“Brunch was fantastic here. Food was great as well as drinks. We opted for the bottomless drinks, but as the restaurant was extremely busy was a little slow with topping us up but understandable. Friend’s steak wasn’t great but was replaced immediately. Other than that, food was so good we returned the next day before heading back home.”

“Lovely little place with great people. They made us feel very warm and comfortable as we were with a toddler baby. The food was pretty good, but of course their hospitality is what makes the place top notch. We had ordered the English breakfast and a cheese omelette which were both wonderful.”

The food was delicious, the service was excellent considering we had a table for 7 children and a table for parent, which didn't affect the staff from being friendly and polite. “My friends and I booked through First Table, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant is on Boundary Road, quite a way from central Brighton, but the interior is worth the trip — beautifully decorated and full of character. We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who offered some great suggestions. We tried their Turkish white wine, which was spot on, then moved on to starters and mains. The highlight for me was the lamb casserole — absolutely heavenly! What really sets this place apart from other Turkish restaurants I’ve been to is the pricing. Even without the 50% First Table discount, the menu is very reasonably priced. The only downside for me is the location, as it’s quite far from where I live (Preston Park). Still, I’d happily make the journey again for their food. Dined for: 3 Meal: Starter + mains + drinks Total bill: £109”

“Best Pasta in Brighton hands down!! Mama mi truly is one of Brightons best hidden gems. Giuseppe (the main man) is incredibly kind and charismatic and clearly loves what he does! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great too, really feels like you're back in Italy. The bruschetta was the tastiest I ever had in my life (I've had a lot) and the food overall was incredible! Shame about the opening hours but I heard they will do evening service once a week in winter.”

“First time here today. Had the big English breakfast. It was faultless. Excellent quality, good portions, not oily, hot toast and hot plates. Added tea ( proper pot) and coffee and black pudding. Service was perfect, helpful, friendly. Staff super friendly and kind to everyone. The menu choice is great, from breakfasts to cooked lunches, sandwiches, baguettes, jacket Spuds, etc. Could not fault this place, people or food.”

This is most definitely one of the best Italians, if not homely places I've visited in a long time From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel at home. “This is such a hidden gem! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, the food tastes as good as it looks like on the photos and is cheap for such quality. There is an ‘boutique’ tea section I fell in love with. There are so many different items on the menu I’d like to come back and try especially Lebanese themed items! The only thing is it is a bit dark inside inside but maybe that’s just my preference.”

“I'm an ambulance driver for GOSH. Checked the night before to find a cafe for a quick coffee before picking up my patient, couldn't find anything suitable. Drove down early morning and saw this 'Burger Van' and stopped. This is actually a restaurant in a van. The young lady was so polite and friendly, I asked for a sausage sandwich and coffee. The choice between pork or Cumberland, white or brown, I've never been given that choice in any London cafe... Coffee was black, and you put your own sugar and milk in, which means I can make it to my taste.. The sandwich was great, coffee very good.. The price for both was excellent... Will definitely stop any time I'm near this place in the future.. Thank you....”

“Hands down the BEST pizza in Lewes! Nah… actually it’s the best pizza I think I’ve ever had. No joke! The Fuoco Blue is my weakness. Super friendly staff in a sweet, simply, hidden away location behind the station. And now they do awesome coffee too! If you like a raw and rustic atmosphere, friendly, down to earth staff and pizza that is frickin heaven with every mouthful - then def come here!”
