“Nipped in while staying with friends, my beer was off, and Jimmy politely came to me and exchanged it for another beer. Plus he also give me the difference in cash. Very good service indeed. But I don't live the outside area, not pleasant enough and top garden too far from pub. But I did enjoy our visit.”

“Great traditional pub. Ales, lagers, ciders, wines. Service friendly. Covered outside area for smokers. Came in Spring so too chilly to sit outside but can imagine this please is fab on a hot summers day, whilst in winter it’s cosy.”

“Had the most enjoyable lunch. We chose the Camembert to share, we have had loads of camemberts as it is one of my favourites, but I have never ever tasted one this good. We had a glass of Chardonnay to go with it and the wine was exceptional as were the people who work there. Cannot find one fault and shall definitely be returning. Thank you for such an exceptional lovely lunch and afternoon x”

“Popped in for some food after hearing good things. The food is phenomenal, the staff and chefs were very accommodating as im lactose intolerant and swapped out normal cheese for vegan cheese and made sure every other sauce was vegan as it doesnt contain any milk. Ben the manager despite being busy as it was just after a game, made sure i was accomodated for. Highly recommended!! Edit: After further chatting with the two chefs Isaac and Josh they made sure my allergies were adhered too and were just fantastic!”

“Great service from our waitress cora, she was helpful, polite and attentive. Food was a 10 out of 10. Main meal was ready straight after our starters. And for those of us doing dry Jan they have a few 0% options to choose from. Will definitely be going back. The only reason I gave the atmosphere a 3 is because we went in at 1300 and it was quiet”

“Great local pub with quizzes and old fashioned split rooms for games, relaxing and events. This is how a pub should be. The staff were exceptionally friendly and also the patrons, would like to return one day for a drink and a game of darts.”

“Komang Ayu and Harsa started our night of well by looking after us with 2 for 1 Coctails and a quick bite to tide us over… I’ll be def stopping in each afternoon for happy hour (and a sneaky meal) before dinner each night for the rest of our trip. *I also had Brekky here and it was very good…”

“Me and visual impaired gentleman visited the robin hood for a carvery and to watch the entertainment. The staff were lovely and couldn't of been anymore helpful with helping me assist the gentleman I was with. All the locals in the pub were very chatty and welcoming. The Sunday carvery was all fresh and homemade absolutely lovely! The entertainment was outside and very brilliant!”

“We visited the pub today for a Sunday roast and had an absolutely fantastic experience. A huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful waitress, Jessica. When we arrived, she was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She balanced between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal, checking in at just the right moments. Nothing was too much trouble. Her cheerful attitude and excellent service help make our visit one to remember. Thank you for looking after us so well—we’ll definitely be back!”

“Great pub with a beer garden. More than sufficient seating available both indoors and outdoors. The food is delicious and good selection of beer too. Parking is not an issue as they have their own free parking. Unsure of the date, but they do regular quiz nights as well.”

“We had Sunday lunch here today. Our 3 children have additonal needs and the staff were absolutely fantastic catering for their needs. Our youngest is a restrictive eater but the staff separated every item of food to ensure she could happily eat everything. Little touches like this make it much easier for us as a family to eat out. The food was also fantastic and I would recommend that everyone comes here for a meal. Thanks to all the staff for their help.”

“An absolutely faultless, Christmas's Day meal / experience! Often, I've been for Christmas Day meals, only to be left disappointed by the food, service, or friendliness of the staff. This far surpasses anything I've previously experienced! I know it's hard for staff to work on Christmas Day, but these couldn't have done more for us. The team were all extremely friendly, and welcoming. Our server (Ollie) couldn't have done more for us. He was always there for drinks orders, and even made time to chat, despite being very busy. The food was exceptional and very presented. The price, considering it was Christmas Day, was extremely reasonable too. Even the little touches, such as a Christmas card, added to a very pleasant meal. Thank you so much to The Otter, and their excellent team and service.”

“Attended a wine and cheese tasting event at Amalfi White - what a fantastic experience! The lovely Emma hosted us and her knowledge of wines and the process of wine production was so interesting- we also tried (and were converted to) some wines we had never thought of or heard of! There was also a fantastic selection of delicious meats and cheeses (always pleases!) I’d definitely recommend it for future events. Thanks Emma”
