“Come across this gem whilst working down here and trust me I'm so glad I did, The food was so tasty and succulent. I was asked to try this pizza the chef cooks for the staff , it's bread with a sweet peanut buttery topping, sorry for not remembering the name but it was delicious. We will definatly be going back here. No other takeaway comes close. Thanks guys for that very tasty meal. The kofta was absolutely mouth watering. Well done you certainly know your stuff. “Have just returned from enjoying the tastiest breakfast here! We were looking for somewhere do friendly for myself, my parents and my brother and his partner to meet and catch up but we were hoping to bring our 10 month old German Shepherd pup too. They couldn't have been more chilled and accommodating if they tried. Firstly, the staff were so lovely and friendly, super chilled with Bella, bringing her a bowl of water when we arrived and so kind when she wasn't totally aware how much space her puppy butt was taking up. The food was amazing, the smoothies tasted great and when we ordered a sausage for the pup, it was provided in a cute lil cup of her own and helped keep laying down and learning to be calm in public places. I ordered the chorizo eggs (Photo) and I would wholeheartedly recommend. We will absolutely be returning in the near future!”

“Popped in on my morning walk and was greeted by a giant smile from the gentleman behind the bar. The breakfast I got was the number 2, amazingly well cooked, super hot and quick. Great value for money and a lovely spot! Wish I’d found it sooner.”

“What a pleasant surprised. Trying to find a table for 5 at midday for a spontanous roast is a tricky find when you call up most places and theyre fully booked until 5:30pm that evening - we were so lucky that wasn't the case with La Piazza and I imagine its because no one would think that this resturant would do such a great roast! Hoenestly - the portion size inceedible, the beef thin, the pork belly wasn't too crisp that we couldn't bite into the top, so yummy and the chicken was also really really good! All five of us were really happy with our choice. Would defintely go again and recommend to others. Really lovely variation of veggies too.”

We were served by a wonderful young person called Liv A (the A is important because there are two Livs but I'm sure the other Liv is very lovely too) Our Liv is a delightful human being with very nice hair and a very friendly and personable manner. I have allergies and she was very helpful in navigating the menu. As always the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!”

“We enjoyed a first class Christmas menu and service, eighteen of us on a Tuesday lunchtime. The food was varied, we loved the choices of antipasti and the mains were good and plentiful. It is always nice to be offered a dessert that is something different and the Zuccotto was just that, and a large portion. We will be back along with those in our group who couldn't make it yesterday. The service was attentive but not too hurried and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. Thank you Al Duomo for a wonderful experience!”

“Outstanding Restaurant I had the pleasure of dining here on a Friday evening. The first thing I was so impressed with the menu great choices for vegetarian and meat consumers alike. I started with scalops which I shared with my girlfriend and the portion was ample for two. Then I had pork belly. My girlfriend had the beef. Every mouthful of food was absolutely superb. The staff are friendly helpful and proactive. Even the drinks were first class. I cannot wait to return. Not overpriced too”

“Lured in by the fantastic cakes in the window! Had a sandwich which came on thick bloomer bread with plenty of filling, a salad and crisps. Great value for money. Quirky decor, nice atmosphere and a friendly welcome. It’s a great place to eat in Rottingdean and exceptional value. Will be back.”

“It hasn't got a Michelin star but what a lovely place. Overlooked by the majority and wrongly so. We'll worth a visit for the occasional fried breakfast, of which there is a great choice and good value. I went with my son and we were warmly welcomed so don't be put off if you think it's only for truckers. The coffee was good and I love coffee. Just like the figure that stands by the door - I'll be back.”

“Café can get quite busy but good choice on the menu including a popular breakfast menu. Service was good, food freshly cooked and pleasant outlook over the sea from an elevated raised area next to the car park. Outside seating and ladies and gents toilets.”

“Really great breakfast, had the 2 egg option with sides and some of those homemade potatoes (which were gorgeous). The beans had a lovely cajun, smokey taste and the eggs were poached perfectly. Plus Sourdough! Sitting outside on the picnic bench was a perfect way to start the day and watch as Brighton rouses itself. Booking recommended (especially for breakfast). Staff were all courteous and professional. No complaints!”

“What a beautiful cafe and bar, to view all the wonderful cats (my favourite was Fifi so stoic and statue-like). The staff were friendly and made sure we knew all about the kitties and gave us treats to give to them. We had some cocktails which were very nice and some focaccia which was warm and crispy (yum). Would recommend if you love cats and observing their funny behaviour, very chill!”

“What an excellent pub! I only stumbled upon it after a hike. Brilliant selection of craft beers on draft and a couple of cask ales. Very nice beer garden below the chalk cliff. Very enjoyable chat with the friendly owner Dominic. I’ll be back!”

“I think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harvey's Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.”

“Brilliant Restaurant! We went there Christmas Eve and again on Thursday night last, great atmosphere, clean, light and service was fantastic and welcoming. Food was absolutely lovely, good prices, value for money and excellently cooked and presented. My new place to go. Recommended.”
