“Well cooked full breakfast. Bacon, poached eggs, nice and soft, baked beans, mushrooms well cooked and had pepper added. Hashbrown was tasty. Toast was nice as well, on white bread. Came with a premium sausage which was nice however they had run out on my other visit and had the standard sausage which I wasn't do keen on. Would give it a 4 star with these sausages. Tea was very nice with a pot of Devon tea which filled 2 cups. Would I go back - yes”

“Excellent Thai food in Blagdon. Visiting from Sydney Australia, where we have an abundance of superb Thai food, and this was on par. Really tasty fresh vegetables with a fabulous range of meat. Great value for money and well worth a visit. Many thanks.”

“First visit here but not the last. It's small but cosy, nice and clean and the food was lovely. Staff are really friendly...what else do you want. You have to use the car park which is a couple of mins walk. Toilet a bit tight for a wheelchair and could do with a refurb but will forgive this as it's nice and clean. The takeaway cake is nice as well. Overall it is the best cafe we have been to so far in lydney”

“Nice Cafe and the ladies working there are friendly. Great selection of food from full breakfasts, sandwiches to jacket potato and burger and chips. Closes at 2pm and last food order is at 1.45pm if they have anything left... Seating area outside too if its sunny.”

“A great village pub under a recent management change. Great menu and the roast dinners are spectacular. Plenty of parking available. It's a very short diversion off of the A38, if you're driving past.”

“Wow, The best breakfast I ate so far (in GB) THE Eggs where soft with a really nice texture. Tomatoes had a nice flavor to it. Beans where on point. Nicely grilled sausage. The hog s pudding was extremely delicious! We also had the blueberry Pancakes. Best pancakes in my whole life. Not to forget the coffee. Nice flavour, tried the normal and house brand. Really recommend the flat white. Best one I ve had so far! 5 of 5 Stars Fast, delicious, good price!! Thanks”

“We generally stop at this little cafe when we do our local food shopping in North Street. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is pretty prompt. There's inside & outside seating and you can usually find a table. The coffee is reliably good. We sometimes have brunch/lunch and have always enjoyed eating here. The menu changes periodically and whilst there's no 'traditional' breakfast, the choices are always interesting. Food is freshly prepared, hot & tasty and usually has lots of fresh herbs. Sausage rolls are good too!”

“Proper pub. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the pub does some really good food. Between 5-7 it's buy one get one free on certain dishes which means it's even more affordable to pop out for some nice grub. The pub has a big garden too and welcomed dogs which is great. I'll definitely be going back.”

“My little girl is old enough to help me now, but I’ll never fail to be impressed with how the JL cafe staff take care of new mums with babes who need assistance, the elderly etc. Watching the staff today reminded me of the same great service I received five years ago ❤️ Love the My JL rewards card for the occasional free hot drink and am rather fond of this blackberry and mascarpone cake. It’s an easy choice to visit when at Cribbs.”

“Absolute gem of a pub in lovely quiet setting with big carpark and ample secure garden area. The food is always divine whether sampling the lunchtime menu or main menu. The staff are wonderful, very kind and patient with the dog as well as friendly and attentive. Lovely pub.”

“Our local. Great atmosphere, friendly welcome and service, a taste of Belgium in Bristol. Eight draft Belgian beers on (1-2 changing), three UK cask ales, wide range of Belgian bottled beer. Annual Belgian beer festival and other tasting events. Cosy in Winter, front terrace and rear courtyard garden in Summer. Roasts often sell out. Food rating only given four as we rarely eat there (or in pubs generally), but the Mussels and curry we've tried have been very good.”

“We've been to La Passione a few times now. This is the first time to go whilst under new management and name change to Amici. They honoured our La Passione gift vouchers. The food was very tasty. The pizza was cooked better than the times we went when the place was called La Passione. The service was more attentive. Only thing negative is that it took a long time for food to come.”
