“Went into the Newcraighall store today, on the off chance and because I was passing. I ordered online on Sunday night. I’d had no email confirmation, had no order number, but I could see the transaction on my credit card statement. Anyway, it’s a birthday present for my son and was worried. I’m taking the time to write this because the assistant, Rhonda, was outstanding. It wasn’t even that store but she went above and beyond. I left feeling two things, really relieved that the issue was sorted (and it was- parcel picked up at Meadowbank earlier) and sure that I’d be using Argos (especially the Fort) again. What a nice, competent, helpful woman. ⭐”

“I was recommend by a few girls to do my dress shopping here, not known what I was expecting I must say the store is absolutely beautiful. I visited with 4 of my bridesmaids and from the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. It was honestly a lovely experience for us all. Claire made everyone of us feel so comfortable. Claire we can’t thank you enough for your warm welcome, you took the time to make sure we understood how it all goes. The Prosecco, chocolate strawberries and hot drinks went down a treat. Such a lovely to touch to our experience. I told Claire my experience from trying on wedding dresses from another shop and as much as I enjoyed it I didn’t get the wow factor I was looking for. Claire gave me a lot of reassurance which has made me feel so excited to get booked in to to find my dream dress. Yous are amazing at what yous do. Keep being yous x”

First sales assistant said the suit I loved didn't come with a waistcoat so I looked elsewhere but ultimately decided to come back as I loved the suit. “You all know what this place is about, and you get what you expect. Piles of immorally cheap clothing, piled (or hung) high, with a selection of rather random items at very low prices. You just can’t beat it! Perfect for clothing the kids at rock bottom prices. My kids are walking Primark models with all the gear we’ve got here.”

“I took my 88 year old mum for a bra fitting at the M&S store at the Gyle. The lady who helped her was called Margaret and she was absolutely wonderful with my mum. She spent over an hour and a half trying on different bras with a variety of attachments until the perfect one was found for her. My mum was absolutely delighted and I can't praise Margaret enough for having the patience and kindness to ensure that she felt and looked great when she left.”

There’s an incredible selection to choose from swimsuits, workout gear, pajamas, beauty products, beach towels, and more. They truly have just about everything! The store spans multiple floors, each packed with options. I absolutely loved shopping here.”

“I’m not a huge fan of craighleith retail park - it’s a sadly depressing place and given it was built on one of the most important quarry’s - they completely overwrote its history. However, M&S is the shining light - everything is done well here from customer service to the cafe and the clothes store. I once witnessed a woman fall over faint in 2024 and the speed and kindness the staff treated her with deserves to be commended. My go-to in Edinburgh if taking the family for a cafe outing.”

“Asda in the Livingston centre is just fantastic. The shop is massive and very well stocked. Their George department is easily the biggest I've ever seen. Normally clothes in a supermarket for men tend to be one or perhaps 2 rows, however Asda is bigger and a huge choice. Handy for items if you are going on holiday. Great choice of shorts and T-shirts flip flops etc. Well worth a visit and much better value for money than you get in other high street retailers”
