“We arrived quite late to Punch Tavern and unfortunately missed out on the Sunday Roast. However, the manager Alex was extremely kind in letting us have a choice of the other main courses and a cocktail on the house! The steak and the garlic shrimp were very flavourful indeed. Punch Tavern was recommended to me by a local tour guide as the best place for an authentic Sunday roast in London and, while I cannot comment on the Sunday roast at this time (definitely will be back!), I can say that the pub definitely deserves its esteemed reputation.”

“I lovely pub for Sunday Roast. The interior and atmosphere is lovely and gets very busy on Sunday. I think all the roast options are great except for the beef because you get a very small portion of meat compared to the other dishes. The apple and pear crumble is unbelievably sweet beyond imagination and you have to pay £1 for the tiniest portion (size of espresso) , either make it larger or make it free at that point!”

“I recently held a wake for my late mother at The Queen’s Head, and I cannot praise the team enough. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly during such an emotional time. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. There was a fantastic variety, and it was all so well received by our guests—it disappeared in no time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made everyone feel comfortable and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend The Queen’s Head to anyone looking for a venue to host a wake or any special gathering. Their dedication, kindness, and attention to detail made a difficult day so much easier. Thank you for everything!”

“Wow! What a terrific hidden gem. Great location and access to the Tube. Clean, comfortable and thoughtful, well-appointed rooms. Food and drink always first rate. The staff were amazing...always friendly, smiling and willing to help. Staying at Aragon House is more like visiting your best friend than staying in a hotel. “We went here in relation to a stay at the Ned and therefore got access to what is normally a Member's Club bar. It is built inside the old bank vault of the Midland's Bank and it is so impressive. The door is a sight in itself, and sitting alongside the styled safety deposit boxes is a fun and unusual experience. Prices are what to be expected from an upscale London bar, and the staff is very friendly, being able to give you anything that is not on the menu. 5/5 and can recommend to anyone looking for a little extra.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Fenchurch Restaurant. The views, the food, the service everything was perfect. We celebrated my mother’s Birthday and our wonderful server Valentina even wrote her a little note which was such a lovely gesture! In general Valentina made our stay extra special and was very attentive and kind. The food was out of this world! Especially the veil chop made us gasp! It’s definitely not an everyday thing to do but makes every special occasion extra special. Thanks again to the whole team!”

“FINALLY a fabulous cup of coffee in a pub! REJOICE! Honestly so hard to come by, but I’ve been a few lunch times now to ‘work from home’ and James makes a mean flat white. Nice chap too. I’ve only had sandwiches so far, but they were superb. Love it!”

“Fantastic Sunday roast. Best pork crackling I think I have ever had, and a tasty piece of pork. My wife had the chicken which I tried and it was equally delicious. Dog friendly too. Worth getting here early on a weekend as they can generally find you a table even though they were pretty fully booked.”

“A great place to eat and relax outside. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. The burger was great. You could taste every ingredient including the vegetables and the whole burger came together to make a tasty and healthy seeming burger. I usually take out the gherkins but these I left in. Looking forward to going back and trying the roast.”
