“Usually come here for a snack in work on my break but couldn't resist the urge even on my day off last night so ordered a delivery for me & a friend. Sweet n sour pizza, absolutely spot on! And the chicken strips & chicken wings absolutely gorgeous as always! Will be grabbing more tomorrow at work as usual!”

“We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, especially the prawn puri and the sea bass. This must be the best place to eat in St Helen's, and in my top three of all Indian restaurants across the UK. Loved the high ceilings, spaciousness and elegance of the place. The staff were really great too, attentive, friendly and good at communicating. A great evening!”

“Amazing food and customer service, very attentive. Amazing from start to finish, popadoms were fresh, chicken tikka was delicious. Chicken tikka madras was perfect level of spice for me and my s/o was made up with his chicken jalfrezi and egg fried rice. Highly recommend.”

“Incredible service, atmosphere and even better food. I was in yesterday lunchtime for some food and a coffee. The sirloin steak with a side of garlic new potatoes blew me away with how good it was. Cooked to perfection and full of flavour, easily the best sirloin steak I’ve had and portion was huge. I’m not local but I will certainly be travelling the 75 miles each way to come back here very soon.”

“The staff are very friendly and helpful we had afternoon tea for my daughter's birthday the food was delish and plenty of it I had to take some home! The photo is the treats but they're was sandwiches and wraps too and they were great not doing some with butter on too we were able to take our own alcohol which was great!”

“The best chips I’ve ever had. Visited as a group for a midweek catchup after receiving many recommendations. The waitress was so lovely and attentive, and immediately made us feel so at home. Really enjoyed the halloumi burger, and the chipotle sauce on the side was perfect so I could tailor the burger to my spice level. Generous portions at a really reasonable price. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal in such a warm welcoming environment. 100% recommend, will be returning soon”

“If you like a nice cosy country pub away from loud and rowdy crowds this is your place! The staff are amazing and helpful, very busy tending to tables and always smiling! The food was amazing and at a quality I would put at a level alongside several high end restaurants we have visited and at a very reasonable price. I had the spicy belly pork bites for a starter which I would recommend, for mains I had the cod and chips with mushy peas which was cooked perfectly. We eat out regularly when we are out and about and would safely say this is the best pub serving food we have visited within a 50 mile radius of Liverpool! 10/10........ only the 1 picture of food unfortunately as was too busy eating it!”

I've paid a lot more than I paid today, for soggy batter, and a handful of chips The staff are very pleasant and polite I would recommend Newtown Fish Bar . A well deserved 5 stars”

“Omg fell on this place by accident as new to area tried the nearest one to me and cudnt eat the chips oil tasted months old and really disgusting taste just bought sausage and chips from here and the food is as lovely as the staff best chippy by miles in the area definitely be my local now”
