“Honestly, one of the best cafes I’ve ever been to. One of the last great traditional cafes, but with a fresh and exciting vegan menu that makes sure everyone feels included. The staff here were absolutely delightful too. Couldn’t recommend enough. Super affordable too! Very small inside and outside though so if it’s peak times you might struggle for a table.”

“This place is truly truly fantastic. Don’t listen to the naysayers, the negative ninnies. The food is wonderful, the staff are gorgeously wonderful and the atmosphere top notch. In a way, this wonderful place is a bit of time capsule, but it’s one of the reasons why this place is so wonderful. Amongst the many overpriced, hyper-gentrified and over modern places that we are forced to dine in, this place stands out for something true, wonderful, fun, nostalgic and just brilliant. “Had a good experience here. The place is cosy and the family running the place are really nice and accommodating, immediately offering a smile when we went in. We tried their Big English Breakfast, which was really good! Food presentation was lovely and really looked appetising! Also you can have it with toast, in our case we just had it regular meaning no toast but in the end we were still so full and satisfied. It’s just the coffee it was 2 shots but the cup was a bit to big and made it a bit weak, or maybe too much milk was added to our latte. So I suggest requesting to have another extra shot to your coffee! But in general recommend this place 100%. Well done!”

“We had a wonderful dinner yesterday at The Salt Room. The restaurant was full of atmosphere, yet we were comfortably seated at a large table. The service was excellent – the waiters were friendly, attentive, and clearly very professional. On their advice, we ordered the monkfish to share, served with mussels and moqueca sauce. It was simply gorgeous – beautifully cooked and full of flavour. To finish, we had the lemon tart and truffles, both of which were outstanding. A truly memorable dining experience. “Came for dinner on Sat night. I've been coming here for years, and have always loved it. Dinner on Sat was perfect, Catherine our waiter was on point, attentive and charming. The bar guys kept our glasses full and gave great recommendations. Every dish was seasoned and balanced, the kitchen nailed it! Cant wait to come back. Thanks again.”

“A lovely quaint pub next to the river. A pleasant atmosphere, really friendly and welcoming team of staff, and the Sunday Roast - I had the minted lamb - was delicious. A generous portion, with plenty of veg and just the right amount of gravy. I say at a small table outside, and the sun shone down on us. I enjoyed my visit here and trust you shall too. 5 stars for the food and the service. A high 4 for the atmosphere. Overall, easily 5 stars.”

“I visited the Pelham arms as part of a large group for a Sunday Roast. The service and food were excellent. There was a choice of four meats and two vegetarian options. They were serving a lunch menu, too. The gluten free roast was exceptional. The staff are always really helpful. Can’t rate this place enough. Thank you, Pelham Arms.”

“A great little Bar-Restaurant located not far from the River Adur. It has a decent variety of local beers, ales, and gins. There was a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating for its size. With outdoor seating, it leaves you in a great atmosphere, especially when the sun is shining and the nice cool breeze from the river hits you. The food I had was very tasty and freshly cooked. There's a good mixture of choices of options on the menu depending on your preferences. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The number of toilet facilities was fairly limited for both male and females. Overall, everything was fairly priced. I had a pleasant experience on this visit, so I would definitely like to visit again.”

“We visited this restaurant after reading glowing reviews, and it still managed to exceed our expectations! It’s a small, cozy place with an incredible atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. We started with hummus and toasted bread, followed by roasted chicken for my husband and crab linguine for me. To top it off, we shared a bottle of wine—and everything was simply fantastic! The experience was so wonderful that we couldn’t resist taking a slice of cake to go. The total? Just £60—an amazing value for such a memorable meal. It was a special occasion for us, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. Highly recommended!”

“I walked in a (sort of) sleet storm from Worthing with the incentive of a coffee at the perch lancing and it didn’t disappoint! Lovely welcome, delicious coffee (& the best cheeky bacon bap - I’d walked 2.5 miles so I decided I deserved it!) great views. Just a shame a couple arrived and had a phone conversation on speaker next to me, but that’s not the perch’s fault! My first visit. The best incentive to do a 5 miler a couple times a week!”

“We was a group of four on a Saturday lunchtime, we managed to get the last big table. Was a lovely vibe we all had a big breakfast and lots of goodies to help with a hangover. The food was fantastic and wasn't a long wait, everyone was really friendly and the price was reasonable.”

“A Hidden Gem in Brighton – A Must Visit! We stumbled across Busby and Wilds by chance while looking for somewhere dog-friendly with good food — and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Emily, which instantly made us feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly made fresh with care. Every bite was spot on. It’s rare to find a place that nails the balance of great atmosphere, amazing food, and genuine hospitality. This is now my go-to spot whenever I’m in Brighton. “Popped into Bistro Kemptown on an early Tuesday evening, so it was quiet. Warmly greeted and shown to a table. Ordered the Beef Bourguignon which came with creamy mashed potato. It was absolutely delicious and so rich in flavours. Service was quick but I was the only customer at the time. A really nice restaurant in Kemptown and highly recommend.”

“What a lovely meal. All 3 courses were great. Thought the portions were spot on, just the right amount. Great classic flavours with some little twists. The effort put in for gravy, for Sunday's roast is awesome! (Started on a Tuesday) Definitely booking for that in the near future.”

“We had a delicious brunch time snack at the cafe du jardin. The entrance way is unassuming but don't let that fool you, this rustic restaurant serves delicious bites and thirst quenching drinks in a relaxed and informal French cafe style both outdoor and indoor tables and believe me this place gets busy. Our server, Albie was an absolute gem, he worked hard to ensure no one was waiting, very attentive and capable. As you can see from my photos the food is excellent. However I wished I had ordered one of the tasting plates as they look fantastic.”

“The sandwiches are the best. They are always filled well, and the combinations are delicious. They are made to order with fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the difference!
