“Visited on Easter Sunday for a birthday celebration. Only found out about the place online the day before. How have we not been here before? This is a little gem of a restaurant. Although fairly small, and quiet when we arrived late afternoon, the restaurant had a nice feel from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent all the way through even as it got busier, and all our questions about the menu were answered by the manager who obviously took great pride in the restaurant. The food was excellent as we shared 5 tapas between 2 of us, which was more than enough, although we were tempted by dessert. The selection of wines was good, and the Spanish beers were interesting and varied. Overall an excellent meal, and good value when taking into account drinks as well. We’ll be back.”

“We use Love Curry at least twice in a month & have done for the past 5 years. But this weekend they were exceptional!! We asked them to cater for over 30 people, sent them a pre order & asked a time for it all to be delivered. It was all correct & piping hot. We all enjoyed our curries & Pizza's. “Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. We will most definitely be back!”

“Great buffet experience with a wide variety of Chinese, Indian, and continental dishes along with live stations. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the options were well presented. The only thing I really missed was crispy fried prawns, which would have made it perfect, hence one star less. Otherwise, highly recommended!”

“A popular real ale pub with friendly and welcoming staff. A great range of beers including those from the Derby Brewing Company. We also had some of their burgers, which were very tasty and pretty good value. It's also very conveniently located near the city centre”

“We were gifted a cocktail and tapas food experience here, it was a proper faff to book, although it wasnt Revs de Cuba's fault at all, but we got there in the end. The food, cocktails and the server (Christie?) were all great. We had a zombie and a blue lagoon and for food: Albondigas, Spiced Black Beans, Patatas Bravas, Tortillas and Cajun Creamed Mushrooms. To be honest I wasnt expecting a lot but we enjoyed it all, and we were'nt rushed. Another one to try again”

“We were having a 7 year olds birthday party and have a BBQ but it was forecast to be over 30c and the hottest day of the year so we decided to order Pizza instead. We ordered online for 12 guests for collection and we also ordered Gluten Free pizzas too. The order was ready within 20 minutes (for a big order at lunch time on a Saturday we were impressed) Everyone agreed it tasted fantastic and the service was brilliant. Would recommend for a pizza party.”

“Had a lovely experience yesterday! Very family friendly (we had a pram, and they put out a baby change for us). The service was very good. The little finishing touches of bringing cutlery on a plate and sauce on a little side plate, too, made it a more pleasant experience. Food is an amazing value for money! Also full for the entirety of our time there, which I feel speaks volumes!”

“I went here at around 11:30am for a Breakfast Cob, I had 2 hash browns, bacon. All was cooked amazingly, hash browns were wonderful and soft and bacon was probably the best I've ever tasted (no joke). Please go here if you need food in Tutbury!”

“My partner and I rang up to book a table late on bank holiday Sunday and luckily they squeezed us in. First time visiting and it is a lovely setting a small restaurant, it doesn't have much branding on the outside but looks like they have a lot of regulars! Staff were lovely prices were very reasonable and the food was lush! Good portion sizes too! My only quarrel is that the steak cheese burger I had said it was American cheese but it was more of a sauce (see in my photo) than a cheese slice which wasn't to my taste but that is more of a preference and just something I thought I'd make people aware of. Lovely restaurant!”

“Friend took me here last night on a Xmas trip up to Swad for an impromptu curry night and have to say was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The red onion pickle tray pot is a delight and my garlic chilli chicken was delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly and very well spiced. Would deffo eat there regular if lived nearby.”

A very warm welcome from the moment we arrived and although it was very busy the service was friendly & efficient throughout the evening, nothing is too much trouble. The interior / decor / lighting are stylish and create a warm & relaxing atmosphere. The menu provides tempting choices & the meals never disappoint.
