“Passing through and saw this little place. Popped in for a bacon butty and a wee and it’s made me genuinely sad that I don’t live around the corner so I could visit every week. Staff (Sharon and Darcy) were so friendly even though we aren’t local. They had regulars (known by name) and clearly look after them making everyone feel special. Spending time chatting with an older gentleman. It’s opposite the park and botanical gardens, I walked the dog before popping in. Really wished I lived closer to be able to come back get bits for a picnic and stroll in the parks. Dog friendly too! Bacon butty - banging Takeaway brownie not yet eaten but smells divine. Service warm and friendly And the best bit, evening guest chefs and wine! Anyone have the number of an estate agent?”

“Fab stay - rooms beautifully decorated and clean. Locations right in the middle of town and easy to find. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was great value and loved the little details like the pillow spray in the room. Would definitely stay again.”

“Stayed at Mr Darcy's House for my hen do and we all had an amazing time. The house was perfect for a hen do and we loved used the basement bunk room space for the evenings. The house was clean and nicely decorated and I would highly recommend it. Minnie was so helpful over email and there were nice special touches on our arrival which made it feel really special!”

“Amazing location for walking. The friendliest of welcomes. Very nice setup with guest area for making drinks and also a nice place to sit and enjoy the views, and on this occasion the new lambs. Everything you could need. The room was beautifully decorated. Dinner was by far the best quality of the whole trip. Hearty portion too. Immaculately clean rooms. I think possibly the best GF treat I’ve ever had! It is quite pricey but worth it - picked up a rewards card while we were there as I know we’ll be back! And, if you’re interested, a huge Diddly Squat section!”

The design process felt collaborative and we were able to create a genuinely bespoke plan that delivered exactly what we were looking for. The creation of 3D visuals allowed us to assess the various materials and finishes, as well as sense checking the overall design. “Lucky us to find such a lovely antique shop rather than the usual junk-type antiques so common these days. Beau Nash is special - high quality antiques and lovely Cynthia who is very knowledgeable and kind enough to let us take the George III mirror we bought home to London to try. If we didn't think it fitted, a colleague (who visits London regularly) could come and collect. Needless to say, it is perfect - well worth the wait and travelling 200 miles! We will definitely come to Beau Nash again.”

“Colonna & Small's – what a beauty. I ordered myself an iced oat milk latte and it was just the thing for the summer heat. The plain croissant and the chocolate one were both buttery, fresh and absolutely delicious. The vibe is minimalist and it’s definitely a must-visit. I only wish I had more time to sit and work from this lovely café, enjoying their excellent speciality coffee.”

“We had a fantastic weekend stay at Windylands B&B this summer! Everything was perfect-the environment was so peaceful and comfortable, and our room was incredibly clean, making us feel right at home. A huge thank you to the host, Richard, for preparing everything for us and for his wonderfully warm welcome and care. He made us feel like we'd known him forever! The delicious breakfast each morning was also a highlight (truly the best hotel breakfast l've ever had), ensuring we felt completely pampered and at ease.”

From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed by the sweetest barista, a lovely lady with soft grey hair and a genuinely kind demeanor. Her warmth and attentiveness made us feel so comfortable, even as rain poured down outside. She took the time to chat with us, making sure our orders were perfect and adding that special personal touch that makes all the difference in a café experience. My mum decided on an English tea and an almond croissant, which she absolutely loved! The tea was perfectly steeped, served hot, and had that classic flavor she enjoys so much, complementing the almond croissant beautifully. The croissant was exceptional—flaky on the outside, soft and moist on the inside, with just the right amount of almond filling. The flavors were rich yet balanced, not overly sweet, making each bite truly delightful. It was clear that quality ingredients and craftsmanship went into creating this pastry. As for me, I chose a chocolate milkshake and a chocolate muffin, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The milkshake was smooth, creamy, and wonderfully "milky," with a classic chocolate flavor that wasn’t overly sugary. It felt indulgent without being heavy, making it a refreshing yet satisfying treat. The chocolate muffin was just as delightful, moist and rich with a generous amount of chocolate. Both the muffin and milkshake hit the spot and made for a deliciously indulgent pairing. The café itself is small but incredibly charming, decorated with thoughtful touches that create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Despite the rain, which meant we couldn't enjoy the outdoor seating, the indoor setting was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing with a warm drink and good company. The outdoor seating area looked lovely, though, and I can only imagine how wonderful it would be in the warmer months to sit outside, enjoying the ambiance and perhaps some sunshine. All in all, The Little Coffee Shop is a delightful spot that we’d highly recommend. With delicious food, comforting drinks, a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, and genuinely friendly service, it's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great café experience. We’ll definitely be coming back for more.”

“This was one of the best veggie hamburgers I’ve had in a long time. I don’t remember exactly what I ordered, but I had the burger with the meatless bacon and it was quite delightful. The fries could use a bit more salt, the strawberry shake was delicious, and the service was excellent.”

Matthew was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was able to provide the material needed for finishing our Bathroom. Thank you for that! We will be going back there to choose some of their porcelain tiles for our patio. Great selection and good prices . I would thoroughly recommend.”
