“Well most of the staff are nice, clean and tidy place , security guy is very wonderful, in coronavirus pandemic time in the entrance there are sanitizers to clean your hands, the basket and thermometer to check the human temperature, music there in nice choice.”

“I come in here every now and again. Staff are very polite and know what they are doing. Came in for a newspaper this morning and the blonde woman and the young guy in a black top was absolutely great. Excellent little Tesco, will be making myself a regular face now.”

“Recently just opened as it used to be the one stop. Great little place to stop off at on your way to and from the motorway. Have everything you could possible want at decent prices and often have special deals. Plenty of parking and staff are lovely definitely recommend this place”

“Last Friday, 12th September, myself 65 and my Grandson Josh 14, had our first ever weekend away in York. Josh had a major operation on his groin last year, and both of us being Viking fans saved every penny we could for this special time together. After 5 hours of travelling, we left our belongings at the hotel, and ubered into town for an Indian meal. After a beautiful meal, we called into this Tesco express, for drinks and goodies for our room. We self checked out and called an Uber. Uber came and we are halfway back to the hotel, I ask Josh to pass my bag. He tells me it's not there! Panic sets in, I am feeling everywhere....my bag is not there! I feel sick, I am going to pass out! Everything is in that bag. Money, purse, phone, cards, hotel keys, train tickets! Everything! I ask the driver to take us back. I am hyperventilating, the driver is panicking. We pull up outside, Josh comes in with me. A member of staff is shelf filling, I ask if a bag had been handed in. A voice shouted yes! We went to the counter, I described my bag, and this wonderful lady hands me it. You have no idea, not one single clue what this meant to us. Some wonderful, special, person, handed it in. I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Josh does too. We had the most amazing weekend. Tesco express, you should know what wonderful, honest, and amazing staff you have there. I cant thank you enough. Thank you. X”

“I rarely come to Sainsbury’s, not due to the store itself, but due to convenience issues. However, several weeks ago, I was visiting a member of my family up north and stumbled across this Sainsbury’s with my elderly grandmother. This is when I met Farhan, I don’t say this a lot but appraisal is due when you meet such an exceptional member of society. Farhan was welcoming into the store, and ensured that it was cheers all around. When it came to checking through my shopping, he was prompt to assist my elderly grandmother with her groceries as we struggled to carry them out, until we were able to gain assistance from other family members. It’s very rare to gain such a high standard of service from any supermarket, and his personality alone would be enough to bring me back in the future. Promote! Promote! Promote!”

“So many bad reviews and don't understand why, staff are friendly and helpful, sometimes they run short on staff when it's outrageously busy but they do their best to help. Always been there and had no problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this store as they have lots of good products. One of the checkout was dirty and I avoided scanning a product to nor make my products dirty, a staff member noticed and came quickly to clean it. Outstanding service from the staff, thank you!”
