“We’ve tried loads of curry houses in Cardiff for takeaway and never been blown away, lastnight we decided to try Mint and wow!!! We are extremely picky when it comes to Indian food but this was amazing. The curries were so tasty, we will be using this as our takeaway moving forward! Sooo good!”

“I guess that’s why they call it the (Bombay) Blue(s?)! The menu here is a joy to peruse - written with style and panache, it’s clear the author has a bit of personality! We always have a smile on our faces reading the descriptions. In the current climate of clinical and corporate menus it’s refreshing to read one that brightens up the often tedious ordering process. After analysing the menu we came to a matching consensus - we weren’t in the mood for messing around with poppadoms. We were going straight for the jugular. I opted for a Chicken Tikka Garlic Chilli Masala. Rice & Chips. Peshwari Naan. Cobra. The curry was flavourful although I expected a tad more spice. Nothing to write home about, but a very nice, solid ruby. I’ve had Madras and Vindaloos here in the past and they were right on the money. A game changing feature to highlight at this curry house is the option to order a portion of rice AND chips half and half. This totally eliminates the awkwardness of having to share portions with the rest of the table. More curry houses should implement this innovative idea, so kudos to the pioneers at Bombay Blue(s?)! The peshwari naan was delicate and moreish. Hats off to whoever was manning the tandoor! The cobra was ice cold. My fellow comrades went for the Jalfrezi, Murgh-E-Bahar and Korai. All polished off with zero complaints. This establishment isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel - which is a good thing. It offers consistency, value for money and good service - which is why we frequent it on a semi regular basis! I’ll conclude with a question for the ages - is it Bombay Blue or Bombay Blues? Either way, we’ll return to discover the answer!”

“Visited King Balti on Saturday (7th September) and was really impressed. The staff were really friendly and were really good with our children. The food came out very quickly after ordering and it was really delicious. The meat was a high standard with very few grisly/fatty bits and the curries were very tasty (keema rezala especially... yum!). I think we have found our new local curry house :-)”

“Delicious Kebab & Pizza House is bang on! The grub’s spot-on every time – kebabs are juicy, pizzas are proper tasty, and the portions don’t mess about. “Today I had a very bad start to the day. I had devastating news and was really upset. I went into boots just from being in tears and I needed a little touch up of my make up. I can only wear a certain brand of make up due to skin sensitivities and a young lady who works on the esstee lauder table was very understanding and helped me feel and look that little bit better. “Haven't been here for a while, was in the area so popped in for dim sum. Under New management I think. Lucky we were early as it was busy and queuing by the time we left. Service was quick and efficient, Dim sum was pretty good, best I've had in Cardiff for some time. Bill was £30. Enjoyed it and will be back again.”

Restaurant and Takeaways for delivery and collection. Accessibility - reasonable staff usually around to open the doors. Disabled loo downstairs and toilets upstairs. Veggie v Carnivore - I'm a veggie and had a good choice. My cousin the carnivore loved her chicken. We are both a wuss (coward) for really spicy food, everything clearly chilli marked for pungency! I did not spot anything marked Vegan, but I'm sure if you asked they'd point out the Vegan options. A note on the menu to inform them re allergens. Toilets - disabled downstairs and main upstairs. I was not able to look into the disabled to check it out as it was locked.”

“We were a table of 4 for Sunday lunch. We arrived early and were nicely invited to have a drink at the bar while we waited. When we were taken to the table by the host Chris, he introduced our sever as Mitch who was really personable and positive. It is unusual to have professional and enthusiastic service at restaurants nowadays, so Mitch was a refreshing change! The chefs serving the carvery were great as well, the food of exceptionally high quality with vegetables not being stewed or cooked to death, but actually fresh and inviting. If you like a carvery, this is superb and at less than £20 per head is great value.”
