“Came here for a work Christmas meal, and we couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing and they catered superbly to vegan and gluten-free diets. The food was also great value for money, and the extra touches such as sorbet and a welcome drink were really appreciated. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we felt well looked after the entire time. Thank you, team! We will definitely be back again.”

“The cutest little pub by old Street station / Moorfields eye hospital. I came on a Sunday for a roast and it did not disappoint! Roast came in a giant Yorkshire, not shy with the gravy, roasties crispy and fluffy inside, the meat and veg also divine. Would Highly recommend!”

“Not withstanding the fact it’s a Sam Smiths pub, we managed to find drinks that everyone was happy with. The main hall of this pub is splendid, from the vaulted ceiling to the small booth seating and the paneled walls. The pub is worth a visit just to see its atmospheric interior. Then of course sit and have a drink.”

“Wedding venue We got married at the Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond on the 18th of October and couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day. We chose the winter wedding package, and everything from start to finish was beautifully organised. Laure was absolutely wonderful – calm, patient, and so responsive throughout the whole planning process. She explained everything clearly, gave fantastic advice, and it was lovely to have her there on the day with her calm, kind and reassuring manner. The venue looked stunning, with the room very professionally set up and the riverside location providing a beautiful backdrop. The food was exceptional – so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was and how smoothly the whole day ran. The fire pit, hot chocolate, and mulled wine were the perfect added touches for an autumn wedding. A huge thank you to Laure, Sherry, and the entire team at the Bingham Riverhouse for making our wedding day so special. Everything was flawless, and we’ll remember the day for years to come. “We went there to watch Paddington The Musical, what an amazing performance, it was absolutely sensational. The cast was brilliant, and the person who was in the Paddington suit, how they did not pass out, was a miracle. We were up in the gods, but still had a good view of the stage and performance. The staff were helpful, the only downside was a Dad and his son behind us who were loud during some of it, however, fortunately the performance mainly drowned them out. It was hard to get tickets, and rightly so, a definite must for musical lovers, and an absolute must for Paddington lovers. Bonnie Langford as Mrs Bird, just added to an already amazing performance. I would highly recommend this to anyone.”

“The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, and the place itself was nice. Although it’s located underground, it still feels relatively spacious — though a ground-floor venue would have been even better. The meats were excellent and full of flavor, and the wine selection was broad with plenty of options. The bone marrow butter was also delicious. I definitely recommend this place if you enjoy good meat.”

“It was my birthday meal and everything was perfect. The pork belly bites are like candy that is sticky and melts in your mouth at the same time. My friend has mushrooms on toast to start and they were yummy with the combo of shrooms and that sauce. We then both had burgers - she beef and me chicken and they were excellent. They were very accommodating she didn’t want the bacon on hers but I did. The fries were so good and stayed hot for a long time. I also had an Islay old-fashioned - heavenly. We didn’t have room for dessert but they brought us out a couple of brownie bites and the were divine. I would definitely eat here again.”

“Côte is a classic safe choice when you somewhat french food that is at a reasonable price. We decided to try this branch for the view and outdoor seating. Prime view to tower bridge which felt like a luxury. No waiting times and the waiter was just so lovely, inviting and caring. My food highlight was the salad starter from the Prix Fixe menu. “A recommended choice if you look for good food, often with a twist to keep it interesting. Highlight for us were the muscles, fish, pumpkin stuffed pasta, the very low alcohol beer and deserts. But I would trust the chef with anything. Everything was cooked on point. The staff was lovely and happy to ensure we were comfortable and looked after. We spend a bit more on drinks however the meal prices were entirely worth the price and reasonable. A real food highlight for the area and definitely the choice for bringing guests. Thank you for a lovely evening”

“The historical appearance of the building, It felt old-fashioned and exciting from the moment I entered the entrance. The furniture and decorations are said to be of historical value and are on the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Pub Heritage register. The caviar I had here was a new sensation, the fish dishes were also surprisingly good. The service was very good. I would like to come back again.”

“Very good Portobello pub in a former post office about five minutes walk from Forest Hill Railway Station. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited. Lots of outdoor seating at the front. The pub retains many of the original features from the post office including the two strongrooms which have been converted into small booths.”

“Went first thing when they opened and told them I had never had a Sunday Roast... the women were very pleasant and I sat down with a beer and got the roast beef version. It was very tasty and honestly very well presented. I don't have any comparisons so take that with a grain of salt but I thought it was great.”

“We were staying nearby, and even on our way from the airport, I noticed this place - an old building with tall windows, through which you could glimpse chandeliers. The Old Bank of England looked exactly like a bank - and how wonderful that it turned out to be a pub -) Indeed, a real Bank of England operated here for a long time (from 1888 to 1975). What happened next remains a mystery, but since 2013, it's a pub. Legend says the vault here once held the Crown Jewels - though there's no way to verify that now -) And the pub is excellent. I'd recommend sitting on the second floor. First, the view from up there is far more interesting than on the ground floor; second, you are more likely to find available tables. For example, around 4 p.m., most tables on the ground floor were reserved, while only one table was occupied upstairs. The only downside to the second floor? You have to go downstairs to get your beer -) As for the food - nothing extraordinary, but very tasty. The fried halloumi (see photo), for instance, was wonderful. In fact, I suggest taking some time to explore the pub if you can. It’s full of atmosphere - the walls are adorned with old photographs, paintings, and bank‑related artifacts like vintage bank cheques. And you absolutely must step out onto the terrace. Absolutely. Because it's not just a terrace with extra tables (though those are there too) — it also features a real double‑decker bus converted into a café. With seating and tables - all inside a bus! -) Even if it is cold outside or you prefer to sit inside the main building, you should still go out there - just to see this marvel -) A wonderful place, a great pub. If you are in the area, do stop by for a pint or two - and to touch a little piece of London’s past.”

“A classic pub that’s on a pleasant side street. The interior feels relaxed and inviting, and the staff is equally inviting and personable. They’ve got a robust selection of drinks, and a food menu that I didn’t try but looked appetizing nonetheless. If you’re looking for an enjoyable establishment to get a few drinks and relax, then the windmill pub won’t disappoint.”

“The staff, the breakfast and the service are the stars of this hotel. First of all, all staff is very experienced, very very guest oriented, and fun to talk to. From reception to the breakfast or dining staff. Complimentary bottled water (every time you come back to the hotel) is not common. The hotel has a very nice pub which feels like an oasis when you arrive per car or come back from the city. The breakfast was really excellent and I would rate it better than 4 star even, definitely not a 3 star as its category. Big thanks to Betty ("the 360 degrees manager"), the very nice and helping girl at reception (forgot to ask for her name :() and the boys at the pub. Every staff makes their positive impact at this hotel. This hotel fully understands the service and guest oriented concepts and leave a personal touch with the guests. You can definitely observe and feel that! Would love to come back. Also, I have read similar reviews to mine (guests that took their time and wrote more than just 3 words) and that is what made me book this hotel in the first place. Well done Fox & Goose!”
