He was really poorly but the team looked after him so well and kept us updated throughout the evening and night. “Following a weekend away we broke down on the A55 and Queensferry MOT testing center came to our rescue. They fixed the car when they said they would having the clutch and fly wheel replaced by mid day the next day, having only arrived on their doorstep at 4.30pm. The garage couldn't do enough to help as eager to see us back on the road as we were. They were swift, professional and competitively priced. We would definitely recommend this garage to anyone.”

“Mr De Gado is a fantastic surgeon. He is kind, understanding and listened to me during my consultation . I had Upper Blepharoplasty. I am 4 weeks post op. Mr De Gado is, very caring. I felt I was in safe hands from the day I had my consultation with him. The results are amazing. It's made such a difference to face. All the staff are lovely and took time to talk to me. Jodie my patient coordinator is such a lovely and approachable person. Carol on reception is very welcoming and a lovely person to talk to I was so nervous on the the day of surgery as I decided to have General Anaesthetic. The anaesthetist put my mind at rest and took time to talk to me, she was such a lovely person. Every member of staff I came in to contact with was highly professional but super friendly and caring. I would highly recommend Mr De Gado and the New Birkdake Clinic to anybody who is considering surgery”

“Recently attended A and E as a patient. Very impressed with the new location and set up. Very organised with several waiting areas, vast improvement from previous A and E. Well organised and efficient, all staff i came into contact with were professional and polite. Waiting time was acceptable, one should accept that this a busy A and E dealing with hundreds of walk in patients . Patience is the watch word . To me the wait is more than acceptable when considering the high work load . I was admitted as an in patient firstly to Majors ward and then to ward 32 . Throughout my stay i was impressed by the professional and polite attitude by all members of staff i came into contact with and the high standards of care. I found the ward very clean and well maintained a credit to all. A vast improvement from the last time i had cause to visit the hospital as a patient several years ago Peter veevers”

“As someone who has had many experiences in different psychiatric hospitals, I never thought I'd ever find myself leaving a review remotely like this... I was on Weaver Ward for approximately 3 weeks and the experience I had as a patient was unbelievable and this is mainly down to the staff. The staff at this hospital are just amazing. Every, single, one of them. They spend so much time and effort in supporting all the patients, and its clear they're all so passionate and caring. They have the highest levels of empathy, and not once did any staff ever react in a bad or negative way towards a patient, even in extreme circumstances. They are clearly all so highly trained, knowledgeable, skilled and compassionate All of the below are things that I have never experienced at any other psychiatric hospital but did here: There were psychological groups regularly throughout the week There were things to do on the wards for entertainment such as a tablet you could borrow and use, a radio, a TV that you could control, extensive art supplies, a pool table, a ping pong table and more...and except for making loud noises at night so that you don't disturb other patients, you could do whatever of the above, whenever you wanted There was pet therapy - the most amazing experience ever. You got to hold and feed and take pictures lots of different animals including a rabbit, a tortoise, a skink, a guinea pig, a skunk, a centipede and more... I got given escorted leave every single day which meant I could go shopping and buy whatever I wanted and even went to a cafe to have coffee and cakes while chatting with staff They provided free disposable vapes if people needed them I actually knew who my named nurse was, and they spent a significant amount of time with me, getting to know and understand me and finding actual ways to help me which worked. Nadine, you are an absolute asset to the NHS and one of (if not the best) mental health nurse I have ever met in the NHS. There aren't words to describe how amazing she is, and how thankful I am to her. I will never forget her for the rest of my life I had the most fantastic experience and actually left the hospital a million times better than when I went in (also a first for me) I seriously hope that if I ever need to go back into hospital again, that I'm sent back to Weaver Ward”
