“Colonna & Small's – what a beauty. I ordered myself an iced oat milk latte and it was just the thing for the summer heat. The plain croissant and the chocolate one were both buttery, fresh and absolutely delicious. The vibe is minimalist and it’s definitely a must-visit. I only wish I had more time to sit and work from this lovely café, enjoying their excellent speciality coffee.”

“What a great old worldly pub. A few small rooms all with wood panelling and glass partitions. Old type fireplaces. Wooden floors throughout. Tap beers and real ales available. It's really like going back in time, brilliant. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Old type bench seats. Beer was good. Great visit.”

“One of the most charming pubs in Bath. Their signature pies are top notch every single time, but so are their sausages and all the other wonderful things they pile onto your plate! Their gravy flavours compliment the pies ans sausages so well. They also sale local ales and ciders. Staff are friendly and talkative. Unfortunately you can't book but this place is so worth the visit because the food and atmosphere are fantastic!”

“I'm shocked that I've not reviewed the ring of bells. After moving fairly locally, we were recommended to try their food. From the first visit we were made to feel like family, and have been regulars ever since. The food is outstanding: a surprising mix of traditional British and Asian. The menu regularly is changing and never short of something interesting and delicious. We have two young kids who are usually relatively well behaved when eating out, but definitely have their moments. The team always make us feel welcome and know how to engage little ones. We love finishing a satisfying meal with a couple of games of skittles. I don't think there are many places. I'd rather be on a chilly winter's night than near the blazing fire at the ring of bells. Or a summer's afternoon outside with a cold drink watching village life go by.”

“What a brilliant cocktail bar. Hidden away underground alongside the streets of Bath, this place is simply outstanding in terms of atmosphere and feel. The drinks also fit with this quality, and are brilliant. The service was also amazing, and a special shout out to Fergus who was brilliant to us the whole night. “Well worth a good detour to get here. We had a mojito, a bramble and a bakewell from their cocktail list. No scrimping on the rum, a very good free pured measure and all the extra garnishs and show with it, it was busy but that is to be expected with a propper cocktail making, it isnt quick and is well worth it.”

“What a wonderful place for little ones to have fun! Today was our first session at the play hub and we loved it! I have a two year old, but it’s suitable for younger babies and toddlers alike. Such a lovely, open and safe space for little ones to play freely with lots of different sensory bits and pieces as well as a little sandpit, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself! Hot drinks are served in spill proof flasks, which is perfect keeping the little ones safe and there’s a great menu for little ones, with lots of options to choose from for a lovely little lunch! Also a lovely selection for the adults too! I will definitely return for another play session in the future!”

“If you ever wanted to explore bath and have a great room and an incredible breakfast, this is your place. We walked to town, which is about a mile away, although you can get a cab if you want. There's so much to explore the Roman baths and a real life Roman bath set up called "THERMAE" for you to have all the amenities that the Romans would've enjoyed.”

“We took my parents to the Elder for a very belated Christmas present and it was a fantastic evening in so many ways: some of the best food we’ve ever had combined with very attentive but relaxed service with a smile. “Excellent burgers - they look like the picture of a burger you want but never get!! We ate the cheese gourmet burger and double spicy chicken burger, as well as a special prego steak burger. It's a piece of thin cut sirloin steak and grilled in such an incredibly tasty end result, served with cheese and ham - I am avoiding carbs so didn't have the bun, and was not disappointed - great choice for a low carb takeaway if you're after a treat. The chips are like chip shop chips but crispier, I'm told really good, it was all I could do not to try them myself! I would recommend phoning ahead, they were super busy Saturday night. The website has a few kinks to be worked out and they know about this, and I let them know about them and they responded quickly and are working hard to get them fixed. Great staff responses and really good service. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had for ages, well done guys, we'll be back.”

“Lovely little pub in a sleepy village on the outskirts of Bath. My partner and I stayed for one night and it felt really homely and comfortable. We recently had the immense pleasure of celebrating our wedding at The Crown at Kelston, and we can genuinely say it was the most perfect day imaginable, largely thanks to the incredible team there. From our very first contact, we dealt with Neve, who was absolutely brilliant. Neve made the planning process seamless and stress-free. In the lead-up to the wedding, everything ran so smoothly that we genuinely didn't have to think about a single thing on the day itself – a true gift for any couple! Neve even coordinated directly with our florist, two musicians, the stretch tent company, and our cake supplier on the morning of the wedding, ensuring all suppliers were perfectly in sync without us lifting a finger. Whatever our request, big or small, nothing was ever an issue for Neve and the team. They were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. On the day of the wedding, the staff worked effortlessly from start to finish. Their attentiveness, efficiency, and friendly demeanour were remarkable, ensuring all our guests were well looked after and the celebration flowed beautifully. And we must mention, the food was absolutely amazing – a real highlight that all our guests raved about! The atmosphere was exactly what we dreamed of, and every detail was handled with precision and care. We cannot recommend The Crown highly enough for any event, especially a wedding. If you're looking for a venue where you can relax and truly enjoy your special day, knowing everything is in expert hands, look no further! “We had two cappuccino and one lemon cake here. Coffee was really good however lemon cake was old and taste like fridge. Hope you understand what I meant. It tasted like they’ve put it into the fridge without covering it with anything.”
