“We travel down from Scotland to Liverpool a few times year and we ALWAYS stop here !! The food is so incredible and priced really well for the area, definitely would recommend their garlic fries (never had something so delicious and huge portion for £3.50!). They have amazing happy hour deals 3-8pm midweek and their cocktails are ALWAYS so strong but so delicious. Staff are super lovely and it’s nice to be remembered !! Free pool on a Friday which was a nice touch, and SO many sports screens for the footie / golf / fighting. YOU NEED TO GO HERE”

“We had a great experience at slug and lettuce with George & Kashmira serving us. They were very attentive and always bringing new drinks when we had finished. Excellent service and would 100% recommend to anyone! Can’t complain at all! Food was also delicious! (Had the full English and eggs benny)! Will be returning!! Thanks again!”

“Amazing little spot in Bootle! Hidden gem, food is amazing, Tyler the chefs has done amazing with the menu and can tell really cares about putting out good quality food everytime! Sunday roasts are a must, they're amazing. Angela behind the bar is just a sweetheart and the best! Always service with a smile and so friendly! A credit to the place. Definitely my new favourite local. An amazing beer garden out the back too for the sunny days and some amazing live acts at the weekend that always have a great atmosphere. Love this place.”

“We both had the steak and honestly WOW. absolutely beautiful. our server Molly was so lovely and friendly and very attentive and service was super quick. The steak is honestly on par with miller and carter for a fraction of the price. absolutely phenomenal. wine was amazingly priced considering the quality. definitely recommend this place, lovely staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere and great quick service.”

“Had breakfast here yesterday. Really nice spoons right in the middle of Heswall. Really friendly staff, loads of dining space. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and waiting time was minimal. Lots of regular customers in there too who kept the place lively. Full English with refillable coffee just over £6! Bargain!”
