“Nice neighborhood Pub with a large outdoor seating area. Really good beer selection including some cask ales to choose from. Outside was packed so found a nice seat inside by the bar and enjoyed the music at a Saturday night volume and a decent mix playing. Service was fast and friendly but as a note they do not accept cash only cards .”

“Biker Night of a Thursday. Plenty of secure parking. Very nice food. Reasonably priced drinks Excellent location, Peaceful setting next to the reservoir, Sunsets are fabulous in summer months Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating too. Friendly staff and atmosphere.”

“Love it. Just had chicken fried rice with a tub of curry for the wife and kung po sauce for me, salt n pepper dim sum, prawn toast and duck rolls. It was fantastic.”

“Absolute 10/10 Chinese takeaway, proper traditional. Decent portion sizes, good amounts of meat and could tell everything was fresh, even down to the veg. Easily the best Chinese in the area if you want proper food and friendly staff. Ignore Phil’s 1* review, the takeaway has zero control over Just Eat drivers. The lady tried to help him and said if he wanted to cancel the delivery and ordered for collection they’d give him the food but couldn’t give it him for free as they don’t get the money if it’s not delivered. Everyone else in the takeaway understand that so not sure why he didn’t. He obviously just wanted someone to shout at, glad they stood their ground.”

“Always get food from here every weekend. I usually order from the same takeaway until I have one that wasn't very good and then I try some where else. I have still been going here for the past two years. That says it all about the quality of the food”

“I am 75,and last night I was going to the sefton pub then onto the Palace for an Indian meal,,my mate dave, allan and john,,was picking me up in the windle carpark,dave and Allan I have known since I was 15,john I have known for 3 years,,,,before he picked me up,,I knocked on the windle's pub door,manager came to the window I asked him could I leave my car on the carpark while I went for a meal with my friends,,he said no problem whatsoever,I thanked him top guy,,,meal was good too,,we all had a good time,,kevin kerr”

“This is my favourite town centre boozer. There have been some changes here since local stalwart and all-round top bloke Matty died, but the place is as good as ever from a food and ale point of view. Staff are always fab and there's a good craic with everyone behind the bar. The food is consistently good and I've never had any complaints whenever I have ate here. There is a lot of demand so things run out relatively quickly - a aign of a good place! It is also reliably one of the best pints of Guinness in the town. They even have the new fangled booze like Cruzcampo, and have a huge selection of spirits, especially whiskeys and gins. Live music every Thursday and Friday. You honestly can't go wrong here.”

“I have ordered from Sabroso many times over the years and the food just gets better & better. I usually have it delivered in St Helens but we had it delivered to Wigan tonight and the food was still excellent and piping hot! The chicken tinga burrito was large and worth the price, the salad on the tacos was very fresh and I liked how the chicken for the taco was in its own pot so less mess. I queried through the instagram page and the customer service was excellent, highly recommended!”
