Although the menu was two course (mains & dessert), there were nibbles also on the table and bread. Quantities of both courses excellent as well as quality. We had beautiful roast beef, perfectly cooked with huge Yorkshire pudding, jus and a gratin on the side. Not cheap, but what is, thoroughly enjoyed”

“We were lucky enough to eat as guests in the Over Wallop restaurant at Glyndebourne last week, during a performance of the Magic Flute (sublime singing and music!), and thought the food the best we have ever had there. We had the Sussex asparagus starter, followed by the Cumbrian lamb (cooked to perfection and the depth of flavour in the jus was simply superb), with the coffee mousse to finish. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and we could not find a single fault. Well done to Steve Groves and his brilliant team. As always the service was immaculate and it is a wonder to behold how so many meals are delivered (like clockwork) mid-performance in such a short window. Thank you so much to all concerned for helping to make such a special evening.”
