“I had the most amazing stay here for my birthday. The hotel was unique with stunning decor - highly unusual but brilliant. The hotel had made every effort to recognise the occasion - the room was aptly decorated with balloons and a handwritten message on the mirror. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was nice - a lovely buffet selection. My dietary needs were catered for (gluten/dairy free). The hotel is situated in Islington - a very short walk to the canal. A morning walk along the canal to Canary Wharf and back along the Thames Path was the best start to the day! There are some beautiful spots along the canal to stop for a coffee or bite to eat - these are within a 5 minute stroll from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel - it made a really nice change to stay somewhere a little different/unique.”

“Rooms are almost perfect except the size. Smaller but cleverly designed. There is no wardrobe that you can hang many clothes, either you keep them in the baggage or bring an iron. The location is great, very close to almost everything. People are friendly, they try to do their best to solve any need.”

“Thank you so much for a great stay. Only criticism is your photos don’t do the rooms justice! Much bigger than expected, clean, comfortable and love the window with blind and black opt options… All staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Great central location near public transport links.”

“What an impressive building in the middle of the Richmond park. Commissioned in 1725 as a hunting lodge for George I, White Lodge remains part of the Crown Estate to this day and partly housing the well known The Royal Ballet School. Here a little bit of a history: A misunderstood politician John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute (1713–1792) was appointed Ranger of the Park by George III in 1761 and took up residence at White Lodge. In 1801, George III assigned White Lodge to Henry Addington (a middle-class Prime Minister), later Viscount Sidmouth, as a ‘grace and favour’ residence. Addington, who served as Prime Minister from 1801 to 1804, remained at the Lodge until his death in 1844. The Empress Elizabeth of Austria-Hungary (Sissi) (1837–1898) stayed at White Lodge for the hunting season in the summer of 1874. In 1881 Sir Henry Irving and Ellen Terry were guests, the famous Victorian actors, who had recently starred at the Lyceum Theatre as Hamlet and Ophelia in Shakespeare’s tragic play of Hamlet. In January 1912, the famous ballerina, Anna Pavlova, and her partner, Laurent Novikoff, performed at Richmond Theatre with the members of the Company of the Imperial Ballet, St Petersburg. Many decades later, students of The Royal Ballet School would follow in Pavlova’s footsteps, dancing each summer at Richmond Theatre during the 1970s and 1980s. On 13 August 1924, there was another royal birth at White Lodge. Prince Aleksander Pavlov Karadorevic was born to Princess Olga of Greece and Denmark and Prince Paul of Yugoslavia, in the same room as that in which Prince Edward of Wales had been born, 30 years earlier. The marriage of Mrs Reynolds Albertini and Colonel James Veitch of the Coldstream Guards was reported in the Evening News on 12 April 1950. They continued to occupy White Lodge after the war, and hosted Marshal Tito there when he came to England on a state visit, March 1953. The Foreign Office agreed to Tito’s entourage being 29 strong, but let only 12 reside with him at White Lodge. For security reasons, Tito was not accommodated in a London. During the Autumn Term of the new academic year 1955/6, the first cohort of students boarding at White Lodge had to travel to their daily lessons at the School's Colet Gardens site in Barons Court, as the Stable Block classrooms were not yet ready.”

“From the moment I arrived at the London Marriott Regent’s Park, I was an emotional wreck. I had just discovered that the home I’d booked through Booking.com was suddenly unavailable, leaving my family and me stranded with two small children in a foreign city. To say I was upset would be an understatement. But the moment I stepped into the Marriott, everything changed. I was greeted by Thanuka, whose kindness and calm demeanor immediately put me at ease. He didn’t just check me in — he checked on me. His empathy and professionalism turned a very stressful situation into one filled with comfort and care. The entire Marriott team went above and beyond to make sure my children and I were taken care of. From arranging a smooth check-in to ensuring we had everything we needed, they truly embodied what hospitality is all about. Every interaction felt genuine — like we were being looked after by family. What started as one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had ended up becoming one of the most memorable, thanks to this incredible team. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion, attentiveness, and warmth. If you’re considering where to stay in London — choose the Marriott Regent’s Park. Not only will you find comfort, but you’ll find a team that truly cares.”

“Amazing boutique hotel and staff. Some people complained about construction and noise but we didn’t experience any. As of our stay Nov 19th 2025, it was done. Renovated rooms looked great, very nice amenities, bed was ok but not as comfortable as it can be for a Marriott property, a bit short for a 6’2” person and pillows were a bit hard foam, the bathroom clean and spacious with very nice heated floors. Breakfast was great, restaurant staff were externally friendly and helpful, Murat, Marc, Nilam, and Palak were all amazing, thank you team for making our stay special. Will definitely come back. Very conveniently located in central London, close to train station and shops. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Would recommend this place and I would stay here again.”

“Me and my friend planned a short trip to London and looked for an affordable hotel which was still clean and had was in a good location. And we were so happy with staying in this hotel. Very affordable for two interns and super clean. Room was really small but absolutely stunning. Really modern and bright. We felt really save there and it is close to the train station which was amazing. There is also a supermarket in the area so everything is just around the corner. The bathroom was separated by an almost transparent wall which put our friendship to the test but really nothing to complain about.”

“The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very cordial and accommodating. Food was always fresh and delicious and the variety offered was very good. I had my exams while I was quarantining here, such a great experience for exam revision and then attempting exams themselves. I will always come back here because the staff, Johnny in particular and all the rest of the staff, made me feel at home!”

Comfortable bed, bathroom toilet was real clean as I use to work a housekeeper of 5 star hotel . My family member was happy as they visited from Thailand. She is 82 years old. Lucky the house was perfect for her condition. I usually don’t like to give feedback but to be honest . They customer service help line was good. “Could not recommend this place more! Food was incredible - the carnitas tacos at are top tier (please don’t tell my wife who preferred the chicken) and how do I begin with the service! Didn’t matter who I spoke to, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I will absolutely be bringing my staff party here for a night out - cocktails are incredible, plus they have every drink we could possibly need. While I appreciate everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, a big shoutout to Sophie and Luke for sorting us an area on a busy night, Luke with the logistics and Sophie with the greatest vibes. 100% recommend coming here for any occasion, food is sublime, drinks the best in Wandsworth, and service top top tier. I’ll see you all very shortly!”

“I don't know how I found this please but I just did after hours of searching a non-chained hotel, classic British looking that has maintained its elegance, remote location and offers wonderful perks and I was lucky to find this place. We booked to celebrate our overdue wedding anniversary and our only regret is that we could have stayed one more day! The building and setting looks like one of those that appears in Downtown Abbey's series! The reception staff (despite being new) attended to us and checked us in by letting us know our room was upgraded. She was courteous and soft spoken. We requested 3 course dinner meal as part of our stay, which was fulfilled as well. Our room was gorgeous, there was a hand written note with gesture of box of chocolates, which I am thankful for. It is to welcome us on our anniversary stay. The room was rustic, classic and clean with office table and a soft with a view. The standard condiments were available such as teas and coffees but in addition there were biscuits, popcorns and crisps. Once checked in, we went out to walk around the gorgeous building and then towards Virginia Lake. We got back and went for our 3 course meal. The dining experience was slightly a let down. Both courses (starters and main) had limited options and the ones I would have gone for had extra supplement charges. So we ended up having what's offered as part of the package - I had pork chop, it was dry and had no flavour and my wife had plaice, which had £10 supplement but she too didn't enjoy it that much. Our pudding however something we both enjoyed. However, our breakfast experience compensated for the dinner experience! The spread wasn't overbearing, yet wasn't too little either. The English breakfast looked freshly cooked, there was no strained liquid on bacon (though it was a bit dry), sausages, hash browns, mushrooms looked too tempting to resist. They had freshly baked pastries as well and cold breakfast like yogurt/berries/salami/fruits etc. I would go back to this hotel just for the breakfast! It was so comforting. On this occasion, it might be a pure luck - we went on a weekend where the hotel was hosting "wedding show", so at our point of check out, the singer Frank Cognoscenti of Sinatra Tribute was performing. We spent 20-25 mins listening to Sinatra songs which was wonderfully sung by this gentlemen, who also sang My Way at my request...what a way to end our weekend away. With or without Sinatra, with or without dining experience, we would come back here again as we loved the location, the building and the hospitality of this hotel. Anyone who reads my reviews by now would note, its not just the food or the how "up market" it is but its more about little gestures that make you feel warm and cosy and want to come back again. And thats what RBH has achieved. Highly recommended.”

“My goodness this restaurant is incredible and delicious! We had a big party of 8 people and service was remarkable. Beautiful atmosphere and wide variety of menu options and lots of gluten free options! Alex took such great care of all of us and went out of his way to make sure all of my dishes were celiac friendly! I highly recommend this spot. The Patatas Bravas were particularly delicious! Thank you Alex!”

“I've stayed at new road quite a few times and I always enjoy my stay. The staff are friendly and I love the games room. It can get noisy at times due to the area but I always ask for a quieter room towards the back of the hotel. Restaurant food is hit and miss but the servers are great. “So we made a mistake when booking (rather than the 21st to 23rd had booked 20th to 22nd!) and panicked when we arrived about the night that hadnt been booked. The manager put us in the room we had booked and was able to book us into a different room for the following night which we were able to transfer into early in the morning. The breakfast is amazing. The pool is incredible. Special shout out to the pool attendant who let me and my special needs child into the pool close to closing time. We weren't that thrilled with the areas of Guildford we explored, but would return purely for this hotel, fantastic”

“If you are looking for a no frills room that is in a superb location, this hotel is for you. I only stayed one night for business. When I checked in I was feeling terrible and I arrived early. Check in wasn't for another hour, I was going to cancel my room and book at another Marriott since I have status and usually can check in early. The young lady working at the front desk was super helpful and saw that I wasn't feeling well, I didn't catch her name I wish I had because she sprung into action. She told me to have a seat and she was going to see what she could do to help. She was so kind and empathetic and was able to get me into a room quickly so I could rest. I appreciated that gesture beyond belief! The room was clean, no frills, just a bed, small bathroom and necessities. If you've ever stayed on a cruise ship, the rooms are exactly that of a cruise ship. The location is across the street from Victoria train and underground station with food and transportation. Even though it was only for one night, it was a wonderful experience with Marriott hospitality that makes me continue to be a loyal customer.”
