“What an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant! We ordered the three-course set menu, and every dish was delicious. The best naan bread i've ever had too! The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended!”

Once you enter the shop you’re introduced by a mix of world class music, paired with top tier customer service. For my first time here it was an experience you would get a michelln star restaurant! “Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. As for the food, there are plenty of tasty options to choose from. My absolute favorite is the Fire Cracker Chicken – it’s spicy and full of flavor.. If you prefer something sweet, the Caramel Chicken and sweet and sour chicken are a great choice. The Salt and Pepper Chicken has the perfect balance of seasoning, and the Chinese Chicken Curry is another must-try, with its rich and flavorful sauce. Moreover, blue light card holders can get 20% off and for the students can get 10% discount. Overall, Chopstix Derby is a fantastic place for a quick, tasty, and affordable meal. “Stayed here for my time in Etwall and you couldn’t pick a better spot. The location is fantastic and the room itself was nicely decorated and well maintained. This is all second to the first rate service and the friendliest of staff, who were extremely helpful during my visit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in lovely Etwall.”

“Greeted with a smile when I walked in. Ordered by the app, and it was ready in 12 mins, just a large pizza and a large bottle of coke. The coke was nice and cold. The pizza was nice and hot and very tasty, the meter of staff who served me was friendly. Thank you.”

“Wow! Caught a last minute booking for the ten course - yes TEN - tasting menu. Fab-u-lous! Something so wrong yet right about starting with the unmistakable taste of a Big Mac from the first course but we then cantered through so many creative and sumptuous dishes, each painstakingly presented and introduced by her enthusiastic and friendly team. Start with a cocktail and then enjoy taking your time with the wide choice of wines to suit all tastes (and budgets). We went with a Montrachet as it was a special occasion and the food deserved a wine to match. But please don’t make a reservation - it was hard enough to get one this time!”

“We were visiting Tutbury, and stumbled across this lovely café. We only had drinks but even those were nice. The caramel latte is my favourite ☕ The staff were helpful and friendly. The toilets are on the left hand side of the café, and we're spacious and clean. I would recommend this café.”

“Went here after seeing mashtag go and ordered 3 dishes teriyaki chicken which was not very spicy my teenage daughters request it was amazing 9 out of ten then a seabass dish also amazing 8 out of ten my preference don't like citrus then a beef rendang don't no ifs that's spelt write this was a bit spiced and also my daughter who dosnt like spices favourite massive 10 out of 10 all meals were either with rice or noodles but we had both which were cooked beautifully the presentation was eye pleasing apparently they have been there 8 years so not being from derby didn't no about it the staff were brilliant explaining the foods any one who reads this needs to go I don't normally do reviews but think hari hari and it's staff deserve a shout out”

“As outsiders to Derby we came here after reading such great reviews online. This place did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the staff helpful and accommodating and there were lots of veggie options. My jalfrezi was nice and spicy, just a shame i couldn’t finish it or take it back to our hotel. “Took my little boys for pizza after school today, owner kindly suggested having the margarita pizza in a cute bear shape. He also kindly let me try a bit of the pesto sauce on one of the “ears”. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza. Both were fantastic, perfect amount of sauce and cheese! I’d pick fireaway pizza over the other two market leaders any day.”

“Drove into town to try this place. Really pleased we did. Kebab meat is the best in Burton by a good margin. Fresh cooked with homemade curry sauce. Nan breads fresh as well. Was told they will be on Uber eats this week hopefully as new place. Highly recommend.”

“Had a lovely experience yesterday! Very family friendly (we had a pram, and they put out a baby change for us). The service was very good. The little finishing touches of bringing cutlery on a plate and sauce on a little side plate, too, made it a more pleasant experience. Food is an amazing value for money! Also full for the entirety of our time there, which I feel speaks volumes!”

“By far the best pizza place in Derby! We don’t go anywhere else for pizza now. Always perfect pizzas, on time and awesome staff. Family owned business for years and my partner has been using them since he was a kid and says they’ve always been brilliant!! Absolutely amazing!!”

“From just looking at the menu the food seems really basic and overpriced and I do find it difficult to justify spending £9.95 on lunch (with the small portion option) but while the ingredients are simple the portion you get for small is filling and as they say the ingredients truly are fresh and delicious. My favourites were the daal and hot potatoes. The main protein I had, chicken breast, seemed bland at first glance but actually tasted very good. Unfortunately I forgot to take additional pictures below the top layer. I think I'd only get this for lunch on special occasions but I think I would get the better value medium for dinner more often, I can't imagine finishing a medium bowl in one sitting. 2: I finally found an excuse to go again and it was really good. I had the salmon this time, which cost £2.50 extra ! It was quite good, a touch fishy. I had the daal, chicken curry, beef rice thingy. It was all quite filling and good.”

“It's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.”

The food was absolutely beautiful, staff very attentive and I think it was v reasonably priced, £26 for poppadom/ pickle tray, pint of larger and a mixed Korai (chicken, lamb, king prawn, kebab) amd pilau rice. Can't recommend highly enough!”

“Delicious Thai food at Tom Yum Thai Kitchen. We ordered the set menu so shared a platter with five starters including spring rolls and gyoza, everything was really tasty. The mains were chicken in oyster sauce, beef massaman curry and a duck dish. Everything was well presented and tasted so good. We were staying locally for the weekend and specifically drove to Belper to find this place after hearing good things! It was very busy for a Sunday, I imagine with it being a bank holiday weekend, so the staff were rushed off their feet, but were still brilliant. Just a note about the toilets which are up some stairs and down a corridor; the restaurant is located in a converted mill.”
