“Olives were nice, but would have preffered pitted olives personally, and could have been a bigger portion. Garlic bread with caramelised onion starter was nice and enough for 2 people to share a small portion each. Salad was lovely with lots of sauce and added goats cheese. Malbec was nice. Wagyu pizza was very good and the honey sauce was very nice. Vincent our waiter was new and he got our orders right and was very polite. Vegan chocolate cake was nice but probably would have been better had it been warm and maybe with some vegan ice cream. Overall lovely meal.”

“The future of kebabs is in great hands. We tried these yesterday and had to get them again tonight. They are the tastiest kebabs we have ever had! Served in a naan with juicy lamb thats spiced to perfection and served with salad and the sauces you get with pickle trays, especially that mint one that everyone fights for it was just amazing and so filling. Well done to the chefs and whoever decided to put it as a menu option! Try it out and be prepared to get addicted!”

“Oh my had a satay tonight and it was absolutely lovely. Peanut as it said and a good bit of heat . Is there a new chef?? We use you all the time and this was one of the best satay dishes I have had.”

“Excellent service from the staff yesterday. Somehow I managed to order a pizza with no cheese (blasphemy!!) and didn't realise until it was too late to add it and they had already cooked my pizza. I had asked to order another one and forfeit the money as it was my mistake and they offered to remake my pizza for me free of charge. Obviously the look of disappointment of a cheesless pizza on my face said it all, I couldn't cope with eating a pizza with no cheese! And best of all it was piping hot, fresh, and delicious!! “I googled this takeaway to tell a friend of how good it is and can’t believe the bad reviews. I’ve been ordering from here for over a year now and never had a bad meal, the food is always hot and fresh! The delivery takes on average an hour or a bit longer but happy to wait than order from somewhere else and be disappointed. So hard to find a good Chinese but this is our go to”

“The Block is a great spot for pizza, we popped in for a quick bite and a pint with not much time to spare. You can select which pizzas you want varying from £4-5 and they do you a large rectangular slice cut into 2 (we shared). As a recommendation, it's the perfect spot for a quick bite before doing something else for the evening. Staff were friendly, pizza was nice and they had good music on and a good selection of drinks, including brooklyn lager on draught!”

Looked lovely and tasted better than any in Acomb. Would recommend to everybody ever. The rich juicy flavours of the chicken really brought out the exquisite spice of the sauce. “Ordered tonight a large order of £75 and we ordered around 6 main dishes and every single person commented how beautiful the food was!! Everything was full of flavour and tasty , we collected our order and the place was spotless clean & big open kitchen 10/10!! We are from West Yorkshire and are fussy about Chineese food but I highly recommend this place”
