He is always prepared to go the extra mile to find solutions and make us feel valued as customers. It is because of him that we choose to return to the Kemptown branch.”

“I can’t recommend Quaff and their staff enough. We’re fortunate to live very close to Quaff, and visit it at least once a week, so we’ve got to know the team there very well. They’re always helpful, polite and have been really welcoming during the pandemic, particularly bearing in mind how busy they were when the pubs were closed. We often go in undecided as to exactly what we want to drink, and are always happy with the suggestions that are made to us. I genuinely can’t think of a wine or beer that we’ve drunk from there that we haven’t enjoyed. Thank you for everything guys, see you soon!”

“We had a really lovely experience at Carne last night. The atmosphere is great; it’s warm and cosy but with enough space between tables to give it a romantic feel. The service was brilliant and the food was amazing. We had the filet steak as well as the tartar and the prawns to start. Everything was fabulous with great flavours and the steak was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend for either a date night or a night out with friends. We loved it.”

“Thank you Hove Place for a wonderful Christmas lunch! Here goes a gushing review… Today my partner and I had booked in for Christmas Day lunch and it didn’t disappoint. We thought the £145 price per person was a bit steep (especially as there was a £6 supplement on the steak), but we’ve eaten in there before so we were confident it wouldn’t disappoint, and it didn’t! Firstly, we were greeted warmly by all of the staff, I thought they might be a little jaded after the first lunch sitting, but they were all full of energy and festive cheer. We enjoyed every single course; I loved my venison starter and the Christmas pudding dessert. We both agreed that the turkey was the best we’ve both ever eaten. Neither of us are huge turkey fans and I only eat it once a year at Christmas and generally regret it. We were served one thick slice of turkey each, in a stack with stuffing and a Yorkshire pudding, so we both anticipated to experience a mouthful of dry meat. How wrong we were; it was succulent and moist (yes I said that word). The food came out a good pace and the service from the lovely Courtney, our waitress, was great. The ambience of the pub is perfect for Christmas so we’re definitely going back again.”

“Really lovely meal - special celebration for us so we had the works. The food is fabulous quality, the service is exceptional, the drinks menu choices are vast and brilliant; including huge gin selection, wine selection and cocktails, also alcohol free choices of mocktails and more. You can taste the freshness of all the food, it really makes a difference. Our server Freddie was the perfect balance of attentive. When they heard we were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary they made a little fuss (see photo) which was so lovely and welcome. We were treated so well, literally faultless ❤️”

It has a lively sports bar vibe with plenty of screens to catch a game, and the staff are super friendly. The outdoor seating is great for relaxing with a pint. Food is solid pub fare – simple, tasty, and just right. A great spot for drinks, food, and football in Brighton!”
