“We were greeted by lovely, friendly staff on arrival and instantly loved the décor. But of course, we came for the pies we’d heard so much about – and they did not disappoint! I had the garlic chicken and mushroom pie with mash and peas, and it was absolutely delicious. My partner went for the minted lamb pie with dumplings, mash, and peas, and he was just as impressed. The food is home-cooked, full of flavour, and very reasonably priced. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again!”

“We've had 2 orders. Really friendly. So far we've tried Crispy beef, chicken curry, sweet and sour Cantonese chicken and char sui & chicken fried rice. Prawn toast, spring rolls, ribs, crispy seaweed, satay chicken and s&p squid. These have all been really good sized portions. The food is always hot. Tastes brilliant. Sometimes you can end up with slimy chicken. This place does not serve that at all. It's a good texture. Have to say, I'm very impressed. Plus I love the money trees!”

“Really great food. The fried chicken was very flavourful and juicy. The fries were crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. The kebab was really tasty also. The delivery driver was very friendly also. Will definitely be coming here again!”

“Used to get pizzas from here all the time but unfortunately moved to segundos not because viva let us down (the opposite were always friendly and fast with the order) thier deep pan is so fluffy and soft definitely order that, and if segundos is ever closed viva will be are second option straight away.”

“I stayed here to see family for a few days, first visit what can I say it was lovely, staff were great made me feel welcome breakfast was very tasty and the girls on breaking were great even the evening staff also the housekeeper I met that day was very pleasant, only downside the car park was full of litter shout out to Karen Caitlin Mandy and the lady on the evening shift forgot her name will definitely be back.”

“We've just had our painters meeting AGM today. We all had a meal, and the food was super. Steak and ale pie with chips and peas was excellent. The service was first class, and the staff are wonderful. We go every month. It's a lovely pub.”

“Went in on Tuesday 18th March 2025 at 7pm. Ordered 2 fish, 1 chips, peas and a scallop. The fish was fresh as it got fried when we went in. Chips were delicious and the scallops were also quality. One of the best fish shops around.”

“Where do I start. Visited the sun pub for early dinner booked table online. After entering and been greeted by a friendly chap behind the bar was directed to our table which had my name on reserved. We ordered starters and a main food came out quickly and was absolutely great. We will definitely be returning to this pub for breakfast and Sunday lunches. The staff are all great and very attentive to customers. We didn't know until visit it's dog friendly aswell but we left the pup home . If you're hungry and in the area don't drive passed this brilliant pub.”

My first time with my parents, my parents visited last week.i had prawn salad which was gluten free, my parents had soup which was minestrone, plaice very lightly battered, mushy peas and chips followed by rhubarb crumble and custard. Our drinks were a latte, tea and coffee with cold milk. Lula and another lady who served us were wonderful , cannot fault anything. My parents would like me to mention Mia and Molly along with Alison who all were delightful last week. Thank you so much, I will be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
