From the waiting room to the dental surgery, the staff were friendly, welcoming and kind. Dr Adrian was brilliant with my nervous teenager. “I’ve been in weekly for the last 8 weeks with my 3 cats with various issues. I’ve stopped going to Valley since their treatment of staff who went on strike & I’m happy with the care I’ve received from Andrea & her team. Whilst the location & nature of the business (owned by big 6) doesn’t lend itself to the same care/service as an independent, I’ve been very satisfied with the treatment received. The staff have been really patient with my and my anxious communications (I appreciate the WhatsApp service) about my terminally ill little cat. They’ve spent time helping me determine the right course of action for my girl & I’ve never felt pushed into anything, nor made to feel silly for the questions I’ve asked or choice I’ve made. Both dental treatments my cats had recently came in comfortably under the quote. And the practice is always happy to provide written prescriptions so I can find flea treatment at a price that suits my budget. I do hate the location though - both on the industrial site and the mezzanine above the store. It’s loud, doesn’t feel very secure and isn’t great when you’re going through something difficult. I’m dreading when the time comes for me to say goodbye to my girl and how exposed it’ll feel upstairs and walking through the store with my tears & grief. But what can be done? There’s not a great deal of choices in practices really. And no independent ones locally. So I’m happy with a Vet-led franchise with an owner who seems to care about her practice & the animals she sees.”

“This veterinary practice is brilliant! I have been 100% happy and trust them implicitly to care for my dogs. Today was no exception. I am currently fostering a mixed breed dog, Spotty, from Romanian (Amicili dog rescued). She is naturally a very nervous and anxious little girl. I have had her since 19/11/23 and while she has made a lot of progress, she remains naturally very fearful of unfamiliar people, barking and backing away from them. Spotty needed to be weighed for her flea and worming treatment, and a check over by the vet. I also took my spaniel Nia as company. Spotty didn't hesitate, as I had anticipated, going into the practice and I attribute this to the calm atmosphere of the surgery made by all the staff. I cannot thank the vet Mirac and veterinary nurse Tracey enough for their quiet, caring patience and the time they took to gain Spottys confidence. They were amazing, not just with Spotty but also Nia (whose mission was to snaffle any stray treats!). Mirac was able to examine Spotty. I was overwhelmed as I had anticipated Spottys resistance and the whole experience being stressful for her. I don't know how long Spotty will be with me before she finds her forever home, but if she needs to visit the veterinary practice again, I hope she will remember today's positive experience. “Cannot stress how incredible the staff have all been during our recent trips. My 9 week old kitten recently became very ill and, as first time pet owners, we were really unsure and scared. The staff have been so kind, helpful and accommodating. At no point have i ever been made to feel stupid or like a bad owner for not knowing things, nor have they been condescending in any way. Theyve always explained things theyre doing and their thinking of what could be wrong. Its been a bit challenging as we havent been able to diagnose what the illness is, but i in no way blame the service for that, unfortunately sometimes it is that way. But thanks to the vets and nurses doing a great job supporting us and out kitten shes improving day by day! I phone the clinic each day to give an update on how our kitten is doing and every time they always seem so delighted to hear how shes progressing. Due to our kitten being so young her insurance isnt active yet, meaning all of this we were paying out of pocket. The staff have been incredible with this too. Theyve made sure everything they do has been within the means of what we can afford whilst still trying to solve the problem, theyve made us aware of all the options we have such as finance plans etc. and even then, i think the prices have been incredible. I was expecting to pay a LOT, and realistically weve spent less than a fraction of what i was told by friends to expect. The prices are great. All in all, id definitely recommend this vet and im so glad we chose this clinic! Bit of a long review but i really feel these staff deserve all the praise they can receive, im aware theyre “just doing their jobs” but i really feel like theyve gone above and beyond in regards to making us feel comfortable and supported :)”

“How do I thank these human angels, like they all are. Anything I say just does not reflect upon that gratitude I feel in my heart for them all. I sat here contemplating how I feel but, please, just imagine if you did not do what you do as well as you do it, if there were no banter. How miserable I would be by the time you would carefully put me to bed. How much longer would it take for me to heal. How much depression would I have to endure. I love you all very much, you shut my windows and blinds in the middle of the night when I am cold, you sit me on the toilet when I need to go, you wash and dress me, feed me and medicate me, you make sure I have urine bottles to last all night, and you bring me my food to my bedside. You make sure I have a sterile, clean environment to live in. Yes, you are paid to do that but nowhere near what you deserve. Yet you are such lovely people who smiles whenever you open the doors of the hospital. How on earth do you always seem so happy, imagine how the ambience in the ward would be affected if you were not. You may or may not be religious, it does not matter either way because it is pretty clear to see that you are like mythical angels who seem to want to care for people you do not even know or have any connection to. Strangers. Who pass in the night but temporarily need your help and expertise. All individuals with the same goal. To have a listening ear and to care. Like the gentle giant, Lewis, who was always willing to help me. Lisa, lovely Lisa, the OT, with a face full of adventure that was always smiling and, therefore, motivating me just by looking at her. When I hesitantly moved from a bay to a single cubicle, she assured me that I would like it better. She was, of course, right. Kerry, such an interesting and likeable man that regularly brought me the peddle machine to work out on and wake me in the mornings to teach me how to wash, Louise, who got me a haircut, gave me a manicure and took me to the ward Christmas Carol Service. All three were major factors in my recovery. The physiotherapists, the people that literally taught me how to get out of bed, stand, walk and flex my arm and hand to pick up a tennis ball. Meg, Jordan, the lovely tattooed Elephant girl (such a very professional and lovely girl who loved her granddad) Charlotte , oh how wonderful she was. She set everything up for me to come home, but most importantly, she listened to me and talked words full of wisdom to me, told it as it was, so to speak. Such an asset to the ward. The student whose name, sadly, I forget. She was always smiling and talking to me, willing to learn, so helpful, showed me how to shower and will make an excellent professional. And the tall, dark haired young man, whose name I forget again. He came to see me on the morning I left to wish me well. A really nice young man. All miracle makers who help to build and heal damaged Neuroplasticity paths and encouraged new pathways. A miracle is an event that happens without explanation, reason or cause. It is well known that it happens but it is unexplained as to why or how it happens. It just happens, a miracle. Physiotherapists help the brain to make new neurological pathways by repetitions.
