The taxi was clean and purposely built so there was a partition between myself and the driver which was absolutely essential as I needed to be socially distanced before my COVID swab. Food is amazing sicilian-Cameroonian fusion with am emphasis on seafood fresher than the Prince of Bel aire. The service from the lovely crew is amazing.Drinks are great value. It really feels like stepping into a classic diner, complete with paper-hat-wearing staff. Staff are generally friendly and courteous-servers standout, welcoming families with enthusiasm. However, the ordering system is hybrid: self-service kiosks paired with a fixed service charge, which some find off-putting. The menu spans burgers, wings, chicken & waffles, hot dogs, and hearty sides. Highlights include loaded potato skins, sticky BBQ wings, and indulgent milkshakes—especially Oreo shakes and vibrant strawberry lemonade. The Big Moe’s Platter and generous portion sizes. While the décor scores high on atmosphere, cleanliness is hit or miss—sticky tables, grime in booths, and overlooked table service have been flagged. Big Moe's Diner pricing is on the steeper side for a fast-casual experience; some feel it falls short of value. “We hosted our daughter’s 1st Birthday party in the Star’s private function room (a beautiful room). Elle did a fantastic job and ensured that the day ran smoothly! I had a lot of specific asks and requests and Elle did a great job in fulfilling them. Communication from booking to the event itself was great. On the day Elle pre-empted all our needs, the chef was great, food was lovely and the service from the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back for the next big celebration!”

“We had a reservation last night for three and the service was impeccable ! We were seated as soon as we arrived, our starters came within 7 mins of ordering…. The smoked lamb chops and the mango chilli prawns were the star of the show. The waiters were so pleasant and came frequently to check on us. We also enjoyed the flaky garlic naan we ordered. It was the best Indian I’ve had in a really long time. It was worth the commute from West London. Would 100% recommend to any one who fancies a good Indian restaurant.”

“Brilliant restaurant that has survived here since 1982 under the same ownership. One of the oldest in the area, that says a lot. Service is good, have drinks on drafts and prices are reasonable. They accommodated us very late on Boxing Day and most importantly the food was great, at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.”

“MAM GRILL HUT - first time trying the new venue which was previously known as the grill hut. Since under new ownership, the eatery has had brand new interior which is vibrant and welcoming, far greater improvement. The tables were clean and plenty of seating was available. As a group of 8 we were attended to by the extremely friendly staff. Menu items are plentiful. We opted for the grill chicken platter with 4 lamb chops grilled chicken wings and 2 large sides. Food was prepared fresh and succulent. Flavour was spot on. The fried chicken was fresh and extremely tasty. Customer service was really good with all requests being catered to. On a separate occasion we ordered takeaway and the food was just as good! A great new addition to Goodmayes. Well worth a visit.”

“Whhhhhaaaaat?! I can't believe this place has had bad reviews! I think it's amazing and you actually taste the subtle flavours in the light sauces. It's not just all swimming in ghee. Maybe the portions aren't huge but you can taste it is quality meat so i'd rather a smaller portion of something lovely than a huge portion of dubious cheap meat. The prawns are amazing, big fat and juicy with actual flavour not just cheap shriveled up. Yes they do tend to be on the mild side but they will spice them up for you if you request.”

“I ordered a portion of onion bhaji and they were so lovely, fluffy & crunchy! I also ordered a lamb biryani. The portion was very big so I had to take the leftovers home! It was jam packed with flavour, moist & tender meat. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were very friendly and chatty, so much so the wait did not feel as long as it did. I highly recommend ordering takeaway or eating in!”
