“I’m really surprised at the negative reviews about staff. I visited with my girlfriends on Saturday and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. If you want individual pieces at fair prices this is the place to try. We’d trawled round all the well known stores seeing exactly the same items time and time again and it was refreshing to find stylish clothes. I’m already looking forward to a return trip.”

What makes this store so special is the sheer variety they offer—literally everything from basic salt to camphor, along with South Indian, North Indian, African, and festival-specific items. As someone who cooks a lot of traditional dishes at home, I was amazed at the range of products. For South Indian cooking, Eden stocks all the staples—different varieties of rice, lentils, curry leaves, tamarind, spice mixes, and even instant dosa and idli packets. For North Indian cooking, I found basmati rice, all-purpose flour, semolina, and spice blends like garam masala, chaat masala, and more. It feels like a one-stop shop where you don’t need to compromise on authenticity. What really stood out to me was their selection of festival and cultural essentials. Camphor, incense sticks, decorative items, sweets, and other ritual products are available year-round, but especially during festive seasons like Diwali, Onam, or Eid, the shop is stocked with everything you need to celebrate properly. This makes Eden more than just a grocery store—it’s a cultural hub that brings people together. I was also impressed to see African staples available, which speaks volumes about how Eden caters to Bristol’s diverse community. Yes, it takes a bit longer for food to get served, but there’s only one lovely gentleman working the entire restaurant, and the food was totally worth the wait. I ordered the lasagne set for £7.95 (served with garlic bread and salad), which is a good deal imo. Judging from how piping hot the lasagne was, it’s freshly baked, which I appreciate. It had well balanced flavours and a lovely creamy texture. If I lived in the area, this certainly would be my go-to affordable comfort food. My partner got the Chicken Feast pizza which was just as good. Can’t recommend this place enough. Bonus points for its overall cleanliness and comfortable spacious seating. Would definitely visit again next time I’m in town!”

“Husband picks up food for us here regularly and they are always friendly and try to work as quick as they can to get orders out. Very reasonable pricing and the food is always good. Recently changed up the menu and the gourmet burger has become a new favorite.”

“Night 4 walking Cotswold way, immediately on arrival the young Polish lady behind the bar asked how she could help, she agreed to let me pay by card for everything after i finished eating & drinking later on in the evening, then showing me to my clean & airy room, with well equipped tea & coffee, she left me to have a lovely shower before going down to the bar for a excellent dinner, the next mornings breakfast was of the same standard!”

“We've only been in the area a year, umm yeah, it is a year, and we tried a few different Chinese takeaways, coming from Bath, we had two that really stood out for us and we chose according to what we wanted. But the ones we tried in this area before Oriental Sunrise were.....bland. But then we tried this one, which actually has lamb on the menu which was promising! Considering my default was always Beef n Blackbean becaise i almost never saw lamb available, I was stoked. Lamb is kind of a regional thing in Chima, and most takeaway menus are influenced by where the owners come from. We're still experimenting with the menu, but this is definitely the best of the Chinese takeaways in the Radstock/Midsomer area. As for delivery, they are always fast, so if we order chips, they've barely sweated in the bag. I do definitely recommend this one if you like flavour with your Chinese food.”

“Hidden gem, I love the chips because they're hand-cut and fresh every time. The cabbage is the best in all of the salad. Chicken never overcooked, or oily. Staff are friendly and welcoming”

“Local bar, with a large selection of ciders and gins, also has several tv screens and a large screen to show sports. Nice atmosphere to have a chat with mates. Watch out for rugby days as it does get very busy, on the upside they do sell 3 pound Guinness and ciders during home games”

“I came in to pret today just to grab a coffee and some food after a very...very long week. I don't usually treat myself to nice fresh coffee but why not?. The coffee was delicious i opted for a iced latte which very much complemented the warm day. Although the sun made me smile it was the manager working who made my day just the little bit more special. I believe her name was Chloe and she was an absolute delight. She took the time just to ask me how my day was and if i had any plans and was super lovely to me. I was feeling a little hungry so i wanted to get a pastry. I asked her what her favorite was to which she replied the blueberry muffin and i have to say chloe....YOU WERE SPOT ON!!!. It was really amazing to have been served but such a lovely young lady. She clearly puts a lot of love into that shop and pret are lucky to have someone as polite and talented as her. Cant say the same for most places but i definitely think im going to come back to this place more often. Thank you for your service Chloe and have a fantastic weekend”

“Super happy with my experience here today. I ordered a pumpkin spice frappe with a modification. At first the drink came out a bit too sweet compared to what it normally taste like. I asked sheepishly for the girls to remake it and they did without fuss. The remake was completely perfect! My husband also tried a new drink, the ice oat brown sugar espresso and it was divine. Thanks so much for taking the time to make sure our drinks were spot on! £11.75 is a lot for two beverages so it's nice to know they are happy to make it perfectly.”

After sitting down, she brought our coffee and food quickly with a warm smile, wished us a good day and checked if we needed anything else. Coffee is great. Atmosphere is busy but buzzy.
