“What a fantastic little country pub. Food is absolutely delicious (particularly the roast tatties...!) Staff are very welcoming and friendly, Chris the landlord is a charmer such a nice chap, makes the pub feel like a home. Out of all the pubs in Alfriston, The Six Bells is by far the best and least pretentious. Proper English pub overlooking the church serving great food, beers, wines and spirits. “Had some amazing food at Casalingo. The garlic bread was so delicious. 4 of us had the seafood linguine which was superb. The others had lasagne, gnocchi and gluten free pasta steak and zucchini pasta.They gave my Dad a lovely birthday tiramisu which was a lovely touch. It was a quiet night which was surprising for a Friday. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.”

Had the Sunday roast (beef of course) and was not disappointed - it was fabulous! Bella took our order and a young lass with blonde hair served us (Jenni? I think, sorry didn’t get her name). “Reservation online was super easy. We had a lovely lunch with amazing food. Our fish was fresh and dessert very indulgent. We've sampled most of the menu recently with various visits. Staff are welcoming and friendly, service is always great. Good range of drinks available, and simple but delicious menu. Proper pub grub! The inerior is tastefully decorated, a lovely garden and a hugely popular teepee for rainy days at the rear. We'll visit again soon.”
