It was our 1st time eating out on christmas day and will for sure 100% be back next year ! We didn't have any issues, though, a few comments to be made regarding choices for the gluten-free menu, which I have raised already with GK, though it didn't dampen our days . The 0% was a delightful treat, and we were so glad we felt like we were 100% enjoying the christmas spirits . All snr staff were happy and delightful as always . “We had our staff team meal last week and have been to the New Albion several times since it has changed management. We’ve had various meals, particularly enjoying the lamb, steak, loaded fries and chicken feast. This has been the place my family have been going for years, back to the original Albion days. It took a serious dip as the Cook House but since Stephen & Jake have taken over, it’s regained its atmosphere and charm. I approached Stephen about supporting Halton Cancer Support, a local charity and he was very eager to get involved. He sought opinion and support from the public and began to create a relationship with our work, supporting our annual 5K event. They couldn’t do enough to help and support us. They elevated our event, extending it into the evening, attracting new supporters for our charity and new customers in their lovely pub. We’ve enjoyed great food and drinks every time we’ve been. This has lead to me booking for a party of 18 near to Christmas and my family are booked in for Christmas Day lunch. I don’t think we would have engaged as a charity or returned as a family without the warmth and friendliness of Stephen, Jake, and their team. Thank you for bringing some joy back to an old Widnes favourite, and for bringing it back to life with your own added sparkle.”

“This is the best Greene King I’ve been to. It’s just had a massive refurb and looks very modern. It has a big TV wall with the match on the big screen. Next to it on the smaller TVs next to it with sky sports news so you can monitor the other matches at the same time. It has a fab dart board also that adds up your scores automatically. Toilets are spotless. My first meal here was burger and chips and it was fresh with some lovely sea salt on my chips. I was on lemonade and it was nice and tasty! Fully recommend this place and it has a nice size car park to make it easy to drive there. Monday nights is Speed Quizzing which is great fun, free to play and you can win a gift card as well.”

“I was in a predicament today. And ended up at the Grapes whilst trying to get myself a taxi.. The staff and the locals were amazing.
