“Went to this Practise for the first time today, as I am one of those People who really does not like going to the Dentist, today was so much different, they put you at ease as soon as you arrive. Great experience, lovely Freindly Staff. Would throughly recomend”
“I was a patient in the war as.a young child.because I had contacted scarlet fever.Because of my young years my memory is somewhat clouded but I remember nurses taking my crayons to boost the fire and the presence of soldiers.”
“The staff are so welcoming and lovely. I always feel comfortable as they consistently ensure the environment is hospitable and comforting. I continually feel happy after leaving the pharmacy and this encourages me to come in again. Great pharmacy and my favourite for years!”
“Dr Alkihili has been so empathetic, kind and compassionate with my three sons who have autism. A truly professional and wonderful doctor who has worked so hard on our case.”
“I am a very scared patient but always feel so relaxed and looked after when I attend my appointments. The receptionist is always smiling with a really friendly aura about her x the dentist and the nurses are always happy and very caring and friendly. I would recommend this surgery to anyone x”
“I have been with Richard and Vale Vets for the last 10 years and I have had nothing but a great service throughout those years. More recently this past December my dog Lexi who is now 13 years old went in for a general check of health, but Richard discovered a mass growing in her stomach. It was not looking good for Lexi as she was an older dog. We didn't know how she was going to react to surgery, we didn't know whether or not she would survive the anesthetic and we did know how much of the mass had integrated into the rest of her body. We made the decision to go ahead with the surgery to give Lexi the best chance of surviving. Richard and his team went above and beyond to care for Lexi and I could never have asked for a greater group of people to care for her. Somehow Richard managed to remove a two kilogram mass from Lexi, Lexi only being 18 kilogram to start with. The surgery was successful and Lexi had come out of the anesthetic. We went in to the surgery to meet with Richard and to see Lexi for the first time, we were given all of the options where it was a 50/50 chance whether or not Lexi would survive the night and we made the decision that we would care for her at home regardless of the outcome, which we had the full support of Richard and his team and again I echo that they were amazing and went above and beyond their job and they there responsibilities. Richard didn't have to do this but he kept in touch with me. He was about to go on holiday with his family, but he kept in touch with me all the way through the night to make sure that Lexi was still going strong. Lexi made it through the night. Lexi was back at the surgery the next day to have a check up, watching her walk back into the building was one of the proudest things I've seen that old dog do. She was greeted with affection from everybody and by this time everybody had heard the story of Lexi and everyone was truly amazed that she had pulled through what was a horrific surgery. We are now three months on and Lexi is doing better than ever. She is running around with our kids, still thinking she is still a puppy. Lexi would not be here if it wasn't for Richard and the team at Barry Vale Vets. We could never thank you all enough.”
“We have been through 2 cycles with the team at Cardiff and I have to say Ive found the staff incredibly helpful, compassionate and put you at ease throughout the process. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to start their journey!”
“Parking spaces for disabled people could be nearer to the A&E entrance. There are two machines only you need a WiFi card or mobile phone to be able to purchase a coffee or a snack. They do come around every couple of hours with tea or coffee and then toast/sandwiches for free while you are waiting. The staff are very friendly, helpful and understanding of the discomfort of many patients. Whilst there's a wait of many hours depending on your health issues, we can say that we were seen in a methodical and timely manner, and we were very grateful at the outcome.”
“My mother was takes by ambulance to A&E on 17 September after a fall at the care home. She remained at the Royal Glamorgan hospital and was transferred to the palliative care unit a week later and passed away the following day from advanced dementia. The care and compassion my mother and my sister and I received from all the doctors and nurses in hospital and the palliative care unit was exemplary. Everyone was so kind. A special mention to Kelly in A&E. She did a little dance at the foot of my mum’s bed, it was the last time I saw my mum smile. Dementia is such a cruel disease, I hope a cure is found one day.”
“So tough working in the NHS. Barry minor injuries unit was so good. Kind staff and exceptional receptionist who went out of her way to help the many people who came in.”
“Recently spent a week on ward B6 after being rushed in. Was under the care of urology, ent and the mental health team and the care I got was excellent. Everyone on the ward from the nurses down to the cleaners and catering staff were always happy and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for the ward team I suffer with anxiety so having to stay in terrified me but they did everything they could to make my stay stress free. I was allowed to leave the ward multiple times a day to get out for some air and peace for the good of my mental health and thete are some nice peaceful spots in the grounds you can relax in away from all the hustle and bustle like the lake. After last visiting the hospital is much quieter and more relaxing. And a special mention for the catering staff. I didn't feel like eating the first few days but they would bring sandwiches so I could have them later. The main meals were very good though with a good choice and whoever makes the crumbles and custard deserves a reward!”
“Work brought me here with a child in our care. Service was second to none from being in A&E to admission. Very thorough with several tests and observations From Consultants to Catering you all did a fantastic job Well done all Ps even included free parking”
“Lots of negative comments on here! Yes, this is a busy pharmacy, all day, everyday because they serve a large community. Every time I use the pharmacy I have always been treated with respect and served as promptly as possible. They’re only human for goodness sake! Have a little patience for people in an underfunded, busy and demanding environment!”
“My daughter has been seriously ill, only just registered with this surgery and they have been absolutely amazing. Gone out of their way from house calls, instant prescriptions and advice. The receptionists have been pleasant and spoken to four different doctors so far, all of whom have been empathetic. 5***** so far x”
