“I was struggling to find a dress suitable for a river cruise later this year so thought I’d call in. I’ve made copious online purchases only to return them all. I was made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble with the wonderful sales assistant suggesting alternative options. The changing room meant I could take my mum in and she had a comfortable space and seat to offer a second opinion too. The dress I decided on was in the sale, in fact it was a real bargain which then meant I could add extra accessories on too, of which they have many (sandals, shoes, bags, jewellery, fascinators, all sorts), all are lovely in their own right. They have lots of lovely dresses, skirts, shrugs, boleros etc even sparkly jeans, so many lovely things. Many items are reasonably priced, given quality and detail, and I was also informed that there is usually a sale rail. If you have a wedding, party, occasion or just want to find something lovely to add to your wardrobe I really would urge you to give them a try. Thank you so much for all your help today xx”

“New owners have much improved the shop frontage and are trying new business lines - evri drop and collection is very helpful in the village. The butchers meat is excellent and can always get a good emergency high quality present from here. Excellent place to pick up ice creams after school. In my opinion there is less need for hot soup / daily baked goods and focus on staples needed locally (higher quality breads on a regular basis, fresh vegetables and stocking oat milk) - edited: they have oat and alternative milks and fresh veg now, fantastic to see feedback taken onboard, thanks!”

“I've had the seafood linguine, and the lasagne, which were both excellent. I strongly recommend trying the ice cream after seafood - the vanilla and pistachio one. The pistachio ice cream actually tasted like pistachio, which has never actually happened to me before! The lasagne is lovely and rich, perfect with a glass of red, and the tender stem broccoli salad I ordered. The pine nuts with it were also really nice! The service was exceptional from the staff, as usual. Both the food and service are always consistently good!”

“Lovely shop, lovely lady Moria very helpful just wanted 1 skirt but bought all 3 as already had Black knitted skirt but when I saw purple reduced and navy just had to have them all. Great fit but Moria was so helpful and took time to show me all that I also purchased black one for my friend. Moira is a credit to your company.”

“Very helpful and highly recommended if you want a non pushy experience. We have been doing our utility room and kitchen over a period of several years (yes, shush my wife is patient!) and I was going to be doing pretty much all the work. As a consequence of this, we had our own overall design, ideas and goals but what I wanted was something a bit different than picking bits from B&Q etc. but equally didn't want to engage with a company who only wanted to fit everything and charge labour. Equally, I was interesting in finding a company who were prepared to validate our ideas and based upon their experience, give advice in areas which we might not have fully considered and offer suggestions where they have encountered similar problems in the past. After all, this is their day job, it's not mine! We got all of this through working with David and Andrew and were delighted with the constructive help and our end result. At no time was there a hint of sales pushing, which only adds to the other reviews which echo the same. David and Andrew have plenty of experience about what works and what doesn't and if you spend the time and take on board the information that they can provide as part of your build, you'll get a result to be proud of. So, If you want to have a relaxed discussion pop in and chat with David and Andrew, just try to avoid Saturday mornings as they're understandably at their most busy.”

“Always such a lovely experience in M&S. Today we treated ourselves to the breakfast deal for £6. We had flat white coffe and then most amazing bacon breakfast roll. Bacon was the best we have had and the ciabatta rolls were perfect. Thank you.”

“I've been using this excellent store ever since I moved to Belper two decades ago. All Pavers shoes are superb value, and just about all of them very well made and long lasting. Excellent service too. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else now, and feel very fortunate to have such a great facility on my doorstep.”

“Who doesn't love a pair of Converse? While this ain't the biggest store on the planet it does pack a lot in and while it might not have brand new designs in it does have a lot of stuff I've not really seen elsewhere. Staff are absolutely spot on and the prices are fantastic on some of the shoes. (20 quid for a pair of Converse - I'll have that). Be careful with the sizes on the boxes though, look for the UK size - it's written a little smaller under the other sizes.”

Trevor is an absolute asset to you, he tells me all the deals and is so nice and helpful. “Went to heron yesterday at Allenton. loved the fact that they challenged a shop lifter instead of just letting the man get away with it, the staff showed courage as he was a big guy, but the littlest of woman challenged him, well done to all the staff, brilliant team work.”

“Co-op Food on Whitemoor Lane in Belper is such a handy local store! It’s always well-stocked with all the essentials, from fresh produce to daily groceries. The convenience of its location makes it perfect for quick stops, and the opening hours are great for anyone with a busy schedule. The staff are always polite, helpful, and make you feel welcome, which adds to the overall experience. I’ve noticed the store places a strong emphasis on sustainability and ethical sourcing, which is a big plus. They also have a good selection of locally sourced products, which is fantastic to see. “I have been to One Stop many many times. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of items; fruit, veg, magazines, lottery, confectionery, drinks, paypoint, my Hermes, cupboard food (pasta, sauces, cereals). Parking is very easy 3 hours free (posted pics of the restrictions). Opening hours great 6am ~ 11pm everyday. They do cashback up to £50. Cashpoint just outside (24hrs access everyday). Would recommend and continue to use.”
