walked into the Riverside, a place with lots of shops and eating places init and we chanced upon Bubble and Bao. We went for the pork buns, chicken tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki Bao bun and what looked like Salmon sushi roll. Oooommmmgggg. So good, pork broth was tasty but could have done with a bit more depth but after seasoning up with some chilli crunch and Soy sauce and ginger it was delicious and with the kombu it was really an interesting flavour. The rest was just amazing. Sushi is prepared after you order it and I'm pretty sure the pork buns were made out of delicious Clouds. I'm so going to try and get back there for the grilled Eel and anything else I can next week.β
βAmazing food .. a real pleasure for the pallet.. I loved the Guiooza and the green curry .. the staff is so lovely and friendly I am definitely going back .. itβs mainly for takeaways so not ideal for a night out ..still there are places to sit if you want.. the extra amazing is that it comes with paper packing no plastic soooo cool!! Better for your health and the environmentβ
βSuch a lovely surprise! We were visiting Lewes and just wanting a nice cup of tea, and stumbled upon this lovely gem. The back room had a lovely tea service, including a small escape room game that can be played, great service, tasty scones. It did fill up quickly as only 4-5 tables in the back, so there could be a wait (but it is worth it!)β
βI had my birthday meal at Miller and Carter in Horsham and it was lovely. The service was amazing by Amber and went above and beyond to make sure our meal was great. The steak was amazing and the whole evening was enjoyed by all.β
βLovely food and drinks. Our waitress Flo went above and beyond, so attentive and always kept our glasses full, as well as being so lovely and friendly! She definitely made our experience even better! :)β
βI found your restaurant on Google Maps and am grateful for that. As a Persian fan of Kebab, I can say that this restaurant, Joojeh, was precisely what we have in Iran. Its taste and flavour were perfect. The service and the servers were excellent. She was so welcoming and made my experience even better. I can only say that there is room for improvement in toilets. There was no tissue paper, but the soap smelled very good.β
βFamily business, locally sourced food. Classic place, with a little garden at the back, strong coffee and flavourful. Several all day breakfast options! Big portions (hash dishes could be shared if you are not so hungry!) Itβs not in a busy area but the place can get really busy with locals, so that tells you all!β
βI had the best night at The Gingerman and now consider it one of the best dining experiences in Brighton. The food was to die for. Though not cheap (except a ridiculously good value prawn to start), it is well worth a visit on a special occasion. The staff and service and ambience created an unforgettable evening that will be difficult to replicate. To start I had snacks salmon tacos and a grilled prawn. Despite the salmon tacos being delicious, the prawn stole the show, being meaty and sweet, and for Β£3.50 with the seaweed Alioli, I cannot complain. For starters, the bbq squid was the best looking dish of the night, stunning, with perfectly cooked squid, a sauce maybe a touch too sweet, but interesting textures and bold flavours. For mains, the lamb saddle couldβve been cut with a butter knife, paired with some simple but lovely veg, a jus made from the belly and some majorly crispy 100-layer chips, and youβre on to a real winner. The puddings were also solid, and a great way to end a great meal!β
βI have been eating in and taking away delicious food from this restaurant for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always freshly cooked and portions are generous. All the salad is super fresh. The team are all really friendly and itβs obvious they enjoy working together. If it was possible to give 6 stars I would. Thank you allβ
βA unique place with a great food and drink menu and a lovely vibe! I only stopped in for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, and I had a blast. I had the healthy brunch bowl, where everything was well cooked and seasoned, and as a non-vegan, still thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldnβt have said anything was missing. The chunky avocado was a great touch too, way better than the mushy stuff. To drink I had the health elixir - or in normal terms, a honey, lemon, tumeric and ginger tea. Fresh and vibrant, it was perfectly sweet and spicy, and very delicious indeed. The vibes in the place are spot on, being friendly and welcoming like the staff, and the decor is just fabulous with all the random vintage bits and bobs around the place. They offer cakes too, but itβs the large food selection, creative and tasty, and extensive drinks options, especially teas, which makes this place stand out!β
βWe had a lovely lunch there. I got a jacket potato with coronation chicken, and a lovely salad. My husband got a panini. The service was friendly and prop mpt. The bathrooms were clean. And there is even a play area for the kiddos, inside the restaurant!β
βAmazing family run Italian restaurant!! My boyfriend and I happened to stumble across this restaurant this evening and we were extremely impressed- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food it was 5* all the way through. We were both made very comfortable upon arrival and noticed that our lovely waiter made extra effort to make note of our names and to make sure we were all okay throughout our meal, something I have not received at a bigger restaurant chain. It really did feel like we were treated like we were members of this family! As for the service, it was very quick and the presentation of the food at mamma Miaβs is PHENOMENAL! I had a beautiful sea food risotto which I will whole heartedly say was the BEST risotto Iβve ever had. From the flavourful sauce to the fresh mussels it was perfect! My boyfriend also enjoyed his chicken pizza and commented that he has never experienced a pizza like the one at mamma Miaβs. I had the panna cotta for dessert and the food just keeps on getting better, it was so creamy and the sauce tasted amazing! I highly recommend mamma miaβs if you want an authentic, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant. We will definitely be returning and I canβt wait to try the rest of the menu!! Thank you to this beautiful family for their incredible hospitality and talent :)β
βI often plan to stop here as the staff are always great and the food is amazing. I have a Cumberland sausage with onion and mushroom in a soft bap. I'm going to ride for over an hour now and go there just for that! You won't be disappointed - its an easy recommendation Only negative is I prefer HP sauce to Daddies! Still won't stop me going there thoughβ
βNice cafe cum bar in Lewes. Great food and service. I had a meat plate (full English) which was great - not cheap at Β£15, but value for money. The coffee is great and I also had a 0% Paulaner beer as it was about 10.30β
βThree of us had lunch here last Thursday. This is a local Italian restaurant that is far superior to most Italian restaurants. The food was cooked in front of us with fresh ingredients. It was far nicer than most Italian restaurants and excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.β
βAmazing food, been waiting for this place since it was first announced. We have only been doing take seats so far but always looks packed. We went for theGrill and Meze for Β£20 which came loaded and was more then enough for two. Highly recommendedβ
βA cozy cafe that I happened to stumble upon. The rhubarb crumble was amazing. The portions for the main dishes are also big which is awesome. Really nice atmosphere, as the locals eat here as well, and they were very kindβ
βI like this place very much, it just a little burguer where you can find cheap burgers and drinks, the burgers are really big and goods. I put a photo where you can see 2 double burgers + 2 drinks + Onion Rings + sauce, all of this cost just 15Β£β
βAbsolutely delicious. Gyro's are out of this world. Big portions, fresh and super tasty. Highly recommended.β
βHands down the best Bulgarian meal Iβve had outside of Bulgaria. Went to Donchevi Kitchen & Bar today with my other half for lunch. As Iβm from Bulgaria, I always wanted to share my cuisine but previous attempt have not been successful due to lack of quality original Bulgarian ingredients or chef abilities. This restaurant on the other hand tasted like home. We had kufteta, shopska salad, mousakka, parlenka and chips with Bulgarian cheese. Everything was not only authentic but also delicious. I loved it so much I had to ask for takeaway bag to take some home. I definitely recommend the restaurant to both Bulgarians and to everyone keen to try something different which they will enjoy. My partner is a bit picky with their food as they are British and tend to go with Italian food or British but they loved it too.β
βA really lovely restaurant that a friend and I visited Saturday lunchtime. We went for the set lunch menu. My friend is Slovak and really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. I am vegetarian so went for halloumi burger. We also had a large salad bowl (50% discount with a main meal). . I do think they need to increase the vegetarian choices in the set menu because that was a bit restricted. However, I wouldnβt hesitate to come back here.β
βWe were really impressed with our Sunday lunch.. both the beef and nut roast were lovely with a great selection of veg ( not overcooked as is often the case in your standard pub lunch ). Accompanied by a crispy home made Yorkshire. We brought our own wine (Β£6 corkage).. Dessert a choice of Pavalova or Blackberry /Apple crumble - generous portions. We are in the rear garden that offered sun & shade and we had a 2 piece jazz band for company. A really nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.β
βWe had a takeaway and it was delicious. Generous portion and obviously freshly made. We will be back!β
βSince my first review 2 years ago. I'm really pleased to see how this place has developed. The meals aren't huge, but just right for lunch. The homemade burgers are seasonal flavours. Their Christmas nut burger was a delightful mix of flavours and textures. The loaded fries with vegan cheese and red onion chutney was delicious.β
βAn absolute God-send of a spot! Two lovely ladies and some of the best heartwarming fry Iβve ever had. 11/10β
βExcellent fried fish one of the bestβ
βReally good! We had a lovely meal here. We were a party of five, all vegetarian. There was a big selection of vegetarian food, lots of tofu dishes, loads of vegetable dishes and rice and noodley things. They have nice soups too. The food comes out lightening fast and is super fresh and hot. You can order as much and as often as you like. Just make sure you eat it all. Recommended.β
βWe love this place. Have been back loads. Super friendly staff, authentic Italian food. Great pizza.. cant fault it.β
βA lovely cosy vintage tea rooms with an atmosphere to match the breakfast . 2 breakfast cooked just as we asked and the coffee and chai latte were just as good. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend . Cake looked lovely but will have to save that for next time as we were too full.β
