“A warm welcome and very tasty food at this friendly old Allestree village pub. The fajitas were delicious, as was the apple crumble. We were served by the irrepressible Luca, whose openness and sense of fun made this birthday dinner even more special! All the best for the future, Luca.”

“Went for a family meal for 5 adults. The service was excellent, quick and very friendly. The food was cooked to to perfection by the chef Camren, very good portions, cooked to all our likings in a wonderful atmosphere, all I would ask for is a bigger plate for the mixed grill.”

“Went their for my husband's retirement party, had a fantastic night in the events venue upstairs, was served by Vivienne and the entire night she was perfect, helped with orders, was a great chat, put me onto some new drinks which I'm excited to come back and enjoy! “We sat in the bar as we had the dog with us, but we were made to feel welcome. The service was quick, but we were the only ones in the bar area. We ordered The Greedy Greek Platter which was amazing! Good portions and delicious, I didn’t want it to end. One of the best meals I’ve had in a pub. Would definitely recommend.”

“Never been before and took our disabled little boy to see santa, the staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming, santa was great, nothing was to much trouble, we even got a little present for him as well and it was free to attend. Great thing to do for our local community in derby more pubs should follow suit. We would definitely visit the cresent again if in the area. 5* The cider on draft my other half really enjoyed as well.”

“I would highly recommend the Kings Arms for food and drinks. The Festive Menu was superb. Fantastic main meal along with a delicious desert. Along with my mother we were the first people to experience this years festive menu. The staff were great especially Jo made us feel very welcome. Her and her team were outstanding big thank you.”

“I booked for 6 and when we arrived our table was ready, and we were shown to it. We went with an offer voucher and we were shown how to book from our table via the app. There was an apology for the up to an hour wait for food, which in fact turned out to be more like 35 minutes. When we were served all the food came out at the same time, fresh, and piping hot. Everyone enjoyed what they had chosen and cleaned the plates! Although the place was busy it was a great atmosphere with a warm welcome and very helpful people.”

“Was taken here tonight by friends and although I'd not had Japanese food before I absolutely loved it. We tried lots of different starters and they were all Fantastic the mains were great too. The robot servers and watching the chefs cook and prepare sushi was really entertaining. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others”

The staff are absolutely wonderful and we are very polite. The food's displays came out still cooking in front of you whilst you ate and the alcoholic drinks were amazing - especially the old fashioned. Lots of variety and everything is high quality.
