“We visited the pub today for a Sunday roast and had an absolutely fantastic experience. A huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful waitress, Jessica. When we arrived, she was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She balanced between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal, checking in at just the right moments. Nothing was too much trouble. Her cheerful attitude and excellent service help make our visit one to remember. Thank you for looking after us so well—we’ll definitely be back!”

“Great pub with a beer garden. More than sufficient seating available both indoors and outdoors. The food is delicious and good selection of beer too. Parking is not an issue as they have their own free parking. Unsure of the date, but they do regular quiz nights as well.”

“Sadie the boss is great and I love the pub. Great bar staff and the lager can’t be beaten. Clean glassware meaning there’s no flat beer and the staff will pour a new pint if it isn’t to standard. Can’t fault the place.”

“Fantastic pub, new manager has absolutely transformed the place and it’s still early days. Finally nice and clean, great service, pool table and beer garden. Some of the clientele can be a bit undesirable at times but they walk the line and won’t be long until they are cleared out. Great for popping in for a couple or having a full on weekend night. If you prefer a lively atmosphere go in the bar, otherwise if you just want to relax pop in the lounge on the right as you go in.”

“Called today for carvery with the family after my husband played a darts match here earlier this week. The best carvery we’ve had in years! Everything piping hot and lovely and fresh, it won’t be long before we’re back again! X”

“We had Sunday lunch here today. Our 3 children have additonal needs and the staff were absolutely fantastic catering for their needs. Our youngest is a restrictive eater but the staff separated every item of food to ensure she could happily eat everything. Little touches like this make it much easier for us as a family to eat out. The food was also fantastic and I would recommend that everyone comes here for a meal. Thanks to all the staff for their help.”

“The Lyric Rooms recently hosted a private function where I had the joy of entertaining. The venue looked stunning, beautifully decorated to set the perfect atmosphere. The food smelled incredible and from all the feedback I heard, it tasted just as fantastic. A huge thank you to Celleste and the team, who were friendly, professional, and ensured every guest had a wonderful experience. I truly hope to return and create more magical moments there again soon.”

“Visiting this lovely little town over the weekend and we found a cocktail bar and thought we’d give it a try… did not disappoint! They had availability for me and my family to play darts, which was spectacular for a such a good system! The staff Kept checking on us for more drinks, they could not have been any more accommodating! After, we sat down for some food and more drinks, 2-4-1 cocktails on a Sunday all day and a great range to pick from too. Their food menu was worth the price and the size of portions were more than expected! Thankyou to Carmela and Fred for looking after us yesterday evening, would highly recommend and will be back soon!”

“Me and visual impaired gentleman visited the robin hood for a carvery and to watch the entertainment. The staff were lovely and couldn't of been anymore helpful with helping me assist the gentleman I was with. All the locals in the pub were very chatty and welcoming. The Sunday carvery was all fresh and homemade absolutely lovely! The entertainment was outside and very brilliant!”

“Great place for a laugh, game of darts, pool and the quiz night on a Tuesday is a good time. Also great to go back the next day when you need to be fed and they will look after you and your sore head. Kids are welcome and the atmosphere is child friendly and the outside seating is denominator on a hot day it’s great vibes.”

The venue itself is so elegant and beautifully maintained, creating the most stunning backdrop for our day. Everything ran so smoothly, and a huge thank you goes to Helen, who was simply amazing — so organised, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. The tapas menu was incredible; our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was! We had so many compliments on both the food and the overall atmosphere. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines elegance, excellent service, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, I couldn’t recommend The Kedleston Country House more highly!”

“Visited here with a group of friends after a walk in the local area. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered from the set menu which was 2 courses for £16.99 at the weekend. Food was really good, great sized portions and really tasty. Good value for money. Excellent range of draft beers on tap. Would definitely recommend and return.”
