βIncredible. Ordered on the phone and drove down from Uckfield, order ready when I arrived. Food was fresh, high quality and unique to other burger joints. Price fair for the quality provided. Will absolutely be back to try the other burgers.β
βWhat a lovely restaurant! Very warm welcome. Good selection for vegetarians. We shared some light bites followed by sharing a Pizza Pesto. The pizza was the most delicious we have eaten in a long while. All washed down with the house red which was very acceptable. We were visitors to Lewes - this restaurant will encourage us to return!β
βWe ordered the chicken platter for 2.it had more than enough meat for two people. We thoroughly enjoyed it as it was all cooked to perfection and was so juicy. I loved the red cabbage salad that came with it, however they've stopped doing the pomegranate dressing which is a shame! The cous cous is very tasty as well. The restaurant has a good vibe and staff are really helpful. They serve Efes beer as well.β
βLess quirky than the others the Lewes road Inn That used to be the 'Franklin' if you've got a sweet tooth two for one desserts on a Tuesday! No photos too good mmmm!β
βOne of the reasons that I love Lewes is this pub. A hidden gem. A CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular and Cask Marque pub. A few years ago we hiked over fron Eastbourne and my sore feet were soothed by a few pints here. ( oddly, there was a Morris Dancer festival going on, hard on feet and hard on ears!) Casta and Madge were enticed by the pizza menu (10Β£ - 15Β£). I however had a Gales brewery ( Fullers) 3.6% Seafarer. A super locals pub. No TV's.β
βAmazing and authentic Caribbean food cooked by the best chefs EVER. Great portion size and really tasty! I had the veggie tropical bake. Definitely recommend !!!β
βA true gem of a market. Small, but I picked up the most divine chilli oil & glorious gluten free & vegan deserts which were so delicious! Highly recommend this market.β
βWhat an excellent pub! I only stumbled upon it after a hike. Brilliant selection of craft beers on draft and a couple of cask ales. Very nice beer garden below the chalk cliff. Very enjoyable chat with the friendly owner Dominic. Iβll be back!β
βWe celebrated our son and future daughter in-laws engagement here. The staff were brilliant and treated them to a glass of bubbles and cute congratulations motif on their desserts. It was great to have an exclusive little room to ourselves and we felt unhurried and relaxed. Thank youβ
βChose Shanaz after reading Google reviews - we were not disappointed. Waiting staff were very friendly and helpful (without being overbearing as can sometimes be the case in Indian restaurants!). The food was excellent and nicely presented. Plenty for vegetarians. We particularly liked that it was possible to choose the spice level (and they got it just right). Prices reasonable.β
βGreat Pitts-Stop for some well earned lunch.β
βLovely kofte and shiesh combo. Pipping hot, tasty and a decent salad. Perfect after a late shift.β
βWe had an absolutely brilliant meal here. The service was incredibly helpful and attentive with all aspects of the menu. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 rice and 1 naan and left very satisfied and full. All was cooked very well and the flavours were delicious. There was a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, all labelled on the menu, and the staff were very helpful with any questions we had about the cooking of the dishes. Couldn't recommend more for a lovely meal!β
βVery helpful whilst we picked up our Christmas order today.β
βWe had our sons first birthday at the kings head on a busy Saturday 1pm for 20 people and a few kids, they were so accommodating and went out their way to make the party perfect. All staff were super helpful and welcoming and Ollie was great. Really recommend this cosy pub for a party or just for drinks.β
βBest fish and chips for miles. Beware though, the portions are huge. Little high on the price. 4 large fish, 3 portions of chips and 1 Savoy =Β£54 but you do get served a lot.β
βGood qualit Great takeaways and conveniemt for picnicks.β
βWhat's not to like, it's amazinggggβ
βNot the best pizza Iβve tried, but for this speed and cost itβs good, sometimes they make really great taste, but sometimes unfortunately add to much oilβ
βMainly a takeaway, but they kindly & happily arranged the table for us to eat in. Service was quick, food delicious, very good value & service couldn't have been better! It's obviously very popular with locals & rightly so imo. Would definitely go again.β
βReally good food. Have been using these guys once or twice a month for 6months now and yet to have a cold delivery or any complaints about the food. Delivers to Glynde which is a major plus! Duck spring rolls are amazing as is the beef in black bean. Just about to call again for a takeaway!!β
βVery lovely organic cafΓ© and shop with coffee/tea/juice, homemade pastries and a well chosen selection of organic and sugarfree products. Relaxed place, high quality food and the friendliest owner. Lovvve it!!!β
βThis was the first time ordering for here, my mother said its a lovely meal to have, and must admit I am very pleasantly surprised, the food arrived hot, tasted fresh and full of flavour, delivery person very polite and cheerful, I dont normally eat a full meal but managed to eat most of it as it was delicious. Definitely value for money, have recommended them to my friends and family already.β
βArchipelagos Gyros in Brighton offers a reliably tasty option for lovers of Greek street food. The menu has solid variety β traditional pork and chicken gyros, halloumi, vegan versions, burgers, sides, and salads β all at very reasonable prices. The portions are generous, especially in the βmain boxβ combos, which give you meat (or plant-based protein), chips or salad, pita bread, and sauce. Itβs filling without feeling gimmicky. The service is fast and friendly, and even when busy things donβt feel chaotic. Ambience is casual, good for takeaway or a quick sit-down; itβs not fine dining, but thatβs precisely the point. What you get is authentic flavour, hearty meals, and decent value. Highly recommended for a satisfying, no-fuss Greek feast.β
βThis is my favourite restaurant in town. I especially love the generously filled bahn mi, the Laos minced pork dish, the Northern Thai specials (make sure you check the little board behind the server), the pork broths and the green papaya salad. We're so lucky to have this on our doorstepβ
βFabulous independent roastery/caf where you can get a far superior coffee fix than any of the mainstream high street places. Nice industrial space and atmosphere. Didn't try any food so I can't speak on that front, but most importantly, my espresso was excellent. Will stock up on beans next time I pass by.β
βMy favourite cafe, fully recommend!!! Food is very tasty and the menu is exciting. The staff are all absolutely lovely, especially Tyler who is so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I come here when I am working from home in the area, I usually stay here for the day and have breakfast, lunch and coffees. There is good wifi and free parking outside. Canβt fault it and Iβm looking forward to my next visit!β
βFabulous independent Coffee shop. Fabulous coffee and breakfast Excellent service. Highly recommended.β
βI often plan to stop here as the staff are always great and the food is amazing. I have a Cumberland sausage with onion and mushroom in a soft bap. I'm going to ride for over an hour now and go there just for that! You won't be disappointed - its an easy recommendation Only negative is I prefer HP sauce to Daddies! Still won't stop me going there thoughβ
βExcellent food, drinks and service. Really nice ambience. Highly recommended.β
