“Really good food nice friendly people I ordered 2 half pounders with 2 chips meals are 8 pounds so 16 pounds for a lot of food you can get half a chicken for 12 pound always clean never had a issue”

“Nice little boozer, friendly and polite staff and the cloudy apple Strongbow is perfect. Clean toilets, children and dog friendly. They serve a huge range of food at lunchtime which you order from the small cafe situated in the carpark. The cafe staff bring it over to you. And the food is outstanding. My only criticism is, it doesn't open until 12 noon. 11am would be better. I've used this pub a few times now. And I will definitely use it again. Nice friendly customers, sky sports, pool table and dart board.”

“I ordered starters crispy squid, gizzard and there was another order of chofi. Must say the squid wasn’t nice at all. It was shaped like nuggets not your usual ring shape which made it taste battery instead of tasting the actual squid quite disappointing. Must say the rest of the starters that was ordered were really nice and well seasoned. Also the moko it came with was delicious. I got jollof as takeaway yet to taste it. Deffo do recommend this restaurant service was great.”

“I went in there with two dogs and very pleased that the lady offered me water for the dogs as well as treats. It seems to have improved since new management have taken over. I didn’t have food but did see other customers with food and it looked good so I’m tempted to try it. I think the dogs give you 10 out of 10 for the crisps and water. Lol”

“We recently visited again after a gap of circa 3 yrs. We were very pleased with the back to usual high standards. Food was fabulous and so was the service. Truly surprised and would like to visit again. Parth our waiter was very friendly and efficient, THANK YOU. As for service charge that some ppl ate cribbing about, do note its purely optional but we decided to pay as both service and food quality were of very high standards. “Had a great stay here for 4 weeks..very clean and excellent location close to Croydon city with bus stop right at door step.....Very friendly and helpful staff ! my room was specious with newly renovated bathroom. “I visit this Cafe Nero often and Alex in particular is always attentive and makes the best coffee he is always super focused when you walk in. Today, I walked in after a long day and got a coffee and a cornflake tart even though he wasn’t the one serving me he let me know that it had alcohol in and the other sweet treat didn’t. He is also very calm and patient when i am indecisive some days which he does not have to be! This level of attentiveness is very rare I really appreciate it. Thanks !”

“I’ve been to this branch of Starbucks a couple of times recently and it’s been great. My friend is disabled, so parking is very convenient as there are Blue Badge parking spaces directly outside. Access is easy too. The staff are all friendly and you don’t feel rushed, even when it’s near closing time. One outstanding member of staff we encountered was Elaine, the manager, who is incredibly friendly, warm and kind. She was extremely considerate and helpful towards my friend, who needed to access the toilet. Elaine made sure she could navigate her way to the toilet safely and that there were no obstructions in her way. On our way out, just as the shop was closing, Elaine cheerfully called out to say goodbye, which was a lovely touch. It’s warm, friendly and helpful staff members like Elaine who contribute to a positive experience when visiting a coffee shop. Thank you Elaine. You’re an asset to Starbucks. Update: When I first encountered Elaine, I mistakenly thought she was the cleaner as she was mopping the floor. On my next visit she told me that she was actually the manager and had found my post hugely amusing. This just shows what a wonderful sense of humour Elaine has! It also shows how the manager is prepared to do any task that is required.”

“As someone with a parent from the Caribbean can say really fantastic food here! Was excited to see this new place near by and can say it's some of the best we've had! We had Brown Stew Chicken and Oxtail which was packed with flavour including the rice. Mac and Cheese &, plantain also great. Was able to eat it in the Golden Ark pub two doors down as well as they have very friendly management! Will definitely be going again.”
