βI joined Wickwoods in May 2024 and at the time, I had just been diagnosed as diabetic and really struggled to 'enjoy' any kind of gym I had ever joined before, very quickly cancelling my membership as I found it boring. Something had to change and I won't lie, when I initially signed up to Wickwoods it was not easy given the price but what I can honestly say is that in hindsight, it was one of the best decisions I ever made and it is worth every penny. I find the variety of classes, gym and racquet sports help keep me engaged and 18 months on I'm going 5/6 times a week and loving it, it's a great place to be for my mental health and I've reversed that diabetes also. The staff are so pleasant and I've made some great new friends also. If you are thinking about joining, I wouldn't waste any time in doing so, you won't regret it.β
βI took my partner to The Flint House for her birthday and we had an amazing evening. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was incredible, and the service was exceptional. Alicia looked after us throughout the night and was brilliant β really friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wine list. Her recommendations were spot on and helped make the evening feel even more special. Highly recommend The Flint House for any occasion. Weβll definitely be returning!β
βCalled in on a whim on a rainy Monday night. Ordered my usual affair: onion bhajis, chicken tikka jalfrezi, pilau rice, peshwari nann. Really great flavours in everything and a nice kick of spice as expected. Generous portions, bring your own beer and good value for money. Service was pleasant when needed but left me to get on with it! A proper curry for those times when the posh one's at company events don't quite hit the spot. I'll definitely be returning when back in Brighton.β
βWe came here for a pre-theatre dinner on a Friday night. It was 5.30pm so quiet when we came in, but it quickly filled up so possibly a good idea to book. The service was superb and the food came extremely quickly and was delicious. The vegetables were all fresh and tasty and everything was cooked to perfection. As we still had plenty of time we ordered dessert, which was also delicious. I love Thai food and this was amongst the best I have had. I would thoroughly recommend it.β
βFrom the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The service was impeccable throughout our visitβfriendly without being overbearing, and always on hand just when you needed them. Itβs clear the team takes pride in creating a relaxed yet polished dining experience. The food lived up to every expectation. Fresh, vibrant ingredients shine in every dish, from the beautifully presented starters to the generous mains. To top it all off, dessert was a true indulgence, a perfect end to the meal.β
βFriendly staff, excellent food cooked to order. Fries were arguably the best of any takeaway Iβve ever had. Plenty of sauce and toppings in the burger. This was our first experience of Big Mouthβs having recently moved to the area. Certainly wonβt be our last.β
βOne of my favorite thai place to go locally! Thai is my go to cuisine so when i tell you i had loads of thai food, and this is really good, trust me on this! their honey roast duck is amazing, the sea food tastes so fresh!!β
βCame here as it was a 5-minute walk away from our hotel, what a gem of a pizza place to find! There was a deal on where buying an XL-size pizza gets you a Small pizza for free - took that deal up and it ended up being my lunch & dinner the following day. Portion & toppings were superb (Mighty Meaty pictured), tasted top-notch (the Homemade Garlic sauce is lovely), and the owner was such a gentleman - great service all around, would highly recommend!β
βSuch a great place with so many good vegan options! Nice owners, great and fast service. The starters came fast and hot! The mains are so tasty! The tofu is super fluffy and soaks in all the sauce and flavours. Beers for 4Β£ are a steal! We finished with the coconut sticky rice with mango. Canβt recommend this place enough. Would come back any time β₯οΈβ
βI got a takeaway from this place and it was really good. The portion was big and the food tasted fresh and full of flavor. Some places add too much oil or turmeric just to make it strong, but this one didnβt. It tasted clean, authentic, and honestly really enjoyable. Iβd order from here again for sure.β
βWhat a lovely restaurant! Very warm welcome. Good selection for vegetarians. We shared some light bites followed by sharing a Pizza Pesto. The pizza was the most delicious we have eaten in a long while. All washed down with the house red which was very acceptable. We were visitors to Lewes - this restaurant will encourage us to return!β
βI couldn't believe their specials were exactly what I wanted. Seafood starter and main both very good. A nice bottle of corked wine and good service. I just hope they kept the tip ! If I was picky about the food I'd say the tiramisu was bang average. I will be back no doubt which is the biggest compliment you can give a restaurant. Hugely impressed. I think it could do with a tad more heating. Inexpensive to boot.β
βBeen coming for years now every time i visit England and i absolutely love this place. Ashley is an amazing host. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great too. Cant wait to be back on my next trip β€οΈβ
βWe popped into Tun Tunβs on Monday for their free student curry and Iβm officially hooked. The staff were so friendly β the moment we walked in they greeted us with big smiles and asked whether weβd like veg, vegan, or meat. I went for the chicken curry, and it was still piping hot by the time we got home. Considering it was completely free, it was absolutely delicious β generous portions, loads of chicken and lentils, and packed with flavour. Exactly what I needed on a gloomy Monday evening. Iβll definitely be going back to try more, especially since they also do a Β£5 student deal. Edit: We did end up going back to try the Β£50 mega thali, and it was incredible. We also ordered two mango lassi β smooth, sweet, refreshing, and perfect alongside the spicy dishes. The fish curry was light and fragrant, and the pastries were unreal, especially the sweet coconut pathi. The chana daal was comforting, and both the aubergine pakora and onion bhaji were delicious. The chutneys that came with everything were amazing too β a perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy. Iβll definitely be returning, and next time Iβm bringing friends!β
βGreat place, the atmosphere is just beautiful, amazing food and lovely service. The bread is home made with high quality ingredients. Fresh orange juice and the deserts are simply delicious. The service and staff are lovely. When there is a place with great food and service, I will be back and definitely recommend!β
βItβs a family restaurant so itβs meant they work hard for the name and the food . I ordered chicken tikka biryani itβs was fabulous and delicious i ordered it again the next day . The restaurant was super clean and the staff was always smiling and helpful with your order . The portion is more than enough and ingredients was high grade and amazing. The wifi was very fast . I really recommend this restaurant.β
βWow, what an excellent Chinese takeaway! Very friendly staff, very reasonably priced, very efficient, the quality of food was fantastic with generous portions & remained hot by the time it arrived home. We were also given a free bottle of Coke, prawn crackers & mini spring rolls. The takeaway runs very smoothly, especially as it was Chinese New Year. We would like to thank the Golden Dragon for a great evening of food - would definitely recommend & we will definitely be ordering from here again!β
βWe stopped in for coffee and wished we had more time for breakfast. We enjoyed Turkish coffee and Turkish tea. Both were absolutely fantastic! The service was super personal, it truly gave the cafΓ© vibe. It felt more like I was surrounded by locals and not just tourists. I recommend and wish we had found it sooner.β
βHad a lovely evening last Saturday for our 60th wedding anniversary great food and music, James & Martin were the perfect hosts nothing was to much trouble they looked after us and all our guests and we all had a wonderful evening....Veronica & Alanβ
βgreat food, very friendly and polite staff, lovely outside seating area!β
βThis wonderful little bistro is to be found up a side street in Rottingdean. My wife and I dropped in for lunch. Coincidentally we both chose the same dishes, the crayfish and avocado to start with the crΓ©pΓ¨ rustic for the main, both were excellent.β
βVery nice food and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and attentive.β
βA supremely cute Mexican restaurant serves up a limited menu of tacos and other small plates. We had a Chilies Toreados and a mushroom tacos and both were packed in flavour and were delicious. Loved it!β
βNice place where you can enjoy your time sitting inside or outside. Small menu what in my opinion equals to fresh ingredients, also the pizza dough was really good, we all really liked it, however I think the best part of it was the staff friendliness. The restaurant is located in a quiet area, so if you want to go out and chill a bit alone, with family or friends, I highly recommend it.β
βAbsolutely delicious food. Had the beetroot salad, miso aubergine, cauliflower wings and vegan pavlova, they were all so good! So much taste packed into each dish. Really lovely waiting staff and we even got a happy anniversary chocolate treat. Food came promptly and they were great with my allergies. Wish I lived in Brighton so I could go all the time!β
βThe restaurant isn't very large, and initially wouldn't accommodate parties of more than four, though they later arranged seating upstairs. None of that mattered, as the food was absolutely delicious, and one of the waitresses was particularly lovely.β
βLess quirky than the others the Lewes road Inn That used to be the 'Franklin' if you've got a sweet tooth two for one desserts on a Tuesday! No photos too good mmmm!β
βOutstanding by every measure. The picture of a self-made success, from the story printed on the menu to seeing the owner come through the door with groceries - she even came to chat for a bit, an absolutely charming lady. I ordered huge fried king prawns on a bed of rice. The portion was massive, prawns were plentiful and delicious, perfect crisp and taste. Rice was sweet and mixed with prawn bits perfectly. Others at ther table ordered all sorts, noodles and rice and vegetables each, and all of them were hugely portioned, delicious, and kept us fed the whole day. I can't believe how lucky I am to have this place so close to my house.β
βWe visited this restaurant after reading glowing reviews, and it still managed to exceed our expectations! Itβs a small, cozy place with an incredible atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. We started with hummus and toasted bread, followed by roasted chicken for my husband and crab linguine for me. To top it off, we shared a bottle of wineβand everything was simply fantastic! The experience was so wonderful that we couldnβt resist taking a slice of cake to go. The total? Just Β£60βan amazing value for such a memorable meal. It was a special occasion for us, and we truly couldnβt have chosen a better place. Highly recommended!β
βThai Crystal was a total lifesaver with the kitchen open until 10pm when many other establishments had already closed kitchens at 9pm. I donβt mean to imply that itβs a last choice on the main restaurant street of Haywards Heathβitβs totally a first choice if youβre in the mood for filling Thai dishes. We loved our food. The staff was so friendly. The kitchen was quick for the amount of food we ordered. The prices are very reasonable (granted you arenβt in the middle of London). The menu is clearly marked with spicy, vegetarian, etc notations. The ambiance is nice with white tablecloths and napkins in addition to a TV looping calming landscape scenery. Thai Crystal has at least 2 other locations around London.β
