“Brilliant Italian food! A lovely restaurant, friendly staff and a great choice on the menu! Went here for my birthday and it was the best lunch. The lasagne was delicious and the fudge cake. I’d definitely recommend! It’s in a lovely part of Brighton.”

“Really liked this place. Came here on a Wednesday evening with booking a table beforehand. I would suggest you'd do the same as it was full for a Wednesday (always a good sign). We ordered drinks, two small plates and two large plates and it came out of the kitchen really quickly (we were eating main meal in the next 20-25 minutes). After that we decided to have a dessert and with that it took one whole hour to order, get the desserts, finish and pay. So the service was a bit slow in the end but nothing to complain about as they were really nice and friendly. I loved the food, fairly priced and loved the fresh ingredients. One thing that bothered me was the lamb's lettuce on everything. Could be at least flavored, or maybe not there at all? I loved the atmosphere of the place, pretty decor, nice music...somebody really thought this through. Overall a great experience and would definitely visit again.”

“This place is the absolute best! The food is really yummy definitely my favourite place to eat in or takeaway. i love the concept of choosing what i want in my pasta bowl. I recommend ordering the Italian Mini Pizza's as a side. Decent prices and the staff and the owner are so nice and knows how to deliver good customer service.”

“Had a great time at bottomless brunch with amazing service from Gray! Plenty of options catering for vegetarian and vegans too and you can change up the drinks and choose beer, prosecco or cocktail. It is excellent value with the variety. It's also a nice relaxed atmosphere with music that isn't so loud that you can't have a conversation. Would really recommend.”

“Service was fast and food delicious. Got 3 small tapas plates which was perfect for my appetite. I particularly loved the veggie quesadillas. Also got a free soft drink with it (tapas Tuesday). The veggie options are great and diverse. The ambience in the evening is great although the music a bit loud. Great for a meal with a friend!”

“absolutely zero complaints, first time i had been and received delicious food and will be going again! there is a huge range of food and drinks, plenty to choose from. ordered online and had the *cheese and 2 onion rings* and added plenty of toppings. really really recommend it, if was absolutely delicious and the food was ready before the time I had selected to pick up, so it was a very smooth experience. the cheesy chips where just as delicious along with the milkshake!”

“My fiance surprised me with a trip here for my birthday, and everything was perfect! The food was amazing - he had the chicken teriyaki ramen and I had the Unagi Don rice bowl and both were delicious. Definitely the best sushi and ramen around here, we'll be going back again as soon as we can. Thank you again for a great lunch!”

“My partner and I took a chance and entered this venue which was surprisingly quiet. The menu had brunch items which were appealing. We chose our table, the decor was really cool, servers were exceptionally friendly and when the food came out, it was excellent. Reasonably priced and great quality. Served with a smile. “Thank you Hove Place for a wonderful Christmas lunch! Here goes a gushing review… Today my partner and I had booked in for Christmas Day lunch and it didn’t disappoint. We thought the £145 price per person was a bit steep (especially as there was a £6 supplement on the steak), but we’ve eaten in there before so we were confident it wouldn’t disappoint, and it didn’t! Firstly, we were greeted warmly by all of the staff, I thought they might be a little jaded after the first lunch sitting, but they were all full of energy and festive cheer. We enjoyed every single course; I loved my venison starter and the Christmas pudding dessert. We both agreed that the turkey was the best we’ve both ever eaten. Neither of us are huge turkey fans and I only eat it once a year at Christmas and generally regret it. We were served one thick slice of turkey each, in a stack with stuffing and a Yorkshire pudding, so we both anticipated to experience a mouthful of dry meat. How wrong we were; it was succulent and moist (yes I said that word). The food came out a good pace and the service from the lovely Courtney, our waitress, was great. The ambience of the pub is perfect for Christmas so we’re definitely going back again.”

“This place is a Hove staple, it’s beautiful inside, with amazing chandeliers and a beautiful bar. They run a consistently great Jazz night and the bar is always full of good mix of ages and people. I had Thai food here a long time ago, it is a good standard of pub Thai and very reasonable”

“Atmosphere was a bit quiet as there was a huge storm outside so it was less busy than usual. It's normally lively and enjoyable though. Food was exceptionally good, as it always is here. Great value, especially with the annual members card. Fantastic variety, catering for veggies and vegans too, yay! Would love a bit more vegan protein that isn't fake meat, but hey, I'm not complaining, just gently suggesting! Staff are always friendly, capable, available and competent. All in all a reliably fantastic restaurant with great prices, wonderful food, super service and a friendly vibe. Highly recommended!”

Chicken kabab is usually juicy and well-seasoned, while lamb kabab is rich and tender. Chicken tikka is smoky, flavorful, and consistently a standout dish. “Stopped by The Sportsman Stonehouse and had the Meat Feast Calzone...it was spot on. Loads of flavour, plenty of filling, and the dough was cooked just right. The price felt fair for the quality, the place was clean, and there is lots of parking spaces.The staff were really friendly (Louise and Taran) and welcoming, which made it a nice visit. I’d happily come back again.”

“My sister and I made a pilgrimage here from the U.S., as our 3rd great grandparents ran the pub about 200 years ago. We happened in on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the Sunday roast along with l excellent service. Everything was delicious and top notch. On learning of our presence, the manager came and welcomed us. Thanks for everything, Seven Stars!”

“I would recommend the Empire Grill to anyone. The food is always delivered hot and the staff are really friendly. Their home made chicken fillet burger is the best I've had. I order from them fairly often and I have never had a problem with them.”

“I luckily found this place by pure chance and it was top notch food. Very generous portions and the wide variety of vegetables in the Dansak. Only let down was I like medium spicy like Jalfrezi and they were very mild. But very impressed not oily at all. I will definitely be ordering again.”
