“Just arrived home following a 2 night stay at the Bath House which is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The service (breakfast being served in our room!), comfort, hospitality and facilities, to name but a few things, are second to none. The attention to detail was exceptional and Kelly and John were wonderful hosts. I had mentioned in passing when booking that the trip was to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday and when we were shown to our room we were amazed to see the mirrors in our room had been decorated with birthday balloons and a banner. That's service 'going beyond the extra mile'! I cannot praise them enough and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to all! Thank you for a wonderful stay”
“Lovely site, all staff so friendly and facilities top quality. Shower rooms so clean and warm. Looking forward to our next visit”
“I’m not actually a student at the University of Bath (not yet anyway!), but I first came here for sports competitions a while ago. That was my introduction to the city and the uni, and I always remembered it as being somewhere really special. Recently I came back to Bath, just to visit the city again, and as I was wandering around, I stumbled across the university once more. And wow. It honestly stopped me in my tracks how amazing it is. The whole place has such an inspiring energy. The campus is beautifully laid out, everything feels so open, welcoming, and full of life. I loved how green and spacious it is—you can tell it’s been designed with students in mind, but it doesn’t feel clinical or closed off at all. It’s got this perfect balance of being modern and impressive, while still feeling friendly and approachable. You can almost picture yourself studying, relaxing, training, and just living here all at once. I loved the atmosphere most of all. There’s something about Bath as a city already—it’s gorgeous, full of history, and has such a warm character. But then you add the university, and it’s like the city’s energy has its own dedicated hub for learning, sports, and community. You can tell the students here must have such a unique experience: surrounded by world-class facilities, yet only a short trip from one of the prettiest cities in the UK. For me, walking through the campus again completely cemented the thought I’d had before: this is somewhere I would love to be a part of in the future. Even though I’m not studying here yet, I could 100% imagine myself applying, getting involved in everything, and thriving in this environment. It’s one of those places that just feels right—you know immediately that it’s special. So yes, five stars without a doubt. The University of Bath left me inspired, excited, and definitely planning to put it down as a top choice when the time comes for applications.”
“Absolutely superb from startbto finish. Met by the gentleman doorman...reception staff were brilliant. Stunning room and incredible facilities. Loved the smooth radio station on in the room to arrive to. Great bar staff, excellent service, just wish we had the time to have had our evening meal there. Perfect location. Historic and so well maintained. The breakfast was second to none. Highly Highly recommend it.”
“A beautiful spot to tour and relax in Bath. The entrance is an easy bus ride or an uphill walk. Staff and volunteers are friendly and informative. I went at opening time and had the place mostly to myself for a bit and it never became crowded. The walk around the park is nice and worth doing, but not a must-do. My favorite part was sitting in on the reclining chairs reading and enjoying the view and the birds.”
“I attended a free hands-on science exhibition with my 4 and 6 year old at the weekend, and it was brilliant. It kept us all entertained for a few hours on an Autumn afternoon. It was very well organised with 3 rooms full of science stations, each one offering an experiment, craft activity or demonstration, and all the volunteers were great, very knowledgable, enthusiastic and engaging with the children. What a great event- thank you!”
“Excellent service helpful with my DHL package and very friendly people, Five stars from me i’ll definitely be back again.”
“Great fun. Very friendly staff.”
“Beautiful Grade 1 building and fantastic place to live.”
“Fantastic door to door service. Very helpful and professional driver. We will definitely use BIT again.”
“Myself & a friend went on the Cotswold tour on March 31st. Richard was our guide & he was excellent, with some great stories. We got to see lovely small towns such as Castle Combe and Bourton-on-the-Water which would have been difficult to reach otherwise without a car. Given the width & winding nature of some of the roads we travelled, I was very glad that someone else was doing the driving! Maddy's recorded pieces were really enlightening. As a keen Tolkien reader, I was interested to see the two trees either side of the church door in Stow - definitely reminiscent of the doors to Moria. Having just a small group certainly made a difference - and was much more manageable.”
“Well, what a restaurant. I would implore you to visit. The food is fabulous. More importantly the service is wonderful. We came for lunch and spent nearly 2 hours talking to the owners and staff ans more importantly tasting lovely food. At £35 for 3 courses, an absolute steal.”
“Great service here. Very old school place customer service is the key.”
“Room is very cozy and comfortable! A house is super lovely and peaceful. Me and my mum love it here. Scone is also very delicious. Caron is a very nice host and helpful. The location is near Castle Combe and Lacock Abbey, so it’s very convenient!”
“We stayed here for one night as we were travelling down south for a wedding. Communication with Pauline was fabulous and the room was absolutely lovely with everything we needed and there was also a kitchen area and a lounge area where you could get tea and coffee. Bed was very comfy and room was very cool which was needed as it was very hot outside. Pauline was very welcoming and helpful and the perfect pit stop for us. We would definitely recommend.”
“Homewood hosted our wedding in August this year (2025) and I couldn’t praise them enough. Lucie, our events manager, was incredible and supported us so much throughout all the planning. The weekend of the wedding, the team were incredible, nothing was too much to ask and they really looked after us and all our guests. It really was the perfect venue for us and we cannot wait to go back each year for our anniversary. Thank you so much Homewood team, you really helped make our wedding day perfect! “Beautiful National Trust site. Excellent walks with stunning views. Dyrham Park house is just stunning with beautiful gardens, church, and ponds. You have video history, tea rooms, and a mobility bus for the elderly and disabled. Really helpful, informative staff. We would highly recommend.”
“We had a wonderful 2 night stay at your hotel. Hotel was great, staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Location was great. Bus stop at the bottom of the drive which every bus went into city centre. Thank you to all the staff.”
“Love mazes. Kids enjoyed it too, we seem to manage to stay on the left side whenever we do it so it doesn't take us as long to complete but it's still good fun and a bit of competition between family is always fun.”
“Cosy local pub with very friendly staff. We enjoyed the food, and can highly recommend the fish and chips. Everything felt home made. Recommended”
“Indian Temptation is known for miles around for their Masala Dosa and excellent veggie curries but this time we went for the newly introduced Christmas Thali and very fine it is too - beautiful to look at and great to eat with lots of varied dishes and tastes. Recommended”
“We had a lovely time on the boat tour. The tour guides were friendly and very informative. Lovely relaxing way to spend an hour in Bath”
“Location is secluded and private yet central. Perfect accommodations for sightseeing and relaxation. The location is quiet away from the very loud buskers but just around the corner from the top spa of the area, the cathedral and the Roman Baths. Apartment 5 was newly renovated, very clean, with plentiful soft towels, comfortable beds, blackout shades and a large assortment of cowshed bath products. Lovely modern bathroom with in floor heating, freestanding bathtub and glass enclosed shower. Felt like a touch of luxury for a surprisingly low rate per night. Only negative would be 1MB internet not strong enough for video or audio calls. But who comes to Bath to sit inside of the internet? We appreciated having guest laundry facilities available in the courtyard. Top notch hospitality and communication from all the staff. We will stay here again.”
“Lovely venue in the heart of the uni. We attended an IChemE water conference there. Tricky to park nearby to load and unload expo kit.”
“Perfect in every way. Arrived late on our bikes and we were treated to a lovely meal, I haven’t experienced such warm hospitality in a long time. Room was lovely and you can really see the attention to detail and effort Rose and Colin put in. Left after a delicious breakfast, would recommend Blue Lodge Farm to anyone wanting to stay in the area!”
“I went into Sobeys in bath for the first time today and it was such a pleasant experience! the staff are so friendly & the clothes are great with a wide range of different styles! They have great vintage carhartt jackets and Levi jeans! If you love vintage clothing this store is for you!”
“We first went to the restaurant here and loved the food and atmosphere so much that we came back to get married here! The grounds are amazing and the food is worth more than its 2 AA rosettes. The staff are impeccable and trained to the highest standard. The hotel and rooms are extremely luxurious - we felt like royalty. I'd live here if I could!”
